The bed was comfortable & very, very warm. The shower was hot with a good stream. Our train was very late & the hostess waited for us to arrive- we were extremely grateful for that! We could also leave our bags while we looked around the town.

Lovely quiet hotel on the edge of Ollantaytambo. Walking distance from the train station for Machu Picchu. Comfortable bed, decent shower, and a fantastic breakfast. Biker friendly! Incredibly generous host let me leave my motorcycle and bags at the hotel for two days while I visited Machu Picchu. Amazing.

First of all, Marcela (the receptionist/host) is absolutely amazing! She is super knowledgeable and helpful, she gave us many recommendation in the town and gave directions on how to get to the other towns on collectivos for a couple of soles. Thanks to Marcela, we saved a lot of money on transportation in the Sacred Valley. Also, the hotel has stunning views from the terrace/rooftop. Beds are really comfortable, the bathroom is spacious enough for a comfortable stay.

It has an amazing river-front location. We could see the Inca's terraces right through our windows. The location is quiet, yet very close to the main square and the train station to Machu Picchu.
The staff is accommodating and polite. They can help you with the information about the area, or with the tours. They speak good English. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We liked our stay!

The absolute best town to stay for your trip to the Sacred Valley or Machu Picchu! The most beautiful historical centre and with ruins on both sides to ecplore. What an amazing town! Do mot even think about staying in Aguas Calientes, here there is so much character and history with the most beautiful architecture to explore and streers to get lost in. Definitely a must stay over!!

We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley...
We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley visit and were glad we did. It was small enough to walk everywhere, the train station, the square, the archaeological park, the original pre-colonial section of town. We visited in the low season in the last half of February and enjoyed the smaller number of visitors.

We messed up our communication and did not get tickets to Machu Picchu. Do your research and purchase tickets BEFORE you arrive…months in advance for high season. Nevertheless we toured the archeological wonders of the Sacred Valley— Temples of the sun and moon and more. It was very spiritually powerful and architecturally awe inspiring, did not feel like a consolation prize for missing MP…. Just a reason to come back. Do not miss this tour if you are hire… and hire the guide. It’s worth it. Food was great here too.

We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights.
We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights. And would've preferred to stay another night instead of returning to Cusco. The restaurants are plenty and good, the people are so nice, and the coffee shops are nice. Hiking all around, and the ruins and market are enjoyable.
Both walking everywhere is good and getting a taxi is also easy.
This is a small hotel within walking distance from the town square. It's simple but still charming, clean and quiet. We decided to stay in Ollantaytambo ("Ollanta") instead of Machu Picchu Pueblo (ex Aguas Calientes) which turned out to be a good choice. Ollanta is a nice little village with their own inca-heritage. The train station is easy accessable for the morning train to Machu. The staff (mother and daughter?) in the hotel is helpful and friendly. Would we stay there again? Yes, probably.
Fantastic hotel with beautiful and comfortable rooms. The facilities are great and there is plenty of opportunity to stay in the patio and work or relax. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel is literally located next to the train station and it’s about 10 minutes to the city center. Trains passing by at night were no problem for us. The staff were also very forthcoming when it came to storing our luggage and even letting us use the patio and eating area past check-out.
I loved the location, being in the very heart of Ollantaytambo. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast was AMAZING. Also, waking up to the view of the archeological site was priceless. Lastly, all the recommendations were very wall thought out and I was impressed about the Internet speed, was able to work without issues (yes including Netflix).
This was definitely higher then a “hostel”, I consider this a nice boutique hotel. You won’t regret it.
The hotel was in the quiet San Isdro part of Ollantaytambo, 5-10 mins walk from the main area. Josie who ran the b&b was very friendly and her English was great. Our twin room was a little rustic but clean, with comfy beds and had the best hot shower we'd had so far in Peru. Breakfast was simple but tasty and you could spend a few sol more for an omelette. The lounge area also had hot water for tea available throughout the day.
Intitambo hotel was the perfect place to stay in Ollantaytambo! I had just finished my Inca trail so I was looking for some where comfortable and welcoming. Though I didn’t interact with the other guests much, the employees and owners of the hotel were so friendly! They helped me organize transportation and recommendations in the area. I would highly recommend staying at this family run hotel, it felt like being at home!
Staff is polite and helpful. Hotel is 10 in walk from bus station and is right at railway station which is very convenient if you go to Machu Picchu. Nearby there’re many cafes and farm with animals for free to walk. Hotel has Very nice green territory and it’s pleasant to rest at patio’s chairs. Room is clean and looks exactly like on pictures. Free water, bathrobe, hair dryer make living comfortable.
Great location, just one block from the main plaza, 1 block from the Inca archaeological site, and 4 blocks from the train station. Hosts were really nice and attentive, helped us putting together a tailor made tour to the sacred valley with a private driver. The room is small but enough, the bathroom is outdated but with hot water and really clean.
Tunupa Lodge hotel is very nicely located In Ollantaytambo with a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the town square, The grounds are lush and serene with a beautiful view of the Ollantaytambo ruins and the Andes Mountains. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff goes out of the way to make our stay comfortable.
We loved staying in this small guest house in the ancient Inca village of Ollantaytambo . The hotel is fully modernized, very comfortable and clean, and the hosts are charming and very, very helpful. Breakfast is served on a rooftop dining room with beautiful views of the mountains and ruins. This is a great place to stay
Big room. Clean. Beautiful garden in back of house. Walking distance to everything as Ollantaytambo is small.
Would absolutely recommend staying here. We had a good night's sleep and the showers were warm. Cute, but shy dogs on premises.
Better than pictures on Booking show and that doesn't happen often!
Ollantaytambo is a very small town but very pretty. It’s an Inca’s town with real Inca’s buildings. Hotel is very close to ollantaytambo ruins and main plaza. It’s not close to the train station you can take a moto taxi that can pick you up from hotel to train station for only 5 soles 1.20 dollars.
For sure the best place to stay in when exploring the Sacred Valley, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Ollantaytambo ! Amazing scenery, super friendly staff, very well located, breathtaking landscape, huge value for money! Couldn't be happier for finding this hidden gem!
It is a charming hotel with a great location - easy to walk to the main plaza and restaurants and the train station. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very accommodating about serving breakfast to us very early when we left for Machu Picchu.
From the sunrise Mountain View to the magical starlit sky at night, this beautiful hotel was everything we could have dreamed of for the perfect night in Ollantaytambo 💜 definitely our first choice in the sacred valley if we were to visit again!
Excellent hotel with high standards and lots of space and greenery. We love its quiet location in the valley, being surrounded by mountains and river. That said, it’s a 20-minute drive from Ollantaytambo so you definitely need a car to stay here.
Small, family-run hotel that’s right in the center of Ollantaytambo with clean rooms at a good value. There are small space heaters in the room which help with the cold.
Great location and stunning views on Ollantaytambo’s archeological site.
The hotel manager and staff were nice and welcoming, and also kept our luggage after we left.
Great location to visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo and very close to the train station to Machu Picchu. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple and good.
