Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We were struggling to find our way to our accommodation with our backpacks after a 9-mile walk and called our host. He didn't hesitate to reassure us that he would pick us up and get us settled in and we were so grateful! The made-to-order breakfast was absolutely wonderful. In the morning we needed to get to our next starting point and our host offered to drop us there. Our hosts were definitely exceptional!

The location was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the place is really clean. It's a home away from home. It's a plus point that they have plates and cutleries for small kids. I appreciate that there is a compilation of how the appliances operate, flyers for food deliveries, restaurant reco, and things to do.

Helpful locals.
Clean and tidy streets.
Pubs, cafe’s and shops doing a great trade.
Many outdoor facilities to choose from.
Shopping outlet by Loch Lomond a brilliant place to visit. The wee eaterie by Pavers Shoe shop is great for food, drinks, people watching, views and a good venue for men, when the ladies go shopping 😄.
This wee toon was rammed with walkers and “Kilties” ( people assisting the walkers and doing a great job of traffic management etc. keeping pedestrians and drivers safe , throughout the whole w/e ).
Outstanding wee toon.

Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch.
We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. You can easily access anywhere else in the Balloch area.

Apart from the House of Fraser shopping centre there was not much else. Ideal for walking an=round the area but the town itself is in need of investment as it was pretty shabby, poor example of the gateway to Loch Lomond

We could not have asked for more! Sheildaig Farm was absolutely perfect. Our room was so well-appointed, from the breakfast/coffee/tea/snack provisions (which supplemented the cooked breakfast) with fresh fruit and chocolate to the little fan for some extra air movement to the little hotel slippers. Comfortable true king bed. Lesley and the precious pups Ellie and Penny were so welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous adjoining field for walking and taking in loch views. The property is absolutely idyllic.
Very friendly welcome from our hostess, close to Balloch but nice and quiet. Quite a novel place, as it’s created within old farm outbuildings. Very tasty breakfast served to your room. (The best scrambled eggs I’d had in a week of travelling!) There’s a microwave in the room which could be useful if you don’t want to eat out all the time. As there were four of us our hostess offered us use of a sitting area, and there’s tables and chairs in the courtyard too.
It was available on short notice, and the keys were in a combination box outside the front door of the apartment building, so we didn't have to arrange an arrival time with the host. The value for the price was very good, and the beds were comfortable and clean. It was in walking distance of the main street of Balloch. The host has been helpful in returning a friend's cell phone that got left behind.
Beautiful little cottage, which was a short walk from all local attractions in Balloch. The cottage itself had everything you needed for a short break, and Cathy, who was a friendly lady, was only a phone call away should you need anything. If you are visiting Balloch, the two hour island cruise is a must do. The Queen of the Loch and The Tullie Inn are great places to eat and are reasonably priced.
The welcome was wonderful from Andrea and the location was perfect for walks through the country park and alongside the river.
We took a cruise round the Loch and eat out in the Balloch Hoise and the Tuille Arms, both of which were dog friendly.
Breakfast was superb and I cannot recommend the scrambled eggs and salmon enough! We will definitely be back!
it was in a great little town on the shores of loch lomond, beautiful places to walk and hike nearby. it was right in front of the dock for the loch cruises. there was the most beautiful park arount the castle 3 minutes walk away. there was a really good restaurant and a beer garden at the hotel. the rooms they gave us were outstanding.
The food was good and accommodation comfortable. The staff were amazing, nothing too much trouble, going that extra mile and all with a smile!
The hotel is situated in an idyllic spot close to amenities and lots to do. Easily accessible to Glasgow too as the train station is right next door. Amazingly the trains are very quiet.
Im not exaggerating when I say that was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had (eggs and salmon). The dining area was SO cute, everything was thoughtfully displayed, perfect portions, and all of the food was fresh and perfectly cooked.
We also loved the room! It was cozy and had all the amenities you'd need.
Balloch House is conveniently located near the train station overlooking the river. Accommodation is over a beautifull pub, where breakfast is served. My room was clean and well decorated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great service! It is a perfect base to explore Loch Lomond. Not far from Glasgow airport.
Lovely friendly staff. Restaurant very clean and the hotel room spotless. Great location for locally walking around balloch, 10 mins walk to Cameron house and also Balloch country park. Great Chinese opposite and other pubs extra locally and co-op too. 10 mins from Lomond Shores. Will book again soon.
The property is centrally located in Balloch for Loch Lomond and local amenities. Kevin & Elaine are fantastic hosts. We had an attic room that was spacious and ideal for us. The breakfast was delicious and filling. When we are next in the area, this will be our first port of call.
Very pleasant stay. The owners are extremely caring and welcoming. We really felt at home. Breakfast was delicious. We didn't have a car but the owner kindly gave us a lift to be able to arrive to the central bus station at Balloch on time. We would definitely come here next time
The apartment was clean, comfortable and welcoming. There was bread, butter, tea and coffee. Very convenient for the hospital. Quiet residential location within walking distance of both Balloch and Alexandria amenities. Friendly host visited to check we were comfortable.
Excellent welcome from all staff in all areas of The Hotel. Food was excellent and the best breakfast I have had on our journey. Room was clean and very nice and the facilities throughout well maintained. I would highly recommend Loch Lomond Hotel.
Very clean and beautiful little hotel with great staff and delicious breakfast. The parking was easy, on-site, and free. The location is within walking distance of restaurants. The bed was very comfortable.
The cleanliness of the apartment and facilities where very good. Dog friendly is a massive bonus, lovely river views and very friendly neighbours. Great location for exploring Balloch and Loch Lomond
Comfy beds and pillows! Good water pressure in the shower. The hotel was clean, and a hairdryer was provided. Can’t comment on the breakfast, because we didn’t eat there.
