Location was excellent, ski-in ski-out to the green Family quad lift, just above the ski pass shop. Short hill walk to the main street with restaurants and food vans. The Family lift and slope is also accessible late into the evening for night skiing so less of a concern when timing our exploration to get home. We very rarely had to wait for any lifts across all 4 ski areas, although we did hear from staff and other skiers that there are very long queues during peak Christmas/New Year holidays. March was beautiful weather with snow almost daily (usually overnight), with bluebird days, so we enjoyed powder snow skiing plus excellent views of Mt Yotei from our hotel room and from the ski slopes. Hirafu area was the best of the 4 areas in terms of ski slope variety and lift accessibility, and I'm very happy to have booked our stay here for our first Niseko ski holiday!
The front staff were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations on ski passes and slopes for different abilities. The hotel provides discounted ski pass ticket which must then be exchanged for the actual pass at the ski pass shop. They were also very kind to gift us a bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon stay and ensured we had one of the best newly refurbished Western style rooms. The price of our stay was excellent for ski-in ski-out and in-room onsen!
The room was huge with a sofa, two super-single/small double beds, and a tatami area presumable for adding a futon if required for more guests. We had full-length glass windows and two in-room private onsen baths with magnificent views of Mt Yotei. One was a foot bath with a ledge and cushions to sit on and no attached and the other a normal onsen tub with attached shower. The tubs were clean and the water is drawn from real hot springs from Mt Annupuri with a slight mineral smell. Soaking in the hot tub after a long ski day and enjoying the sunset view of Mt Yotei was definitely one of the highlights of our stay!

The peoperty is very comfortable especially the rooms were amazingly devided! The bathtub with mountainview was devine.
The restaurants were one by one amazing. The little cafe is as well a plus. They could add a little general story in the hotel, however when i asked for a band-aid they imediately brought it to my room. I could for ever how everything was amazing!

Niseko is the place you go when you want to travel/ski but want to feel like your still at home with all your comforts. The mountains pretty nice and not as busy as I expected in the late season.
Hirafu is stupidly over priced for accomodation and food. it's the Whistler of Japan. Lift tickets are expensive compared to most other resorts in Japan.
I only came because I had to do some training at Grand Hirafu.
I ended up staying in Kutchan for 5 of my 10 days as its more affordable and has more of an authentic Japanese feel, although you then may have to wait for buses and you'll be sacrificing the night life if thats what you're into.
Overall I would not return to Niseko unless it was a powder day and I was riding with some friends. Theres plenty of other options to choose from in my opinion.

Niseko is great for snowboarding.
Niseko is great for snowboarding. We were here for the powder and didn’t do much else. The mountain is not huge, but it is bigger than any other we have been to in Japan. The price is higher also. But you get some fun runs in and the tree areas are uncrowded. Would be great if there were more restaurants in the area that are halal or vegetarian friendly advertised on google maps. There are seasonal shuttle buses that operate in the area and the online maps and real time display of bus location is pretty good. Afuri has vegan ramen which was pretty good. Home Made Udon Goroku had vegetarian options also pretty delicious.

Hirafu (the main town around Niseko) is a vibrant ski town with lots of restaurants. I loved it. The skiing was great and so was the nightlife. You do not need a car if you stay in Hirafu. The only caution is that the town feels less Japanese and more “western,” with lots of western food and visitors from Australia, US and Europe. It felt less Japanese than I was expecting. For some visitors, that could be a plus. For others, it may be a negative.

