I checked in around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Check in was fast due to small queue. I was given a room on the 14th floor right in front of the elevator. The windows were facing the sunrise east. The view looks sad. The hills looked barren with no grass and the clouds looked grey. Then things went wrong further when I tried to use the safe. When I keyed in a password, it started beeping non stop! I think it has a battery problem. There were no telephone in the room so I had to go down to tell the reception to fix the safe. However, she instead gave me another room on the same floor.
This time I got room 1409. This time the room window was facing west. Much better as I could see snow capped mountains and the parked yatches at the harbour. I liked that the room has a TV with some decent channels. Was able to watch some performers on Eurovision but I turned it off because the performances were so weird. I liked the shower facilities. It came with towels, soap, hair dryer, waste bins, tissue box and a place to hang your towels. No bathtub but its ok. The room was carpeted which was nice on the feet.
I didn't ask the room cleaning lady to clean my room but I did throw my trash in the trolley bin once every 2 days with my own trash bag. I also liked the elevator. It was fast to arrive.
The breakfast spread was royalty standard. My favourite was the scrambled eggs, baked beans, baked potatoes, salad, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, smoked salmon, yogurt, apple juice and hot chocolate. It opens at 6.30am on weekdays but they actually open the doors 5 minutes earlier. Travelling around Bodø was easy as there are many electric scooters around like Tier and Ryde.
Overall, I was initially contemplating to choose either Raddison Blu or Comfort Hotel but Scandic Havet is more peaceful with better views and breakfast. The location is also better. I also liked that the Grocery stores (REMA 1000 and EUROSPAR) are all nearby. The airport is walking distance.

Bodo was a great place with loads to do.
Bodo was a great place with loads to do. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend enough time but whatever little we spent- we explored the town in the night especially with the full daylight. In the morning we managed to complete the Keiservarden hike as well. Would have loved to spend more time and do the Salten area. Hopefully next time

We were in Bodo for just two nights and didn't wish to rush around, so we enjoyed exploring the waterfront and harbour area, watching the boats and taking in some of the restaurants and bars there. We arrived by train and left by plane - it was just great to be able to walk to the airport, which is close to the centre of the town yet we weren't disturbed by any noise from it during our stay.

Bodø is a charming, very walkable city where lots has been done to make streets accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The city center (~ from the inner harbor to around Bankgata) is small, with a nice mix of new and traditional architecture and building styles. The streets have trees and wide sidewalks. The main shopping street, Storgata, is very nice and has a wide variety of shops that culminate in the Glashuset interior shopping area with the Koch Shopping Center attached.
I can recommend Nyholmen fort as a nice picnic spot with great view of the city - it's easy to reach it by bicycle. Also recommend the Jektefartsmuseum, which is about 4 km away from the city center.
On my next visit, I would stay a day or so longer and maybe get a rental car one or two days, to be able to go to Kjerringøy. But would also rent a bike again, as well, since getting around Bodø on bike is super easy.

Such a wonderful place, we loved the area and the lack of commercialism. We enjoyed exploring the town and the aircraft museum. We hired a car and visited Mjelle Beach up the coast and the maelstrom which I would highly recommend.

Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink.
Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great natural attractions not too far away; like Saltstraumenbrua, with the fastest running water and whirlpools. Also, the Norwegian Avaition Musem in the noprth of the city is well worth a vist if you have an interest in aircraft and military history.
This is a nice little hotel with all the amenities. I was here for just one night to catch the Hurtigruten ferry the next day. I enjoyed being able to walk easily to the city center and the ferry terminal in just a few minutes. The staff was helpful and friendly. Although I checked out before breakfast, the hotel packed me a couple of nice sandwiches to take with me. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in Bodo.
Excellent location overlooking the harbour from the rooms, restaurant & breakfast. Stunning views! Really close to ferries, trains, buses, shops and restaurants. All the staff are extremely friendly, very professional and super helpful. The hotel has recycling bins at every lift on every floor. Loved the way the hotel has a screen offering you to book for local tours to white tailed eagles and Artic beach walks.
Hostel is really clean, the kitchen has everything you need for living actually, not just for a couple of days. There is a big dining area with a living room with a sea view. Internet is really good (I could also do some work involving video calls). For the price you really get a great place to stay in Bodø!
Very nice and attentive staff, Aside from Breakfast there were also afternoon waffles and an evening meal with soup and bread things. The hotel is about 5minutes walk from the harbour and 15mins from the airport. Very comfortable bed and large tv. Blackout curtains and windows that open.
Hotel is great..room was great, staff were great, the wife is in a wheelchair so had no problem with moving around..hotel put us close to the lift and emergency exit..room had disable facilities. We were only staying in Bodo for a few day and picked this hotel randomly..great decision.
This hotel is my go-to when I am traveling to the city for work. It's got the best prices and is clean and comfortable for a few nights. The sushi restaurant on the ground floor is delicious and the bowling alley in the basement saves even the rainiest of days!
Nice hotel with nice location in the city center. Good rooms with good beds, nice hotel facilies (free coffe and te, nice lobby, connected restaurant. Excellent breakfast with amazing selection of fresh food, difficult to stop eating :-).
Amazing hotel with wonderful and helpful crew. I love the meals, rich breakfast, waffers with brunost at 5 pm and soup at the evening! The location is fantastic, it takes few minutes to go down the harbour of Bodø.
My booking was transferred to Smarthotel nearby. Everything is perfect, and the staff there are super helpful, trying to sort things out for me. The room is tiny but well-equipped, 2min walk from the train station.
Basic Hotel with everything needed. Clean and comfortable room. The location is also very handy. Directly next to the Train station and close to the harbor where the Ferries leave.
Easy check in and check out, affordable and large breakfast spread, close to everything in Bodø and had convenient options downstairs on ground floor and beautiful view from roof
Good location five minutes walk to center, new hotel nice and clean easy to check in and out. Breakfast was very nice. Room sizes are small but you don’t need anything bigger.
Amazing hotel with a great view!
