Excellent owners / staff who provided exceptional customer service.
Set on the northern coast of Galicia, close to the beach and the banks of the Ribadeo Estuary, the Santa Cruz is a value-for-money option in a lovely, tranquil location.

We travel by motorcycle so need secure parking at night and here the parking was excellent, the bikes stayed behind the building under cover.
The man who checked us in was very friendly and informative, giving us a map of local restaurants and the town.
The room was superb, the quietest we have ever stayed in Spain. Very clean and smart, was like a little apartment with separate living room and small kitchen.
Would night recommend this hotel. It is very cheap for what you get.

Pues la verdad q estaba todo muy bien para repetir

Ribadeo is a small seaside town. Very quiet this time of the year. Easy to walk around but the town itself could be difficult for wheelchair users or people with visual or walking difficulties. Several of the footpaths are quite narrow and the kerbs are up to 30cm in height in some places. However outside the town centre, walkers should not experience any difficulties.
People are friendly and helpful. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and found I could manage Gallego, the local dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. This is just as well as very few people can speak more than a few words of English. I noticed that most of the reviews were from Spanish people.
You can take a local bus or walk on a boardwalk about an hour east to Praia Catedrais (Cathedral Beach), where there are spectacular rock formations where the sea has eroded the coastline. Some parts are inaccessible at high tide and there are clear signs warning that you will be fined at least €6,000 if they have to rescue you!
This time of the year, Ribadeo would be an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday.

The bedding ( pillows) could be better.
All restaurants on site were offering only drinks and because of Sunday all the kitchens were closed

The friendliness of the population has to be experienced to believe it. Not a huge town but plenty happening there. Shops and bars abound and a short walk/drive down to the sea front with restaurants to enjoy the array of fish dishes.

My first visit to Northern Spain...
My first visit to Northern Spain... Galicia, and what an absolute gem. I shouldn't really write a review as is it's not full of tourists and I like it that way!!
Amazing, rugged coastline with fantastic walkways, great for walkers but also caravanners are well catered for there... it's a touring sort of place.
Was hard to find breakfast (?) and no lunch before 1pm, nor dinner before 9pm, so plan well!!
Loved it and popped in to some charming nearby towns, no names, find your own unique way....enjoy!
Hired a car from the airport, was very cheap :)

Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities.
Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities. It has an estuary with Sea port and leisure port with waterside walks. Perhaps the main attraction is its proximity to the magnificent 'Playa des Cathedrals' a magnificent beach with numerous rock arches formed by the sea.
An excellent hotel in the middle of the city. The room is designed with a great feeling, somber and elegant. the bed and the pillows was fantastic which is difficult to find in Spain to be honest. The fabric in the sheets and towels was super Ozom. One of the best hotels we have stayed in Southern Europe from a room & bed perspective point of view. Also excellent breakfast with a fantastic quality and width of choices. And the last point is that the staff was extremely nice and service minded. A very strong recommendation. Stay here!
Stopped at Hotel Rolle for one night on our Camino del Norte and experienced superior customer service from the lovely Mr. Rolle at check in and from his son at breakfast. We were able to check in early to our spotlessly clean room which had a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was included and was tasty and filling, preparing us for our long hike the next day. It was one of our best stops on the Camino!
This was a really exceptional hotel. Not only is it very well located - right on the Camino Del Norte, but you are mere steps from the waterfront and only a few minutes walk to the center of town.
The couple that own it are so friendly and helpful that it really made the stay a delight. Also, the breakfast can’t be beat! Delicious!
I highly recommend it.
Very comfortable and well equipped. Sturdily built and cosy despite the wet and windy late-October weather. Can see it would make an ideal overnight stop if driving by car - especially in summer when swimming pool is open. However, we were on foot and public transport so we felt quite isolated as nearest supermarket was in Ribadeo town, 7 miles away.
It was a like a hotel and more. There were all kinds of toiletries, medicine. Plus some basic food and snacks. Even bath robes and slippers. The hosts thought of everything. I have never stayed in a place where there was obvious thought and care about the well being of the guest.
Beautiful new hostel at the charming street of Ribadeo! So nicely designed to have plenty of space to rest inside and in the garden. Great beds and shower! Special gratitude to an amazing host Angel for all the kindness and friendliness of receiving!.. Wish to be back again!
Very nice room in small hotel in centre of small town in little known part of Spain. Very helpful and friendly owner, who brought forward breakfast for me, so I could catch my bus. Clean, comfortable, good wifi.
Right in the main plaza. Ribadeo it's a beautiful town, so it's nice to have it all right outside the door. The beds have their own light, outlets and curtains. Which is nice to find in the camino.
The innkeepers are great! Did everything to make our stay pleasant. The property is in a great location, and it is exceptionally clean. We’ll stay there again, when we return to explore Ribadeo.
We had a great time, Beautiful house with a lot of charm, very clean, spacious, comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, good breakfast buffet, well located, parking near the hotel
Wonderful location and staff. The breakfast was one of my best in Spain in 6 weeks of travel. Home made. Very welcoming staff.
Great recommendation for lunch near by.
Great location off the Camino with some basic breakfast. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. Hotel is quiet at night. The cafe below serves good wine!
The hotel is situated in the middle of the town, perfect for bar hopping! The hosts were very accommodating and kept our touring bikes in a safe place.
