APA Hotel Takasaki Ekimae, hotel in Takasaki

Directly connected to JR Takasaki Train Station, APA Hotel Takasaki Ekimae offers rooms with an LCD TV and an en suite bath. It features a sauna and a hot spring bath.

Standard typically efficient APA Hotel. Next to the Station. A bit of street noise/ music can be heard but nothing really to be bothered about, after all it is a central location. Had my luggage delivered by Yamato from Yamagata. Hotel staff were very professional in keeping it for me .

We liked everything about this hotel, which is located right on top practically of the Takasaki Train Station. It is clearly a hotel targeting businesspeople. The breakfast offerings were abundant and diverse, Western and Asian. There was a coin self-service laundry which we used - and had not expected. Our room was small. Bed was very comfortable.

Hotel Coco Grand, hotel in Takasaki

Only a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Taksaki Train Station, Hotel Coco Grand features a spa centre with spacious public baths and a relaxing terrace.

The breakfast is abundant with choices by Japanese standards. It's very authentic local food. Having stayed in many hotels in Tokyo, and this is really the best compared in any measure. The staff is super nice and courteous. The clean crew really pays attention. I have a small blanket. They always fold it nicely. The room has everything you need, and the location is fantastic. it is on the east side of the train station, not too crowded compared to the west side, but easy access to all the shops and food places.

We were at an event at the stadium which was walking distance from the hotel. The locals are helpful if you get lost. There's plenty of 7/11 shops to buy food from if you don't like the hotel breakfasts. There's a monument to visit and the train station has the Bullet train links to Ueno where you get on the "underground" style service into the city.

Definitely check out D'z racing cafe. The shop is a must stop at if you are a fan of Initial D, cars, or just want a quick bite to eat. Also check out the many "onsen" and the shrines that they have there.

    The city wasn't so rural.

The city wasn't so rural. It could give vibe of metropolitan area as i wanted. Neither crowded nor sparse. I felt like there weren't enough branches of cheap eating chains. So we ended up having dinner at quite more expensive restaurant than we would usually do.

This feels like a luxury hotel with a budget price. It is right next to the station and you can check in and out electronically using a screen so not speaking Japanese isn't a problem. The staff are very friendly though and helped me with all my questions. The room is good size and has a great view of the mountains. No complaints about the bathroom or anything. I recommend having breakfast which combines Japanese and Western cuisine, also unlimited coffee refills.

Location Location Location, the hotel is just up from the JR station and within a shopping mall. Across the road there is also shopping malls and big supermarket. Staff are extremly welcoming and the room is modern and clean. They do offer breakfast and buffet lunch but we didn't have time to try.

Lovely hotel ! The onsen was great with an outdoor bath. View from the room on the lake. Japanese-style dinner and breakfast were absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Comfortable japanese-style room (futons) where the whole family can sleep "together". All of the above for a more than decent rate.
