Very comfortable, homey feel. I liked how we felt transported back in time. The decor fit the inside of the hotel. The signage was good considering the actual rooms were only a little short of a maze. Considering we were given a room right at the end, it wasn't as hard as it seemed to remember the path. The breakfast was amazing with buffet AND choices, and they always let us in minutes before closing. Dinner was fine, the bar also fine. Cute dogs at the bar. The library area was fun to explore - great for spending time in the evening.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the historic atmosphere of the hotel. The location was excellent, right in the middle of the village of Moreton-in-Marsh and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, pubs and supermarkets and also the railway station. The Hotel is old and quaint but with good facilities including a dining room and bar. The bathroom was good with a nice shower (very important). A delicious breakfast was included. The hosts were delightful. The wallpaper in the ladies' bathroom downstairs is fabulous - just saying!

The friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietor and his staff, the fun atmosphere of being in an English pub especially over the holiday weekend when musicians attracted crowds of visitors to the pub all of whom were civilised and friendly. The breakfast was good and delivered with a smile, the amenities in room were superb.

It could almost be thought of as the poor relation of the Cotswolds, but only compared to the more glamorous neighbours, Bourton on the Water and Broadway, but it is a very good centre for touring the area and has easy free parking, good shops and good restaurants.

A Beautiful Traditional English Town.
A Beautiful Traditional English Town. The building and architecture are full of history, the shops in the town are filled with art/antiques, plenty of restaurants, cafes, charity shops, local craft and gifts too, so there’s plenty to explore and do.

Moreton in Marsh was quintessentially English and very aesthetic. Full of pleasant eateries and antique shops. People were polite and said hello as you passed in the street. Extremely close to other places of interest and quaint villages that you could either wander around or make a brisk walk from.

Great little town in the Cotswolds with lots of intersting places to go to surrounding it. The town itself doesn't have a particularly busy high streeet but Stow on the Wold is only a few minutes drive away and has some lovely shops to mooch around. Lots of lovely walks in the area and some great hotels to be based in.

We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch.
We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch. It was raining, so we didn't walk through the Arboretum. There weren't as many shops as I was expecting for the size of the town, but it's not far to Stow-On-The-Wold

This was a great base for exploring the region.
This was a great base for exploring the region. Easy access to the train from London and then from there I could take different buses to explore, hire a guide or if I had a car I could have explored that way.

Great to have new options in the area, wonderfully comfortable, warm and cute room very central in Moreton convenient to the train station, shops and walking routes. Very clean and nicely decorated. A little noise from the street, the restaurant and other guests at times but this is converted traditional Cotswold house on a high street and not a modern insulated clinical Hotel, it's to be expected and not in anyway an inconvenience. Staff were excellent and accommodating with excellent communication.
A wonderful quintessentially old English hotel in a perfect setting close to all of Moreton in Marsh’s facilities and an easy drive to the local area.
Fabulous that it’s old charm has been kept alongside comfortable facilities. Fascinating history and lovely gardens with of course the 300 year old black mulberry tree (which was right outside our room window).
The breakfast was superb with very helpful, attentive staff.
We loved being here and were sad to leave.
Moreton Cottage is a little gem. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, a charming authentic cotswolds cottage located 50 yards from the town centre. Close enough to walk to local restaurants, but nice and quiet as not on the high street. The cottage is well equipped, couldn't think of anything that is not provided for. It's is a great location for exploring other villages in the Cotswolds, has a local train station and plenty of places to park.
Situated right in the centre of Moreton in Marsh, the hotel is small and quite old and a little dated but clean and everything worked. We had a very pleasant stay in one of the ground floor rooms at the back of the hotel. We booked dinner in the restaurant which was very good and we also had breakfast the following morning which was excellent. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again.
Clean comfortable room, hotel standard double bed. Excellent ensuite. Loads of free parking. On site gym, pool for a small additional cost, a bar and canteen. The canteen food is basic but Moreton is a a short drive if you want something better. The staff are friendly and helpful and the site is very peaceful so I slept well . It was very good value for money and I'll definitely be staying there again.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked. Overall, I thought the hotel looked nice online and had good reviews. The Manor House exceeded my expectations. The room was well appointed. The breakfast was excellent. The decor of the hotel was very nice. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
The hotel manager was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The staff are very friendly and work tirelessly to make your stay memorable, one of the best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel, plenty of good quality towels,we will be returning. 👍
Quaint pub and small hotel with garden terrace for drinks. Our twin room #4 was very nicely appointed, comfortable beds, and excellent amenities in the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our one night stay very much.
The staff was very friendly and made sure we had all information and a comfortable stay. The room was perfect, great decoration and much bigger than in most hotels. In-room breakfast was great. Bed was very comfortable.
I thought the food served in the restaurant was very good. The staff were also really friendly and approachable. Easy access to the station from the hotel and the high street had a nice selection of shops.
