The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

A bit run down but not bad if you want some lovely excursions...shops acceptable and some great cafes.Cable car MUST accept card payment as most people don't carry much cash with them and there were no signs informing you of this until there...very poor...but luckily we had just enough cash between us for the ride...£28...how many of you carry such cash these days?

I would definitely not advise disabled people to use it. The stairs at the front entrance are lethal plus they only had WiFi in certain parts of the hotel, usually near reception. Nothing in the rooms. There was no entertainment till the summer. The hotel itself was very comfortable but these little things spoiled our stay.

Llandudno wasn't our first choice but that's where we ended up going and on arrival immediately felt it was a good choice. The long sweeping sea front, plenty of shops, bars and cafes. It still holds on to its charm of yesteryear. The pier and tram ride up the Orme are popular. A good range of accommodation to suit most pockets. Could happily have stayed longer than our 3 nights and would happily visit again.

I love walking up the Great Orme, its tough going but the views are amazing,
The town has plenty of choice for bars and restaurants, LCs Bar, Fountain Bar, The Mediterranean Restaurant, The Taverna, The Casanova, The Cottage Loaf, to name a few. The town is also clean and has a good choice of shops...The Range, River Island, Primark, Marks and Spencers all within walking distance from main street.

I love Llandudno.
I love Llandudno. The North beach is touristy, with hotels and the pier. The West beach is not touristy at all. They are close, so visitors can easily take their pick or do both.
The Great Orme is one of the best places to go with far-reaching views. We love it up there.
The town itself has lovely wide streets with plenty of free parking. It is flat and easy to walk around. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.
The location was excellent being right in the center of the promenade. The old buildings are so beautiful on the outside. Unfortunately with historic old Victorian buildings like this, looked like ALL the hotels were also very old on the inside. Being in the bar area was where I preferred to be with the exquisite sea views. The shower was excellent. Definitely appreciated a modern shower. Also, the beds were quite comfortable. It was a nice big, space for the 2 adult parents & 18 year old son.
We where met by Melissa who was very nice. We where shown to our sea view room which was excellent had everything needed the little extra goodies with the tea and coffee was a lovely touch
The whole hotel was fantastically presented with lots of little homely touches. Definitely the nicest Hotel we've stayed in Llandudno and the price per night was very good especially getting such a tasty breakfast.
The owners were really nice. The hotel is ideally situated for the centre of Llandudno. Our room was a en suite room and had TV, tea/coffee in the room. Plenty of space with a large double bed. The breakfast was incredibly good (full Welsh) and kept us going all day. Probably one of the best we've had. We would definitely come back again.
We were welcomed to a special hotel. It had a lovely location on the promenade being accessible. We had no difficulty with parking. We had a very comfortable room - with a sea view. The dining area and bar area was accessible and staff very friendly and helpful.
The food was excellent.
Well worth a visit!
Great seaview location, comfortable beds, small car park at rear. Not all facilities were available for our stay, as the hotel is part way through renovations, but don’t let that put you off, this place has the potential to be a great addition to the seafront accommodation options in Llandudno
The hotel is located on the seafront and a 5 min walk from Llandudno Station. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and tasty. Plenty of room to relax and have a drink near reception when returning from a day out exploring.
We love this property. Friendly staff, great food, lovely room, sea view and within easy walking distance to the shopping areas and attractions. I would recommend staying at this hotel. I always search for availability at this hotel each time we come to Llandudno.
The hotel was overlooking the seafront with views out towards the 2 Ormes. Pretty much based right in the middle of the seafront so easy access into town and over to the ormes for a hike. Apart from that pretty much what you expect from a seafront hotel.
Everything, hotel, location, wonderful staff, sea views from our top room, on site parking which is definitely a bonus. What more could you ask. If we ever go to Llandudno again this will definitely be the place to stay. A tough act to follow.
Steve and Julie couldn't do enough, for all their guests. Breakfast is excellent, location close to all amenities Llandudno has to offer. Would recommend Burleigh Guest House and will definitely be returning
A lovely Easter weekend break.
Great hotel with parking which is a bonus. Very friendly staff. Rooms were of an adequate size, comfy beds and plenty of tea and coffee. Also a bottle of water which was a nice touch. Breakfast was great and plentiful.
Hotel position is great just 10 mins walk to centre. Parking is safe. Very clean rooms with great pillows and duvets. Attentive friendly staff looked after us well. Excellent food and really good and varied menu.
