Gorgeous location, and decor. The whole place had a homely feel.
The wet-room was perfect for hot showers and the tea-making facilities in the room was always kept filled to the brim, when I got back from work.
Mike was an unbelievable host, and he should be very proud of the offering he has.
Knaresborough is a lovely picturesque place. Small enough to walk around and big enough for keeping your interest. The town including castle associated museum, river and gardens were delightful, plenty of hostelries and cafes for food and drink for varying tastes and shops enough for any retail interests.
If that wasn't enough for you, Harrogate is just " down the road" which we didn't visit on our two night stay, being just enough for the delights of this slightly "behind present times" and overall quaint feel of the place.
Would thoroughly endorse it for a nice break although I have to say the sunshine did help the mood.

Knaresborough is a beautiful historic town.
Knaresborough is a beautiful historic town. The castle ruins are well worth a visit, and entrance to the grounds is free. The gorge through which the River Nidd flows is breathtaking, and there is an attractive path alongside it. Boating is a popular pastime. The town is well supplied with coffee shops and pubs, with some restaurants as well. The market place is good for sitting down and watching the world go by on a pleasant day, and there are references to two characters from the town's history, Old Mother Shipton and Blind Jack.

We loved our weekend in Knaresborough at the Christmas...
We loved our weekend in Knaresborough at the Christmas market and I would certainly recommend anyone to visit. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and lots of privately owned shops which is a bonus these days. A walk along the river is a must with a cafe to pop in for a hot chocolate when it’s chilly!

The location is amazing.
The cottage sits on the waters edge. Cafes and pubs can be found alongside.
Steps can be located all along the waterside to the town centre above.
The cottage has a secluded seating area upstairs for guests in the upstairs rooms. Where you get the beautiful sights of boats on the river and of course the viaduct.
The downstairs room offers an added bonus of a secluded hot tub.
We choose to pay for a hot breakfast in a cafe nearby pointed out by the host.
A continental breakfast is available on site.
Great location just next to the train station so easy access if you don't want to use a car. Parking provision nearby was fine. Friendly and helpful staff who had a laugh with us. Breakfast could have been better but I think there was a staff issue that was temporary so no problem. We enjoyed our stay with our friends and would certainly go again, perhaps using the train system to get there. Knaresborough is a lovely town - good pubs and restaurants and we found plenty of walking by the river and up to the castle.
Everything about this hotel is perfect. From the warm friendly greeting you get on arrival from Karen, the comfy beds to sleep in, the pillows on the bed that your head just sinks into. the little complimentary bottle in the bathroom. Fresh milk for tea and coffee. Biscuits and chocolates on your tea tray. All the rooms are bright and airy. The breakfast is cooked to whatever you order no matter how big or small. there is nothing i would change about this hotel at all
Great base if you want to explore the area, and the site itself is very clean with decent facilities, and some great walks you can do in the area. Dog friendly which was a must for us. Unfortunately the on site pub weren't serving food so we just ordered a takeaway which was delivered to reception to collect. The caravan was an excellent price and would highly recommend.
The room layout was nicely set out making use of space, along with being fairly modern. Good facilities and easy access from the town centre. Had a shared kitchen downstairs which was a nice addition. Blackout blinds on the bedroom windows. Comfortable bed. Great access to Knaresborough and a nice view of the castle lit up at night from a window.
The property was located centrally in town, and close to the rail and bus station.
Having a good sized lounge area made a difference in living space for my longer stay.
The apartment also had a great waterfall shower and basic, but sufficient kitchen facilities.
Milk, Bread and butter provided when I arrived was also appreciated
Very well presented, and well equipped. Towels and robes were provided for use of the hot tub. Location is great for short walk into town centre. The hosts left us a nice touch of a welcome basket and hot tub was up to temp ready for our arrival.
Very close to the town centre , lovely roomy Holiday let , clean and in a great location, a small shopping area just across road, blankets if you get cold , lots of games , baking trays etc for cooking everything you could need
Great location in centre of town and Knaresborough is an excellent centre to discover beautiful North Yorkshire.
Denise and her staff made us most welcome and the breakfasts were superb.
Excellent town centre location and easy to find. Well equipped and very comfortable stay. Nice friendly hosts.
Especially liked the private courtyard area for relaxing.
