Accommodation was in a building with individual rooms; it was okay, but everything was older, not very cozy, but definitely clean and quiet. The breakfast was sufficient. A big bonus is the thermal springs near the accommodation, which are really hot, clean, and nice, right by the sea with the necessary facilities (WC, shower, where you can change).

Our room had an amazing view over the water. Our room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved it how we were pleasantly greeted by the owner who showed us the rooms and then left us to use of the place. It has a well stocked kitchen/dining area for use and a very comfy able sitting room to look out across the water.

An absolutely amazing Apartment. The view from the dining table was just stunning.
It was comfortable, clean and it just felt like a home.
The contact with Guðfinna was just lovely and helpful.
Can't wait to come back. :)
very small quiet fishing village in north Iceland.
very small quiet fishing village in north Iceland. There is a store, and a gas station. There are hot spa pools by the sea. In the summer there is a ferry to a small island less than a km off the coast, where there are puffins.

This small, picturesque settlement is the perfect place to spend a day relaxing in the famous seaside hot tubs. It's really one-of-a-kind and is not too heavily trafficked by tourists. You're likely to make friends with like-minded wanderers and adventurers as you soak away your cares. A decent restaurant and the Sorcery and Witchcraft Museum are in nearby Hólmavík.

We liked the area, the scenery in the western fjords it is stunning but be aware that there are alot of gravel roads and some of them are very rough we had a four wheel drive and just took it easy. It takes you longer than you expect to get to places because of the gravel roads and all the times you have to stop to take photographs.
We had some lovely meals but it is a good idea to plan where you are going to stop, there are not that many restaurants.
This hotel was excellent. The staff was a little discombobulated as it was the dinner rush when we arrived and seemed surprised that we were staying there but not dining with them. Aside from that, it was an excellent stay. They helped us print off our COVID test results for our trip home, the room was exceptionally comfortable and the location was superb. The hot pots are just a few blocks away and if they're not too crowded you can get right in. Breakfast was filling and has a lot of variety.
Our double room with private bathroom was an excellent choice. It had almost everything we needed - it's spacious, very cosy, there's a kind of anteroom where you can hang the jackets, shoes or leave some food which needs lower temperature. Hosts are friendly, the location is quiet but sometimes rainy and very windy.
Usually it was possible to park the car just in front of our room.
Famous hot tubes in Drangsnes are just a short ride away - I really recommend an evening visit.
The location is just incredible; the guesthouse is nestled under a lighthouse just steps from the sea, with a view of a beautiful little island. It's also just about 500 meters from Drangsnes's famous seaside hot tubs, which are a must! The rooms were private and spacious, and had enclosed terraces. Breakfast was delicious, and though we had already eaten dinner when we arrived, it looked like the restaurant was fairly lively, and serving a bit past the advertised time.
The room was clean, and the location in Drangsnes was terrific. The staff in the restaurant were very accommodating when we arrived just before closing with our soft cooler and gel packs, needing refrigeration and freezing. They kept the cooler in their coldest fridge with our food in it, and brought the gel packs to the freezer. The breakfast in the morning was very good and well staffed.
Nice guesthouse in Drangsnes, at the edge of the Westfjords. There are various room options, we had shared bathroom/kitchen - there were 2 bathrooms for 4 rooms, which was more than usual! Good breakfast including decent bread selection, pastries and waffles :) Friendly staff. Nice dinner - had delicious fresh halibut. Great location and public hot tub (crowded!) a short walk away.
Drangsnes is a small beautiful village. We love going there and we always stay in Malarhorn. We had the private entrance room - it is a really good sized room with a small veranda and a small batroom with a shower. Perfect for 2 people. The room was clean and comfortable. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good food and service.
A splendid hotel with soaring ceilings and a charming enclosed terrace, providing a haven to appreciate the breathtaking views even in inclement weather. Nearby, you'll find complimentary thermal baths right by the ocean's edge. Indulge in a superb and delectable breakfast that awaits you each morning.
Loved this place! It was one of the best hotels we stayed in around Iceland, and certainly the biggest room. Even amid a strong storm, the room was very cosy; a lovely place to spend a few days. The food is pretty good, and the location is beautiful.
Beautiful sea views, comfortable room.
Because of the location of the hotel and there were no open restaurants, we took some food and used to microwave downstairs (found it very helpful)
Would stay again :)
The view is absolutely amazing, with a gorgeous look out over the water. It's walking distance from the Drangsnes hot pots, and has parking right outside the room. The breakfast was also lovely.
A pleasant hotel with many rooms. We had a very good room facing to the view and fjord, but we were lucky. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Anyhow recommended.
It is a nice located hotel in Dragsnes.
The rooms are build in typical Iceland hotel-'farm' style.
The rooms are large, the beds are good.
The breakfast is okay, nothing special.
