This is an honest review of the hotel, it was fantastic! The beds were super comfortable we wanted to sleep all day. The staff were possibly the most friendly people we met on the trip and they made us feel like family. The restaurant food was excellent for breakfast. Yoga was a great experience, and shower was large and had excellent pressure with no loss of hot water! Lastly it has an art museum inside and sunrise/sunset from the roof was breathtaking. Couldn't recommend it more!

Pertiwi was a little Gem, just far enough away from the hustle, bustle & noise of Monkey Forest Road, yet close enough to everything. The staff were exceptionally friendly & accommodating. This is a nice little oasis, the grounds were beautifully maintained & gave that tropical resort vibes. Rooms were large, fresh, modern & clean.

Best place to stay, esp for city dwellers who need a break.
Best place to stay, esp for city dwellers who need a break. There are a lot of activities you can do in and from Ubud like ATV rides, Mt Batur trek. Best plan a day to visit the local workshops and market. We especially loved the glass factory, didn't take the tour instead visited their workshop and bought vases for our home. The small workshops that make wooden sculptures are very artistic and they sell at less than half the price of the art galleries in Seminyak. These artisans deserve our patronage the most.

Ubud is a busy place.
Ubud is a busy place. You can take trips from Ubud and take a driver for whole day to access places which are further.
All in all, it is sufficient to spend 3 days in Ubud and move to further places to North or East to explore more there.

We Love Ubud, it’s a much nicer place than other more ‘tourist’ locations.
We enjoyed the eating at “Fuzion Pizza” which is out of the main shopping district and for great vegetarian meals, a little place called “Muda” resturant.

There is so much to do in and around Ubud.
There is so much to do in and around Ubud. I wouldn’t plan on driving but hire a driver. It’s about the same as renting a car and with a good driver he’ll help in many ways, where to go, eat and exchange money.
Plus, I can’t imagine dealing with the traffic, which is crazy.
It seems everyone in Bali uses WhatsApp and I’d recommend downloading it if you don’t already have it.

