Having had stayed previously, the Alona never seems to disappoint. Absolutely great location, especially if you want to chill after a long day one the road (in my case). You can chill in your room, bar, restaurant or go for a nice walk in the park. The location is absolutely gorgeous and gives access to motorway into Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The staff are always very warm and welcoming and always professional. The food in the restaurant is very good too.

My mum was born in Carfin, and we visited relatives there quite frequently - mostly passed on now. My wife and I were on our way to a holiday in the highlands so we decided to break our journey in Motherwell.
I was last there about fifty years ago, so everywhere was very different! Was nice being back...

Staff were doing a job, sometimes reluctantly i found. I know the problem with recruiting staff at the moment and retaining them but really someone should be overseeing their interaction with the public, nevr mind initial training.

It was a one night stop off to break a long journey.
It was a one night stop off to break a long journey. TBH it was about what I expected for the money paid. The plus was the resturaunt the food was suprisingly good & saved having to hunt around for something to eat in an unknown area in a wet night. As a budget stay, pretty good.

Lovely hotel for a stop over, we traveled from Wigan and arrived at hotel late so night porter booked s in, they were expecting us so book in was fast and easy just what you want after a long trip. room was lovely and comfortable only tiny little negative could have had done with more milk for night/morning brew.
A bit outside of Glasgow, almost 20 min drive from city center. But it's a good place to stay if you have a car and want a relaxing night before heading into Glasgow city center. The Carvery offers traditional meat roast and veggies which I must recommend anyone new to UK to try at least once. The breakfast was good and friendly staff helped us to call up a taxi in the early hours of the morning. Rooms were clean, secured and spacious with heater and running hot water.
Hotel is an old style house it does mot have a lift and the location of rooms seemed higgledy piggledy! Large open staircase takes you to first floor but from there a series of small corridors and small staircases take you through a Warren of room locations. Corridors are not very brightly lit so give a slight claustrophobic feel. Room was clean and tidy, had just a small window over the conservatory roof. Ample coffee, tea, milk for one night stay. Bed was comfy.
The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable, however the carpet looked very dirty and the shower and bathtub or rather the bathroom as a whole was not good. The hotel is in front of the pub the bad thing is that the area is not even remote and the only option for food is the pub itself which we didn't even like the food(especially considering the price), The breakfast that I included was extremely and not many of the items available.
The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need. Unexpected little items such as washing up liquid, bubble bath, shower gel etc to name a few were a lovely touch. The towel art swans with the biscuits and chocolates were amazing. Will definitely consider using again when we come to Scotland for our annual family trips. We arrived into Scotland earlier than check in time and was able to gain access early too. Brilliant!
The bed was soooo comfortable. I don't know what they do differently than the hotels, but the bed was 10 times better than the standard hotel beds.
Seemed a bargain at the rate I paid and conveniently close to where I needed to be. Everything was done electronically and I never saw a single employee of the establishment. That can be good or bad depending on your preference.
We were doing a very quick trip to Scotland, literally travelling up one day returning back south the next. It had been a very long day by the time we arrived at the hotel. We were not expecting much but were very pleasantly surprised by how good the hotel was. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast and dining area. Toiletries smelt gorgeous.
· The Hotel is a Great Hotel ( When you actually find it ) Nice Toby Inn with a Good Carvery, Comfy Bed & spacious room at very reasonable rates. Ideally located for M74 but just a shame it is advertised as Toby Carvery, Strathclyde, M74 J6, by Innkeeper's Collection when it is actually located at Toby Carvery, Strathclyde, M74 J5.
we love the Alona hotel have been many times before, great location, value for money, clean and comfortable rooms and lovely friendly staff who helped make my sons birthday breakfast special with a decorated table and presented his birthday cake to him. very much appreciated
Welcoming staff. Just an easy short walk from the railway station. Modern, clean and spacious rooms. Very good bar/restaurant within the hotel serving delicious freshly-cooked meals at good prices. Booking half-board provides even better value.
I was totally impressed with this hotel. The place was very grand with a great bar and restaurant area. The whole hotel is very well presented and the rooms are of a very high standard and staff very polite... Plus great EV Charging point.
Liked everything about our stay where going to wedding in dalziel park hotel was only 10 minutes away in taxi the apartment it's self was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need
We at Jaco Couriers from Aberdeen Scotland use the Bentley hotel on a regular basis. The drivers are all very happy with the staff and the rooms at the Bentley hotel.
