Easy to check in and parking was adequate for a large van. Meals were still being served beyond 8pm which was good as I was a late arrival. All staff were very polite and friendly.

Prefer room on first floor, but had not specified as booked via Booking.com rather than direct. The orange dessert was simply amazing - an outstanding culinary memory perfectly matched by the recommended wine.

There was no central heating in the room so the hotel supplied us with a fan heater, our room was in the courtyard so every time we left the room we got wet because of the rain. We could not book a table in the restaurant because the hotel was busy,if it wasn't that we were so tired we would of left and driven back home as it was we got up early in the morning left as quick as we could

Overall disappointed to say the least.
Would not recommend this hotel to any one

Absolutely fabulous pub.
Absolutely fabulous pub. I've stayed here for 5 nights and had a brilliant time with everyone. It's such a welcoming place and very well run.
The room was great, plenty big enough with a private bathroom. Tea making facilities and a pot of porridge too.
There's plenty going on in the pub during the week. I arrived on a Monday and it was Poker pizza night. There is also a pool table, darts and TV's to watch your favourite sports.
Have a few beers or a few shots of "Mini Guinness" and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the bar. Even if your a solo traveller like me.... I felt very safe on my own drinking in the bar which made it more relaxing.
Johnathan and staff are fantastic and all very helpful.
Can't wait to get back!!!

Nice to get out of some of the larger UK cities and see the character of smaller towns, wander the streets and sample the local fare. Not currently a major tourist destination, Accrington is a great visit, and currently a hidden gem; except to the friendly locals.
The hotel exceeded our expectations and offered really good value for money. The room was huge and well appointed and the facilities were excellent. The grounds were well kept and despite there being some maintenance work going on it didn't interfere. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and they accommodated our early check in needs and also booked a taxi for us.
The room was really lovely and seemed to have been recently refurbished. We really liked the bathroom and the Nespresso machine.
Lovely hotel. Our room was very spacious clean and comfortable. The robes and slippers were a nice touch. We were able to use the pool and sauna which was great. Our bathroom was very modern, clean and had everything you need. The towels were fluffy and soft. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Staff were very friendly. My husband is gluten intolerant and they brought him toast with no fuss that they did in a different toaster so not to mix with regular bread.
The hotel was very convenient for transport (bus & rail stations within a couple of hundred metres) and shops were close by. The staff were really friendly and the proprietor went out of his way to help, advising on the best places to eat, local services etc.
The room was clean and tea and coffee were provided.
We were allowed access early as the rooms were ready, that was ideal as we were going to Accrington Stanley FC. Very kind of the landlord & appreciated. Rooms were fine. It's a pub and the ale was decent too. No complaints, would stay again.
Friendly staff. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. We only had one meal at the hotel and it was good. A place to purchase snacks and bottled drinks would have been much appreciated. The pillows were outstanding!
We had a lovely time for the night, the bed and breakfast was very clean and welcoming, the host was lovely and very polite, would recommend to anyone for accommodation in Accrington
The location of the property was close to the Accrington town centre and only a walk away. The communication from the host was nice as they responded to my every question and fast.
We were able to park directly outside the hotel, were given a warm welcome & allowed to check in earlier than anticipated. You're above a pub which helps if you fancy a pint.
The location was great. Very easy to find. However, the hotel entrance was through a filled-up pub and the receptionist was quite busy serving customers.
