Really enjoyed the night markets and stalls along the river. All sorts of food cooked in front of you. Excellent Hallal restaurant around corner from our hotel , clean and well presented food. Trip on long boat to caves and mangroves worth seeing. Watch who you book with on river. Only disappointment was the trip we booked from Krabi to Koh Lak.Do not use Yat Hai Tour vans.! Very dangerous driving, tailgating other cars. Then passed in area of very tight corners. Nearly a head on crash. Friendly place many places to eat. Great night market over weekend and daily food market where you could eat very cheaply. Nice food markets not too many tourists laid back vibe. We visited the mangrove trail and climbed the tower for a nice view and then crossed the river with a long tail boot to see a nice cave and to see a bit more of the riverside and the driver got us back into the town. Our hotel had this name and was ideally located in the center. Very clean and neat and most helpful staff! Beautiful BuddhaTemple, The river side promenade, mangrove forest, boat rides and tours, Food joints and massage parlours, Thai curry and Pizza were very good, Singha and Chanh beers were good too. A trip to Ao Nang was awesome

Also close to the river for tours and trips. This was a very large spacious room which was very clean and quite modern, it had all basic essentials like good air con, a large comfy bed, water, fridge, good hot shower. There is a small restaurant offering cheap food in the hotel as well. There is a convenient local bus to Ao Nang on the next road for 50 baht. Very good value for money.

But for great coffee 5 minutes walk to Tree Room Brew and Bake.

I wouldn't recommend if you have any problems walking because there's no lift. If you're looking for nightlife, this isn't the place for you. Ao Nang would be the place for that which is about 20 mins by car away. We got friendly with the guy who owns Mr Thor bike rental and the living room bar where we hired a scooter and was so helpful with any advice on where to go and things to see

The area is absolutely perfect, quiet and relaxing with the night Market right down the street. The family running this place were the kindest people on my stay in Thailand, if I ever return to Krabi I will only stay here!

In front of the hotel is a small night market. The one 800m up North (in town) is better, cheaper and bigger.

Waan was a excellent host and she helped us arrange airport transfer, massage and a private chef at the house. Ao Nang beach is 10-15 min tuktuk drive away.
