Great location - short walk from all the facilities of Brecon but nice and quiet as well for good nights sleep.
Property is well equipped, clean, and a lot of thought has gone into it. Smart TV with all the usual apps (iPlayer etc. ; Amazon prime or Netflix - you’ll need your own logins for these two). Well equipped kitchen so easy to self cater. And was nice surprise to find coffee, a few milk portions, coffee and some biscuits and washing up items and cleaning items and some toiletries which were plenty for out overnight stay.
Easy check in and self check out option.

Absolutely gorgeous property. Comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Wonderful hosts who were so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. My gluten allergy was very well catered for at breakfast, they ensured the sausagea were free from with their butcher aswell as having bread and granolla available to make a delicious breakfast. The property decor was gorgeous, spotless throughout and felt like a mini hotel rather than a bed and breakfast. Would absolutely love to go back and try out the king suite with roll top bath next time! Thanks Paula and Glen for a wonderful stay.
Great location for walks but it’s SO quiet in the evenings!
Great location for walks but it’s SO quiet in the evenings! Not much option for good food except greasy ‘and chips’ places.
Next time would stay somewhere within driving distance of the Brecon National Park. Expected Brecon to be at the hub of things but wasn’t. Saying that it’s a pretty centre.

Lovely picturesque town, plenty of shops etc
Down side absolutely shockingly no transport!!!
You have to get a cab and that was almost impossible, they really need to improve transport links, I had to book a cab from abergavenny which cost a small fortune just to be able to catch train home.
It's better if you drive

From the town with independent shops to the breathtaking walks this is a lovely place to spend some time to take in the Welsh scenery. There is plenty of parking and places to stay and prices are reasonable. The museums and community centres are not to be missed.

Our visit to Brecon was to meet friends and celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a fantastic bit short trip and regretted not having more time to explore the town more as well as the local countryside.

Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself.
Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself. Other days went out to visit, wales ape and monkey sanctuary, Henrhyd waterfalls were well worth the walk down the shale track, visited Blaenavon mining museum and visited Aberfan. Each route had ideal motorcycling road and spectacular countryside views. There are also other places to visit but did not have time to visit them all. Would recommend the area for views and for walkers, lovely spots for picnics. Absulutely fantastic
We had a fantastic long weekend stay at Vale Farm. The location was perfect - about 10 mins from Brecon and within east reach of the Beacons. The scenery was stunning and the children loved playing in the field with the dog. The owners were really friendly and helpful with local information. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our 11 and 9 year olds. We will definitely be returning!
We stopped here at the last moment after traveling for 24+ hours from the US. They were able to accommodate us on short notice and let us check in early - we slept 16 hours in a very comfy bed and woke up almost jet lag free the next morning to a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend the pizza for dinner! It was a perfect start to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back when we move to Wales in a couple years.
Quiet, peaceful, cosy place to stay, very clean and tidy. Great to act as a station to explore Beacons Brecon area.
Bus T4 from Merthyr Tydfil Bus Station will take you directly to the hostel in 20 minutes. Please refer to Stagecoach website and check the bus time, the service runs between Brecon and it's very reliable.
Awesome place, fantastic people, wonderful nature. Would love to try the pod for the next stay!
An amazing place to stay! Great location for Pen Y Fan and for other fab walks in the Brecon Beacons. The town of Brecon is lovely, some great restaurants and cafes and the cathedral is a must see.
Mount Street house is a beautiful guest house, super comfy beds and lovely facilities. The breakfast was amazing, local produce and freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be back! Thank you :)
Hosts were incredible; welcoming and very informative. Felt like our own little house in the Welsh countryside. The loft was a perfect little getaway for us after Christmas. Hot tub was lovely after exploring Brecon beacons and walking up Pen y fan. Lovely shower and bathroom area and super clean. Very excited to return!
The hotel is in a good location in Brecon with easy access to the town and transport links. It is based in an interesting, historic building which is well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. There is a bar and restaurant and a good breakfast was included.
Very convenient location, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from the bedroom window were wonderful. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and the quality was exceptional. The owners were very welcoming and friendly.
Spacious comfortable room, good bed and pillows, pleasing decor, fresh & clean, lovely breakfast options all well-presented and tasty. Parking available just a few metres away. Convenient (temporary) place for the vehicle during loading and unloading. Secure code to the front door. Feels safe.
Very nice and peaceful location, did some hiking, seeing the horses and local town centres are not far. Plus Brecon National Park was not far.
The cottage was nice and cosy, generally clean (a few spiders in the living room area, but you expect that living in the farm lands)
Nice stopover on our cycle from South to North Wales - good location near the Brecon Beacons. We were able to store our cycles in a locked garage which is always great. A decent continental breakfast was provided and the room, which included a bath was good value.
Fantastic boutique hotel with rooms decorated to an exquisite standard. Fantastic breakfasts and a great location for exploring the town. Hosts were so obliging with nothing too much trouble for them. This is a real gem of a hotel. We will be booking again!
Chris is an exceptional, helpful and friendly hostess and makes you feel really WELCOME WHICH IS WHAT a solo traveller needs. Location is right on the edge of the town centre making easy access for meals. Great breakfast
Fantastic location, friendly staff, great breakfast on the second morning. Food for dinner was pretty good too. A brilliant place to be based to see the Brecon Beacons National Park. Good value for money on the room rate.
The Longhouse at Hilltops Cottages was an absolutely perfect place for us (2 couples) to stay and explore the Brecon area. Wonderful location just outside of Brecon town. Spacious, well equipped, clean and quite cozy.
Staff polite, breakfast great, lovely clean fresh bedding, great location for exploring Brecon Beacons - which was exactly what I wanted - and close enough to town to walk
Value for money - cheapest pints of Ruddles Ale I've had in a long time!
Room was comfortable but small.
Well-restored historic building.
Close to town center.
Room was comfortable and met my expectations. Location of hotel for my travels was excellent. Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Recommended hotel!
