Such a beautiful picturesque hotel and setting, quintessentially English. Peaceful setting with gorgeous seating areas inside and out to enjoy.
Loved how clean the hotel was and well maintained. Especially loved the quality of the linen and towels.
Great breakfast served by professional but friendly staff.

I did not visit Wareham itself as I was staying in Corfe Castle which is a beautiful village. I was holidaying with my dog and there were plenty of places that welcome dogs including tea rooms, the Swanage steam railway and some boat tours from Swanage.SusanUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Wareham is such a lovely place!!
Wareham is such a lovely place!! It's full of character and lovely shops, cafe's and pubs. The river runs right through and is a lovely place to go for a bite to eat - We want to go back with our Kayak!! People were all friendly and we will visit again!Standen - 10Scored 10
Plenty of history. From the Saxon walls around the town.
Plenty of history. From the Saxon walls around the town. Lawrence of Arabia's final years. Old churches and the rivers on the North and South of the town. Everyone should do there homework before visiting and if there during the third week of November there is "Court Leet" an historic ceremony held each year. Certainly "you tube" is a great tool to view before making the trip.

The hotel made up a packed lunch for me the night before, which was a welcomed touch. The evening meal that I had in their resturant was really excelent and went down well after a long drive to get there. Highly recomend this Inn for its bedroom with a comfortable bed, ensuite shower room/wc and good selection of tea and coffee. This is actually my second stay at Anglebury House and it was again up to my expectations.Nick 888Jersey

The grounds are lovely and the gardens interesting. Its position backing onto the River Frome adds to its charm. It is a great location for exploring and borders the Arne Nature Reserve. Bournemouth and Poole are in the vicinity and so are many of the lovely Dorset towns and villages. Breakfast was excellent. There is full menu available for the evening.

It is on the main street so parking is a bit of a pain but we managed to find a spot not far and it is free after 6 or 7 pm until 9 or 10am. Breakfast was good and a room was nice. There is also a tiny back garden with sitting. It is very good for a stop over. Everything was fine. Thank you!

Glorious grounds, lots of parking and such a peaceful place. The Restaurant had one of the best menus we had seen and we enjoyed every mouthful and the wine was excellent too. Location is perfect for exploring the area. lulworth and Durdle Door are 10 mins drive away and Wareham for eating and shopping about the same. There’s a farm shop and cafe/restaurant 3 mins walk from the farm which is useful. And the farm dogs are lovely. Thank you.