Ubud was beautiful!
Ubud was beautiful! So many things to see and do, we loved going to the waterfalls and rice terrace. Ubud centre was really busy but we went during the king Cremation. We went to a sliver making class which was amazing! The locals were beautiful, really friendly and not pushy at all!!
The front desk staff are incredibly kind and helpful. During my stay, the entire hotel staff were very attentive and professional, always asking if there was anything we needed assistance with. The hotel provided us a driver for the day, Wira, who gave my wife and I an amazing tour of Ubud. This was the best part of our trip. We learned so much from him about Balinese culture and the history of Ubud while being able to choose the places we wanted to visit. Thank you so much Kastara Resort Team and Wira! We will certainly be coming back
We appreciated the free pickup from the airport and all the free drives that were provided in Ubud.
My family had some great times in the private pool by our villa.
One evening the staff prepared a flower bath in our bathroom and that was a lovely Balinese experience. (Also free of charge)
We could not go out in the evening because our 5 yo had to sleep but the hotel arranged for two masseuses so my husband and I could get a Balinese massage.
We are vegan and the kitchen prepared a lovely and diverse vegan breakfast every morning.
We love this place, very relaxing and healthy food. Beautiful garden, lovely pool and delicious restaurant. A bit outside ubud center but that is good because it is quiter. Just a few steps away from monkey forest, a lot of restaurants around but we took dinner at the hotel, very convenient and good. The food is all bio with many ingredients from their own garden. Mostly vegan but some options with meat. I took massage and my kids enjoyed aerial yoga class.
The best thing was to wake up with coffee and tea on the terace
I loved everything!
It’s my favorite place to stay in Ubud!
Perfect location right next to Yoga Barn
Perfect room I stayed in standard and deluxe, both very comfortable.
Hotel is newly renovated so everything is fresh.
Nice pool area, spa, great massage with Shishka.
Staff is amazing, Lakshmi and a front desk team, housekeeping team you guys are the best!
I will be definitely back!
They are often sold out - so if you are planning a trip better book in advance
Beautiful two-bedroom villa with private pool, has everything you need for a family, amazing view from the terrace, very relaxing place! Kids are so happy here. Komang and Wayan are great host - villa was clean every day. We had a day tour with Komang and he was very attentive. Wayan does the best massage I had in Bali - she definitely got magic hands!
Plenty of great restaurants and eateries within walking distance and central Ubub is easy to get to.
This place is incredible, obviously is always related to the price...what I mean is do not expect to be in a 5 stars but for its caregory ....it's the best. Moved to this hotel from another and we end up to stay almost for a month...Staff help anyway they could, it is well maintain , very clean , big room, comfy bed, nice pool so basically an incredible value for the price.
Stay here if you are looking for a budget hotel !
Great location in Ubud, minutes walking to restaurants, spa and shops. The hotel staff were very attentive to needs and eager to help me enjoy my stay in Ubud. They pointed me to the best vegan / trendy restaurants and helped to arrange activities. Agus even took me to a coffee plantation on his motorbike. Good sized room, forest view, and comfortable bed exceeded my expectations for the price.
The location of this hotel is ideal --walkable rating of 75+ and it is located near some of the best shopping and restaurants in Ubud -- however it is set back from the street a little bit and provides a quiet oasis when the main road is busy. Also the staff...bent over backwards to find ways to fix even the tiniest things...I appreciate the attention to detail and their listening ear!
Amazing hosts and the place is amazing right next to the rice fields and close to all the attractions.
You wont get better service or ambience at 5 star hotels.
The breakfast is amazing.
The pool is lush.
Really enjoyed the outdoor bath carved out of stone.
This place is heavenly and such a good price, so cheap for what you get.
Throughly reccomend and that's rare for me
Best villa for value ever. The villa was so nice we stayed at home instead of doing the tours we planned around Ubud.
Amazing view from the Villa, you look out on the rice terrace and the garden has very pretty plants and flowers. The private pool is really nice as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The bed is good too, we slept like babies.
One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful property, great location close to a Ubud, but in the hills, so very peaceful and quiet. Magnificent breakfast every morning beyond any expectations. The pool was fantastic as well. I also loved the caring and genuine staff who went out of their way to make everything, perfect.
Location was great as it is deep in an alley yet near Yoga Barn and lots of cafes. If you are sound sensitive, staying near the larger pool at the end of the hotel is the best option. TV can connect to Netflix and service is very good and attentive. WiFi is good enough for work. Pool is pretty huge and maintained well.
This property is amazing. Our villa had a private pool with the most incredible view. Plus the included breakfast was just the best, with multiple options and great coffee. We also enjoyed that the hotel was not in the thick of it all, and instead was in a serene spot still close to the Ubud town centre.
The room design is very appealing. Our room included a private pool, which added to the comfort. Breakfast was "ok", nothing too special though. The AC system was quiet and efficient !
There are a few waling options from the hotel towards Ubud town across the rice fields. This is a nice experience.
nice and quite place and close to ubud center
the private pool was amazing
beddings were the cleanest I ever had in Bali and smelled like flowers
breakfast is good too
the hotel provides shuttle service to ubud center for drop offs and pick ups for 70,000 IDR per trip
The place is beautiful. Not too far from Ubud center in car but too far walking. We rented the villa with private pool, beautiful but the pool is not private, there are cameras inside the kitchen villa and pool. BE CAREFUL they are recording you in the private pool.
Everything! From the staff to the facilities everything was just perfect! For people who are afraid of insects I highly recommend staying here… the cleaning is amazing and the staff is always ready to help you;) one of the best hotels in Bali for sure!
This hotel is amazing! We stay in a 2 bedrooms villa with a private pool for 5 nights and We love everything. The room, the hotel, the food, the staff, the pools.. it is also protected from the noise of Ubud!
I stayed in one bedroom villa with private pool. The villa is so amazing, big space, comfort bed, nice private pool, nice view, wonderful hotel staff, all are prefect. I stayed here for 4 wonderful days.
I liked my one bedroom villa with private pool and the open air bathroom. Also a highlight were the monkeys from the nearby monkey forest. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming too.