Niseko is a very nice ski resort.
Niseko is a very nice ski resort. Everything is very well organised as in most Japanese ski resorts. The size of the ski resort and number of lifts allows to stay for a 2-3 days without feeling you rode this slope 10 times already. Connection with Niseko Village is not very convenient as you have to get quite high to move across. If you get there during peak season, book your restaurants way ahead otherwise, you will end up getting your food from the food trucks and Lawson. A mix of both will allow to manage your budget. Things are globally more expensive here than man other resorts.
We had booked a twin room as there were no doubles available. Great storage facilities, very helpful and friendly staff, great transport arrangements right outside the door to get us up to and back from the ski resorts. It was a nice walk when we did it, into Niseko and back. Breakfast was a buffet style and offered a fabulous choice of both hot and cold foods. We used the dining room twice in the evening - a limited choice - but it was okay. We were met at the point where we were dropped off in town on our arrival and driven to the hotel.
This is a lodge made by and for skiiers and snowboarders. I was expecting a more budgeted hotel but what I got was a very cozy stay with fantastic location and amenities. I really like that the staff shuttles guests to the lift first thing in the morning and there's a storage shed for your gear. Also the lounge and dining room are very comfortable to chill by the fireplace or hang out with friends. Beds are very comfy and you have a great view of Mt. Yotei.
The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was tremendous; what a great way to start each day. The room was beautiful with breath-taking views of the surrounding area. The ski/boot room was very convenient. A very short walk to the family lift, which made the rest of Grand HIrafu very accessible. Shuttle service from and to the welcome center and other resorts topped everything off.
The staff was unbelievably amazing. They made me feel like family. Very friendly, informative, and accommodating. The location is a little off the beaten path, Therefore quiet and peaceful. I had a car, so it was fine. There are 2 restaurants on site. One is budget friendly and the main lodge restaurant is top notch. The higher end restaurant was absolutely phenomenal food. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We got the 2 bedroom suite. There is a washing machine inside the room which is a big help. The kitchen is also very nice and functional. The view outside the window is gorgeous.
The hotel is easily assessable skiing down from the Hilton gondola. The Niseko Village side is quiet and less crowded compared to the Hirafu side which I think is more suitable for families.
Very friendly ski lodge for English speaking guests. The owner and staff were very helpful arranging for ski rentals and gave me a ride to the Niseko train station. Loved the location a few minutes' walk to the lifts at Annupuri, the onsen, and a variety of highly rated nearby restaurants. The included breakfasts are really good and I stayed in and ate the very good ramen at the lodge all 3 nights.
We had a good experience at the Green Leaf. It was nothing extraordinary but everything was nice enough. The Niseko-Yo shuttle bus to/from Hirafu was a little frustrating and the rooms were a little tight but we appreciated the proximity to the mountain and the onsite onsen that was rarely busy. Other pros were ski lockers that came with the room, the bar in the lobby, and the self serve laundry.
Super comfortable bed and ample space for the clothes. Also we liked the communal seating area with large bay windows, we spend a lot of time there. The lodge is located on the outskirts of the village, but we actually preferred that, seeing how crowded Niseko has become. Lawsons is just across the street, and a couple of nice restaurants right next door.
The layout and location was ideal, not right in the heart of Grand Hirafu, but accessible by shuttle bus. We had a lodge for 4 nights and it was very roomy for our group of 6. The hotel Onsen was lovely and the staff were so helpful. I will definitely recommend this property to anyone travelling to Niseko.
Located at a nice secluded spot at the foothills of Niseko Annupuri resort, right on the slope, offering calmness and literal "ski out of the door". I would say it is one of the best places in Niseko for those who want to max out the ski time. Very clean and newly refurbished, with few Japanese quirks.
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Driving you to the slopes or into Hirafu village a couple of nights a week. The breakfast buffet is great and the perfect way to fuel up before a day of skiing. The lodge also attracts fun social people so I made some great friends while I was there!
Ski in and ski out is unbeatable with the nisekovillage ski slopes being less crowded than hirafu. The onsen is beautiful as well but the lack of towel service and service staff in the onsen is concerning. There were people with phones in the onsen and misbehaving making loud noise.
Worst place ever
Once you book with this property there’s no exception to cancel through reservation nor change the date.
Management is extremely rude & slow on respond
We travel many different countries and there was always exception. This hotel gave us bad image of japan
very friendly and helpful staff! great breakfast and a beautiful lodge. every room has its own bathroom. the lodge is located at about 5 min driving from hirafu gondola and miru provided us with many rides to and from the gondale.
Nice little ski lodge. The location is an outside of Niseko village, an 8 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop. Great free breakfast in the morning and the hosts are very friendly!!
Free shuttle to Grand hirafu, free miso soup, owner very generously dropped me at train station when I told him taxi was super expensive! Indian restaurant nearby and Seicomart
Modern, clean hotel with friendly staff. Great location if you don't mind walking for the cost, and has a very handy shuttle service to Hirafu and Hanazono to supplement this.
Kind staff. Great location, walking distance to Hirafu resort and shopping and restaurants. Had dry room, unlike the other hotel I stayed in. Good breakfast.
