The bed is very soft, I don’t think it would be fit for most of guests.
Featuring sea views, this stylish hotel is set in a renovated Art Nouveau-style warehouse by the Ålesund Strait. Guests can enjoy cocktails and a wide selection of wine at the on-site ARKIVET Bar.

I loved that it wasn't very big, yet there was plenty to do there, and it was beautiful as well. I really enjoyed hiking up around the Aksla. There were plenty of excursions that could be done from there, and the scenery was gorgeous. It was very easy getting around the town, whether on fun or via public transportation, and it was relaxing.

Alesund is very beautiful seen from above so make sure you go to Aksla viewpoint where you arrive.
You will love the city if you love the Art Nouveau style.
I am not a fan of this type of architecture so I was not amazed by the city while I was walking in. There is a bit of lack of life and it's very quiet.
However, the landscapes and the nature all around the city is absolutly stunning so this is a great reason to visit this town.

Great city to end my trip around the famous Norwegian Fjords. Clean and walkable city center. Don’t miss out on the 400 steps to the view point above the park. A few restaurants to choose from. Visit the Ålesund aquarium and take a stroll around the old harbor area.

Alesund is a nice town, with much to see. We only thought that there wasn't a lot to do in the evening. For excursions there is plenty of possibilities. Two days is enough for me. Nice that we have seen this.

We were there too late in the season to do the things we wanted to do. The fjord trip was great, but I was hoping to get to Geiranger and Trollsteigen. A pretty place, but not much to see or do in October.

Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature.
Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature. We did the walk to the summit but that was all we enjoyed. So glad we did not stay two nights. It’s a very strange place with few places to eat.
The room was spacious and clean. The kitchenette has everything, if someone wants to cook. The property has also a bigger kitchen, available for all guests, where you can find a bigger fridge, a microwave oven etc. The host (Rolf) was very polite and helpful; always willing to provide information about the city. We booked the room with private bathroom but could also use the sitting and dining areas of the whole property, which were very nice. The room price was very good (compared to prices in Norway). The location is excellent.
It’s a little out of town but worth it for the ambience of the property. We were warmly welcomed and helped with suggestions for dinner and parking in the centre of Alesund. Our room was more like a suite, very spacious and richly furnished in keeping with era of the house. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms we’ve had and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and delightfully served on a tiered platter and crystal dishes. Made us feel like royalty.
Very clean and close to the city center apartment. Self check-in available as there is a locker on the main door. However we were waited by Kristian at the property who let us in and show us everything. Property has an open room with a fully functional kitchen and an extensible sofa bed. The sofa bed is very comfortable as it has a proper mattress. There is also a washing machine at the property. Bed linen and towels are included which is a rare for Norway.
It’s located in the city of Alesund. Easy to find anything you need and not far from the attraction spots. The room is quite large, It is suited for our groups (4persons). And the equipments in the kitchen are provided enough for cooking. It looks like the room just be renovated so it’s quite new inside the room. The wifi is fast and there is smart tv so you can enjoy youtube or etc.
The facilities were excellent, places to sit and watch the sun set and provision made for it being cold. Breakfasts were appetizing and the room was clean and comfortable. Using the facilities well after we booked out for the wait for the Hurtigruten, the Quality Hotel staff made us feel welcome and at ease. Thoroughly recommended for a stay in Alesund.
Very central location in the city center of Ålesund.
Parking was easy on the street (nearby 2 min walk)
The kitchen is equipped with everything you can imagine even a coffe-machine and expresso machine!
The appartmen is huge!
A big sleeping room with very comfortable bed, a huge living room with TV and free wifi.
Huge bathroom with a great shower
I have been in Ålesund multiple times, and this place so far is the best one for this price! Very well furnished and clean. Also the view from the balcony is tremendous. Inger, the manager of the apartment helped me with a few questions. She was really nice & professional. I am more than satisfied and will return again in future. Highly recommended!
I expected a view of the bay, but got a view of a huge ship, the parking near the hotel does not belong to the hotel and I had to pay an additional 250 kroons for parking, I booked a room for two adults and a child, when I arrived they demanded to pay 300 NIS for a bed for a child . In a word, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in....
The hotel was perfectly located for exploring Alesund and beyond. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor baths and the breakfast was excellent, catering to all tastes. This was an unexpected second visit to the hotel because of Storm Hans. We had no hesitation in returning.
This hotel was one of the best we had in Norway. We felt very welcomed and the hotel seemed to be very new. Thus it was super clean and modern.
The breakfast in the morning was also super nice and the staff did a great job; they were very friendly and helpful.
We would have definitely stayed longer if we could have!
The hotel offers a quaint and old-Norway lodge or inn feel complete with cozy sitting areas and lobby fireplace and side Scandinavian style restaurant with fabulous breakfast buffet. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms intimate and have authentic old European touch.
A special retreat in Alesund
Linda’s house is conveniently located just outside Aalesund, and has too many great features for one review). We liked before all her attitude (as arrived late), private parking spot, spacious bedrooms, and of course the sauna.
The room, and the hotel in general, was basic but clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. The location was easy walking distance to anywhere in town. We would chose this hotel again.
Fab hotel right on the quayside in Alesund. Stones throw from lots local restaurants and lots walking opportunities nearby. An amazing breakfast far outweighs what looks like a standard hotel
We had great experience traveling in Norway for 18 days. However, the occurrence with this accommodation and extensive interaction with this landlord had been extremely disappointing.
