Great location and walking distance to a adventure island and pier. Very friendly and super helpful staff. Super clean, lovely carpet, comfy bed, lovely bed linen, superb bathroom with a shower cabin, toiletries provided, plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk and we have even kitchennette with microwave and fridge. We love our stay here.

we had a midweek Break therefore missing the weekend so we were able to Relax and enjoy the Location without the Crowds so if you want a Break at Southend then go for it and stay at the Park Inn Hotel.

The Pier walk was great and visit to the lifeboat at the end. We also loved 'Beaches' Restaurant and the 'Oyster Kitchen' We loved walking along the coast both ways. Leigh on Sea had some super little independent boutiques; "Ruby's" for one and an amazing boutique called "A Touch Too Wild" where the owner could give Gok Wan a run for his money! Southend is great for walking or there is an open topped bus - we just walked until we found somewhere lovely to stop for a rest; we had "Elevenses at The Oyster Creek Kitchen, then 'put the steps in' browsed the boutiques in Leigh on Sea and then enjoyed great food at an Italian Bistro which served superb food! Our Guest House had its own parking and was convenietly situated beteeen Leigh on Sea and Southend itself. We stated for three nights and feel completely refreshed!

I went just at the start of the Easter break, and it was nice and quiet, I imagine it being a popular summer resort. Good facilities with plenty of eateries. Travelling around Southend was okay, gets busy during rush-hour. Great long walks along the esplanade and the pier. A lot of the shops were closed during close-season.AAnonymous - 4.0Scored 4.0

I lived in Southend for many years, this was a visit to see family and attend a family gathering. The town (I will never call it a city) is a shadow of its former self. I wouldn't go to Southend unless I had a specific reason, it just isn't as welcoming as it used to be and the high street is dead. In the summer, short break with young children who want no more than the beach and this place would be ok. There are some decent restaurants but stay out of the town centre for those.EricaUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Our hostesses were friendly & helpful and you will get a decent breakfast. Comfy beds, too. It's about a 6-min walk to Southend Central station and 12 to Southend Victoria. And if you are at all interested in Anglo-Saxon history, you might want to visit the town museum to see the Prittlewell Prince burial finds.

I really don't think I could have done it myself. Another lady showed us how to use the plastic cards that open the hotel entrance doors for late night entrance after the hotel had closed for the night, with exceptional patience and concern. It is the staff that make any business a success. They succeeded with us.
