Love Lynmouth, been returning many years, love its quaintness, river meeting the sea, the amazing countryside with so many fabulous walks. Little cafes, gift shops, great eateries, so many other great landmarks to visit nearby. Fabulous food, friendly locals. Nothing to not like

Very quaint.
Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. Most pubs and hotels only accept card payments.

A great place to relax and enjoy the area.A good selection of bars and restaurants but yo need to go into Linton for grocery or pharmacist. Dog friendly with plenty of parking. Beautiful village right next to the sea and river that can be explored for miles through National trust walks. Also has an old cliff railway that allows easy excess to Lynton which is high above Lynmouth.

First class place to have a short break. Lots of walking around the area, good selection of shops, although the majority were closed due to staying in late November. Disappointed the railway wasn't working linking Linton.RayUnited Kingdom

The building has so much character, and my room was perfect after a hike along the coast path - having a bath was the best surprise I could've hoped for! I was able to grab a drink from the bar and sit in on my windowsill looking out at the sea view. The restaurant wasn't open, which was a shame, but the manager very kindly arranged a table for me at their sister hotel, the Rock Inn, which was lovely. Fab location, tasty breakfast, comfy room - all you could ask for.

Sarah and Katherine are fantastic hosts and made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our lovely room (junior suite) was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The food at the Bayview Restaurant was superb. Sarah is a wonderful chef and uses only local, fresh ingredients. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t need to eat anywhere else. And did I mention Katherine makes a mean G & T. We would highly recommend The Bonnicott.

It seems to be patronised by a lot of walkers as well as others who wish to explore Exmoor. It's an interesting old building that provided us with a comfortable room. The extensive car park is across the road (main road but this is Exmoor so it's not that busy). The staff were lovely - efficient, friendly and helpful. Food was good, both in the evening and at breakfast. They were also able to provide packed lunches on request.MalUnited Kingdom

The hotel overlooks the river and you can see straight down through Lynmouth to the sea. Lorna and Steve were the perfect hosts and made us feel so at home and welcome. Having stayed 2 nights we got to enjoy the delicious breakfast offerings twice!! Overall a lovely wholesome place to stay and could not recommend enough. Having the private parking space was an extra bonus, as parking in Lynmouth can be tricky! The apartment had amazing views over the river to the sea, and was really comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful stay, and were really impressed overall. The welcome gift of a cream tea was a really lovely extra touch!
