An amazing experience to sleep in a property with the walls of Caernarfon. All the staff were very helpful. Our room was very comfortable although the pillows were too firm in my opinion. The breakfast was a winner and special mention to Delwyn who was so very helpful at the breakfast service and prevented me from burning the Inn down using the toaster!!!
Parking is arranged by the staff and we managed to park at the side of the Inn at a cost of £10 per night. However there is free parking a short walk from the hotel.
The Celtic Royal Hotel features a leisure club and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is situated in Caernarfon centre, just a 10-minute walk from Caernarfon Harbour.

Breakfast good, good choice. Nice being near sea and mid town. Got car at pay carpark, free after 5:00 p.m.. just a nice homely place.

Castle interesting and views across to Anglesey beautiful at sunset. Walled town attractive though some of the outer parts a bit run down. Seems a lively place with a buzzing Friday evening social scene. Eating places mostly offering pub grub rather than local produce.(Ok if you like chips)

Magical, Musical, Happy, Dog Friendly and helpful place.
The cobbled streets bekan horses, the Castle stands strong, proud and has witnessed passing of time.
The Marina changes as many times as the moon rising and the sun setting, mirroring the life of the Castle.
Musicians bloom like flowers. Laughter and cheer brings people together here.

Finding somewhere good to eat was difficult, everything thing was closed, it was like a ghost town. Weatherspoons food was horrendous as was the Black Boy Inn, cheap food for an expensive price, wouldnt venture there in a hurry.

Most of the city is around the castle and is very quiet at night. However, in addition to receiving poor service from the property we stayed at, I also found that it was difficult to book restaurants in advance with several websites not working or containing the wrong information, having to make several phone calls to make a booking and bookings made via web sites were not responded to.
Caernarfon and its castle are beautiful, but their use of technology me think that they are still living in the dark ages.

Very interesting town mixing Welsh and English culture.
Very interesting town mixing Welsh and English culture. The castle is the main highlight, and the narrow streets nearby, remnants of the old town. Lots of good places to eat, both for lighter meals and evening outings. Very busy in the summer with tourists, so September is a good time to visit. Lots of interesting things to do or visit nearby, if you have a car. Snowdonia, lakes and mountains. Railway journeys to other towns for a good day out. Beautiful beaches nearby, and boat trips up the Menai Straits, so there is something to please everyone. Try your hand at speaking Welsh. Most Welsh people will appreciate your trying!
Spacious and clean. A short walk from Caernarfon centre, the castle and other tourist sites, (and the pubs and take-aways.)
A view of Snowdonia from the main bedroom. Well furnished, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
We were a little uncertain about parking and possible local noise but parked right outside the door everytime, heard nothing from the neighbourhood and only saw one person walk passed the house.
We've stayed in North Wales often at various places but this new one is a new favourite and the host... fantastic!
Self-catering so we sorted out our own breakfast. Really nice as we could get up whatever time we wanted to without any pressure.
Loved the cosy yet roomy main room. Just the two of us, very snug and comfortable.
Lovely cooking area with everything you need for self-catering.
Car parked outside the front door and beautiful views from the lounge window.
And only 10 mins drive from Caernarfon centre. Fish and Chips were really great!
The property was delightful. The hotel gave us an upgrade to a garden suite, which was very generous. The reception, bar area, lounge and dining room where very tastefully decorated. All very comfortable. The food was exceptional. My wife had the scallops which were the best she had ever had, and my guinea fowl was perfect. The hotel has a varied and not overpriced wine menu. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
The owners were really nice even though we were quite late on arriving on the check in time we communicated, they were understanding and rushed through the hostel from their work briefly and accommodated us. We were also able to leave our luggages before our check in time. The whole place is very, very clean and there's even a free breakfast. The hostel is also near to a lot of shops, station, castle, sights and the sea.
The property was spotlessly clean, and cosy. We loved it. The balcony and it's view of the lake was a pleasant surprise .. perfect for breakfast & a G&T in the evening! The site was immaculate too, with restaurant & shop. Decent size pool and park if you are travelling with kids, they will love it. Caernarfon town centre is just a short drive away with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets.
The location is good for Anglesey and Caernarfon and the main route for North Wales towns Llandudno etc is close by. The house was amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. So welcoming and comfortable. I have had the privilege of staying all over the world. This is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in. Absolutely a 10/10
The hotel was nice and clean. The pool facilities were good and numbers were limited. Breakfast was of a good standard. There was a nice sized car park with plenty of spaces. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre where there was plenty of bars and restaurants. I would book to stay again.
The Chalet is so cozy and relaxing and well placed in a peaceful environment close(6-7 min drive) to Caernarfon station.
Host arranged for bread, butter and milk for breakfast. Sufficient supplies were there for tea/coffee. Think of anything home essential and it was available in charlet.
The location is fantastic. Located right next to the castle and only a few yards from multiple restaurants and pubs. There is no parking at the hotel; however, there is a large public carpark directly behind the hotel that only charges £6.00+ for 24htr parking. What a deal!
A very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities and a calm friendly welcome We particularly liked the lounge and library rooms. A very relaxing short break just a short drive/taxi ride out of Carnarvon with it's fantastic castle, town walls and and good restaurants/pubs.
Great location for visiting Caernafon Castle, less than 5 minute walk. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fabulous, excellent quality, and generous portions. Jan, and her sister Michelle, were both friendly and very helpful.
Superb location, this B&B is literally build into the castle! lovely staff, clean room, dog friendly, great food with delicious vegan and vegetarian options. We'll definitely stay there again!
Located within the old city walls and two blocks from the castle, the location is extremely convenient. The food in the restaurant on the 1st floor is yummy. The staff are amazing!
It was a wonderful stay in a very atmospheric hotel Food was great and our room was excellent Staff couldn't do enough for you Perfect stay Thank you Black Boy Inn 😀
Location and value. Clean and well presented. Handy for the “delights” of Caernarfon (beautiful place, shame about some of the revelers and rubbish left behind…)
