We thought Eastbourne town was awful and were very sorry we went at all. Even during the day, you could smell drugs in the air and there was fighting in the streets, people racing cars and motorbikes, nearly knocking pedestrians down and even with the constant police presence, we did not feel safe. Never going near the place again!

We planned to visit the Towner Gallery, but it was closed to prepare for the next exhibition. Enjoyed a show at the Devonshire theatre. Walks along the prom are nice, and views from the pier great. Eastbourne is a traditional seaside town that sees to be hanging in there better than most, although there are pockets of deprivation. Great for a few days break.

Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

Very pleasant area, the town gave off a feeling of a local village. Plenty to occupy us a large entertainment centre.
to early to appreciate the beach area, but a pleasant walk along the Broadwalk. Plenty of small resturants down the side streets
The guy who dealt with us could not have been nicer,he was welcoming, informative and very polite. The hotel is charming and in a great location right at the seafront and just a few minutes walk to the shops and train station. We had full English breakfast which was lovely and good value. The room we stayed in was small but satisfactory for a couple of nights stay ,if I was staying longer I would book a larger room . Ample tea, coffee toiletries etc, hairdryer, iron and fan .Comfortable open seating areas on the ground floor and a small bar.
The hotel was in a great location, discounted parking on the seafront outside the hotel.
Bar staff were amazing all day. Very attentive.
Has a good pool facility. Maximum of 10 people in the pool. However there was never anymore than 4-6 when we used it.
The hotel was close to the pier and town centre but far enough away to also be quiet at night.
The seating outside was great they had a smoking side and non smoking side. Good spot to sit at night.
We stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great location; very welcoming staff, nice personal attention. I'd requested twin beds and the room was made up ready. This doesn't always happen, several times in the recent past, in other hotels, we've had to wait for the room to be re-configured after check-in; comfortable bed and pillows in a lovely room. Thanks to the Victorians for building high ceilings and big windows, the room felt spacious, light and airy. A very enjoyable stay, would definitely book again.
Hashem took me to my room and showed me where I needed to go for breakfast. Breakfast was prepared by Nasser and was delicious. My room was comfortable, warm, (freezing and snow outside). A lovely location and a very pretty hotel (listed building) and gardens. I found the hotel and staff lovely, nothing was too much trouble. If I have to travel to the area again, I would definitely stay there as it was much more comfortable than the larger chain hotels.
Lovely feel to hotel, everyone so friendly from reception, catering staff & housekeeping. Lovely location for seafront. Fantastic breakfast & also a good tea tray in room which included biscuits & hot chocolate.
Beds very comfortable.
As we come from Eastbourne & was visiting friends, we know that it is a little way from restaurants / places to eat if dont want to eat at hotel. The Pilot pub in Meads is fab & only 2 mins in car or a 15 min walk.
The fact there was also a bar with sea views , the barman made superb pina coladas !
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The rooms with sea views are worth paying the extra, waking up with the breeze and the view are priceless, the restaurant food was excellent the crab avocado and scallops starter both amazing the duo of pork main was delicious 😋
If your going to Eastbourne or want a short break in a nice hotel stay here.
Staff helpful let us in room at 2pm as ready, Room upgraded see view (genius) Room 215 on corner good choice & size, ensuite bath. Ironing board, hairdryer etc. Cooked buffet breakfast, other choices. Value wise this hotel takes some beating. Paid £2 park for road permit at desk lasts till 11am next day (covers massive H zone which is most of seafront and sideroads)
Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
A wonderful guest house just 50 yards from the seafront. Excellent value for money including a good breakfast. Would recommend the Leopold room (top floor, 4 sets of stairs to go up) king superior room, nice, spacious and very clean. It's not a 4/5 star hotel, but a great value for money base for a few nights in Eastbourne. Super friendly staff.
This contemporary, light and airy B&B made a change from other places in Eastbourne. The staff were very friendly welcoming and the facilities, furniture and bathrooms were modern and clean.
The B&B is in a great location close to the seafront, galleries, theatres, restaurants and bars and a short walk from the town centre.
This was my second stay here. it is a very well modernised hotel in an excellent location. This time I had a seaview room and was pleasantly surprised by how good the noise insulation is (seaview rooms in Eastbourne overlook the seafront road). There was a good choice at breakfast and it was well served.
Location is literally few hundred yards from Eastbourne
Pier and 5 minutes from town centre . Couldn't be better.
Rooms are spotless and the owner / staff were very
helpful . Internet connection was excellent . Lots of options to eat within 3 minutes of the hotel .
Best bargain in Eastbourne !
Excellent breakfast however sausages were of poor taste, staff were very hard working and friendly hotel looked tired in places situated on right on the seafront there is parking at rear I would say it value for money.
Staff all very helpful and friendly, lovely comfortable room, high quality cooked breakfast.
Location - is situated ideally between seafront and town.
By far the best accommodation I have used in Eastbourne.
It was immaculate, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Staff were also so helpful and polite. Definitely the best place I have stayed in Eastbourne and I’ve tried most of the hotels along the seafront.
The hotel is well situated with easy parking just outside the hotel, daily tickets being available from the hotel at £2.00 per day. Breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice.
Location of course was great as you would expect booking a hotel on the seafront. However, that’s not a good enough excuse to pay that amount, the hotel was awful.
