The Melia Costa del Sol is a beautiful hotel in a perfect spot for Torremolinos' gay district and beaches. We had Level access which made our stay very special. The concierge team on the Level are amazing and the all day access to food and drinks is worth the additional cost. Rooftop pool is small but very nicely done and the team create a chilled out vibe.

breakfast was not so good as our last stay. but acceptable.
We have been many times. There are regular flights to Malaga and Torremolinos is just a 10 minute Taxi journey.
We usually travel outside of the school holidays so it is never too busy. The weather is what you'd expect for southern Spain. There are plenty of sun loungers to rent on the beaches at 6 to 7 Euros per day. Plenty of Cafes and Bars that serve food too.
The sand is a bit gritty and access to the sea is tricky in some places due to the stones and shelf that drops quickly into the sea.
If you're self catering the Mercado supermarket should meet your requirements.

Loved Torremolinos. So much to do. Too much choice.
Loved Torremolinos. So much to do. Too much choice. I recommend El Dorado for tapas and a view of the beach. Chiringito "El Velero" on Bajondillo beach is fab for paella and cocktails, great location. Clock Tower in the town centre is fab for cocktails and great music; loved it up there. Found a great Indian restaurant too; Taj Tandoori which is just around the corner from the Clock Tower. Torremolinos has great access to Malaga and beyond. Trains are super easy to navigate and cheap too.

Plenty to do and see.
Plenty to do and see. A lovely long walk is a must along the beachline. Plenty of choice of bars, restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours. There is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant (It's Vietnam) on the front at La Carihuela - can recommend highly. Want something cheap to eat and drink? - try MG Jamon.

I liked the castle in town, nice beaches, a lot of restaurants, old town, shops, everything close & not too large. Very good place to relax. Close to the airport, so quite easy to get there & to travel around to go to Málaga, Benalmadena & other cities.
The only drawback was that it is quite windy but in summer that is probably a big plus.

It a busy Place and great people their too most speak English well so no need for translator. Get opening times too only eat out on the last night as I like to do my own breakfast/ lunch, dinner, you can get around easy by foot and plenty to see the shops our great.
Exelent location in the centre of Torremolinos and close to train station which made our trip from airport very easy and cheep. There's lots of restaurants and shops nearby and beautiful beach within walking distance. Two separate bathrooms were so handy with family needs. Bedrooms were spacious with very comfy beds. AIR con quiet and efficient, great big balcony with side Seaview on one side and mountains on the other. Full access to swimming pools. Kitchen was fully equipped with dishwasher and even wash machine.
The staff are very nice and friendly.
The location is excelent in front of the Beach. Unfortunately the sea water was cold this time, around 16-17°C and difficult to swim, that's why we stayed one day to the swimming pool only and other 3 days we traveled in south of Spain, from Valencia to Gibraltar.
The food was good and diversified. I have had half board and you can choose between lunch and dinner any time.
Nice to visit all south cities, Malaga, Marbella, etc.
Gibraltar didn't impressed me much!
We like the location as we chose to be in the centre of Torremolinos. Its a nice small hotel.
We had a room with no balcony but it was fine because we spent time on the roof top by the pool where we always got beds. It may get a bit crowded if it was busy though.
The room was comfortable enough.
The gym was small but had adequate equipment to do a free weight work out.
You are allowed to use the ritual hotel which is a 5-10 min walk away.
Lovely staff, fantastic pool area with at this time of year big comfy beds without towels draped on them at the crack of dawn ,great decorv with nice rooftop bar .,,Bar prices cheap 6.20 for pint and half 10 minute walk from station and close enough to sea front .rooms really nice too.Request of double bed was done for us but most rooms on quiet side of hotel ,poolside, have single beds I am told ,nice powerful shower in room too
The location is fantastic - on a long flat promenade straight across from the beach. The food was gorgeous and plentiful. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. There was various activities through the day with entertainment every evening. Plenty of sunbeds around the 3 pools plus the kiddies pool and loads of seating for drinks, lunch, dinner etc. It would be hard to fault this Hotel.
Excellent location - just 50 steps from the beach. If you come with suitcases from the train station, use the elevator (50 cents per person) !!! Much easier than the long stairs. Very clean. Super polite hosts. There is free shower inside the hotel in case you have late night departure and room need to be vacated in the morning. So there is one extra day beaching...
We stayed in this hotel half board out of season last November and this July and both times the hotel had the same standards. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, excellent breakfast and daily changed dinner options. Daily entertainments.15 minutes from Malaga airport and good location for walking access to both Torremolinos and Ben-almadina town centres
Location is good. I spent my last 2 days there out of 5 so did not even go down to the beach. Stayed the last 2 days in the hotel. Good location, close to the bars and restaurants. I do not know how to get to the beach. Heard about a deposit for a key for an elevator but did not want to deal with it.
Pools were very good. Friendly staff.
I stayed at this hotel in 2019 (pre-pandemic) on my last visit to Torremolinos and really enjoyed it. It’s perfectly situated for all the bars, restaurants etc in the centre of the town and just 2 minutes walk from the lift down to the beach. On that trip I had a room with a fabulous sea view. From memory the food was very good too.
Very close to the metro and the metro station is only 4 stations away from the airport. Very quick and cheap to go between the airport and the hotell. Lobby, stairs and lift - no complaints. Pools and bars were very nice. Others have said that staff is arrogant, which I don't agree with - I think they were nice.
The hotel staff is amazing, they are very nice and helpful and they are really trying their best to make your stay remarkable. On this occasion I would like to express my deep appreciation to Raul for all his efforts.
If we visit Spain again, we will for sure return to this hotel.
For the price, the hotel meets all my expectations. The location of the hotel was fabulous with many amenities available nearby. The centre of the village is only a short walk from the hotel and at night it is a very nice walk to all the barsa nd restaurants.
For the price the property was good , we didn’t expect much just clean rooms and beds to stay in for a few days . The hotel is right in the centre with lots of bars , stores etc all around it
It's on the beach, shops and restaurants on walking distance, easy connection on metro with Malaga, good food, enough choices for everyone, very polite staff...
