The breakfast was excellent, Staff very attentive and entertainment was really good. We arrived at the same time as a couple of coach parties and I imagine that was why there was entertainment provided. Lovey views over the lawns to the water. We also had a three course dinner for £20 each which was very nice and the portions were more than ample

I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Castle House Museum Gardens are beautiful and well worth the hike up to the flagpole for the view. Food and service at the Lorne Bar are excellent St Ives Hotel has a beer garden worth checking out at weekends and right next to the water. Easy to walk around. Swallow cafe could do with some staff training the person serving ice cream had an attitude issue.

The caravan we booked was excellent. It was a well earned break from home care of elderly mother . The site was gorgeous lovely walks tranquility was everything our little dog also had a great time with so many walks in different areas. Positioned perfectly for lovely walks and always people walking with or without dogs say hello. The hotel itself is wonderful and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Breakfast and dinners are great as is the overall service, very friendly.
