A lovely island for a honeymoon, the choice of resorts is amazing. The town itself not so sure about, a bit tacky party place from what we could see. The plastic pollution is really visible in some parts of the beach though.

Phu Quoc is not quite as well know as some of the other places to visit in Vietnam but please put in on your destinations. Its the perfect place to end with resorts, theme parks, water parks and a growing tourist destination. It was the perfect end to our 21 days in Vietnam. We will go back just to experience the snorkelling, beach side bars and the parts of the Island we didn't get time to visit. Highly recommend!Steph CAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

The island is well connected with regards to transport, all be it needs some improvement on minor roads. A fair amount of things to do from Grand Word in the north and Sunset Town in the south with the cable car. It can be quite expensive to eat out and visit the attractions. The people are super friendly and accommodating.

If you like a beach holiday with plenty of sunshine then go for it BUT, beware of the rubbish problem on the beach and in town. Taxi service is good and always use local contacts not via hotel reception. Our hotel had a free shuttle service to and from the airport. There are quite a few trips you can take but we didnt have time in our schedule. We did walk into the town and as usual was amazed at what the Vietnamese can transport on a moped/bike. It is warm with high humidity and we had almost 3 showers a day. Phu Quoc is not as busy or congested compared to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh and was actually a welcome break from the chaotic madness of the above. Brilliant island which offers you a calm and pleasant experience. Enough attractions for kids and couples looking for some private time. Connectivity to the city is very simple via local transport which is free and is available 24/7. Just ask at the reception of the report or hotel and you will find all the details. Food is nice if you are an explorer and local restaurants offer great variety and taste.AbhishekIndia

No really pleasant welcoming, no welcome drinks, no asking and no explanation what we can discover here. No smiling and they were so rude to us. As a 5 star resort it was really like 2 star. Big tv with several english new and movie channels that came in clear. Nice pool. It is a 4 minute ez walk inland from main coast road. Not a hinderess. Opposite, property and room was peaceful. First hotel room with actual black out curtains. Breakfast was good , real coffee not nescafa. Been in so many rooms in Asia that despointed. NOT the Hill Resort. Best mid budget room I have had in two months.

Like on my previous visit, the resort is really awesome: calm, serene, buried in verdure and blossoming bushes. Located in quite secluded and quite place, however is close to Long Beach as well as the main road with plenty of cafes and bars. The staff here is extremely caring and hospitable! I’ve never felt so welcome as here in any hotel or resort. The villa was clean, spacious enough, with beautiful outside bathroom.
