We basically used it to sleep and shower as we spent very little time there. Late in after golf, then straight out to dinner. Away first thing next morning for Day 2 of golf.

Stunning location and views. Staff lovely, attentive and food superb.
Being a car free village made it peaceful, but with porters on hand and vehicles to pick you up drop you off to your car, it was lovely.

Walked up the steepest street in the northern hemisphere which was challenging - took me about 7 minutes.
Castle is very good.
Nice cheese and beer shop opposite the castle.
It was a good base from which to travel to other towns.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
host was great, showed us everything we needed to know, very clean place with wifi, comfy beds, shops within walking distance along with a sandy beach near bye.
Parking spaces available outside, polite neighbours, amazing views of snowdonia from the window.
waterfalls 20 mins away which were beyond breathtaking for views.
So much to do in both directions, never a dull moment and it was just nice to return after a long day to a comfy apartment to relax and watch a movie . will deffo love to return and carry on with our adventures.
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment of our arrival and throughout our stay. Deborah was very friendly and always happy to chat with us and give recommendations of places to visit in the area. The property stands in a lovely peaceful location away from town, but easily accessible by car and close enough to neighboring village for evening meal. Plenty of off-road parking available for guests. Excellent breakfast choice include, pre-ordered to personal preferences on preceding evening.
The location is absolutely amazing. The castle is only 20min away on foot and the beach a little over half an hour. Stunning view from our room facing the castle.
The hotel is newly renovated and everything was done with taste. I really liked the decor.
Also, the owners were very welcoming and helpful.
The food was good and fairly priced. We had dinner on our arrival
The whole experience surpassed our expectations.
I couldn't be more happy for choosing The Queens Hotel
On arrival we were given keys to the outer door as well as our room. Excellent breakfast, nothing too much trouble.
The room was a good size with great view out to sea. The Tea/coffee etc was topped up each morning. The room was cleaned although we had expected it not to be due to covid regs. Nice comfy bed and warm duvet.
The owners are a very pleasant couple and both have good local knowledge of the area.
Parking is at the side of the property up a steep drive.
Great location. Short walk to town center. Brilliant views of the sea from the bedroom window.
The owner was very welcoming even offering to make a pot of tea on our arrival.
The owner had added lots of thoughtful things for the house/room (eg. A small fridge in the room supplied with fresh milk!)
The whole house was scrupulously clean.
The owner gave us lots of local information about the surrounding area.
Stunning views & really lovely house - very comfortable & spacious. Breakfast was tasty & served promptly, nice & hot! Our hosts couldn’t have made us feel more welcome or at home, discreet enough to leave you to it, but always on hand for a query or with advice & information about the area. A peaceful, relaxing venue within 5 minutes walk of Harlech & the castle - just superb.
The perfect spot for a walking holiday. Spacious and comfortable rooms and generous portions for breakfast. The living room is brimming with guidebooks for nearby hiking routes. A great spot to tackle Snowdonia, which is nearby. The host knows local walks like the back of her hand, I’d recommend following her guidance!
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
A very welcoming host Saul. Great location in Harlech, for beach, golf, castle etc. Rooms decorated to very high spec. A good night's sleep! Big TV in our room and we watched some iPlayer. Access to host's kitchen too. Would recommend and hopefully stay here again. The dog Link was friendly too!
The Cottage was absolutely fabulous!!!
It had everything that we needed, was lovely and cosy.
The location was perfect a short walk down to the beach, and a short drive into Harlech itself.
We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return, we didn't want to leave
Amazing location in "upper" Harlech very close to the Castle but very quiet. Cosy well equipped cottage with beautiful views. Parking spot (important in Harlech). Shop, bars etc nearby. And a beautiful beach reached via a lovely walk through the sand dunes.
Friendly staff and two friendly huskies/hosts greeted us every morning and evening. The breakfast was lovely and having guests around with other dogs was great. Its only a stones throw away from Harlech castle and the beach aswell.
The hotel was lovely. We had a room with a big comfy bed, lots of space and a good bathroom with a decent shower. The restaurant served excellent food and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Superb location and room. Good breakfast. The proprietors Mark and Linda were very friendly, and helped to make our visit to Harlech a very successful one.
It is absolutely stunning worth every penny. The beach is to die for, the castle is beautiful and the surrounding areas just wow what a peice of heaven.
Exceptional accommodation. Very comfortable and warm. Very comfortable beds. Quiet area. We loved the hot tub! Loads of parking. Very near to the shop.
