The location is exceptional, very relaxing with nice walks. Great location for the thousand islands tours. The hotel is still under renovations so it would be unfair to rate the overall standards. The catering was a little underwhelming but the friendliness of the staff made up for it. Staffing is still hard to get. Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to trying it again .

Very much felt like "we got what we paid for", and I don't mean that in a derogatory way. We just needed a clean, safe place to sleep (with a king bed!!!) as we were out and about for most of the time we were in Gananoque...and we got that! Staff were very pleasant and apologetic that they were in the midst of renovations, thought those bothered us not at all. Parking was right out front of our unit. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
Located in Gananoque, 27 km from Fort Henry, The Woodview Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.
Calm, family friendly village.
No too many restaurants, two bars available at night, at least this is what we found. We had very nice sunny cool weather in May. Consider sunscreen for sunny days. Watch out from mosquitos at sunset and early evening.
Things to do:
- Visit the 1000 islands tower
- Boat trip to see the islands
- Kids to smin at the "beach", tiny sand beach

Gananoque is always so lovely!
Gananoque is always so lovely! It was a little sleepy with not much going on in April (compared to summer). Love Joel Stone park. Fun to check out the flea market, and boutiques. There is a great forested area near the marina we walked in, but no official trails. I wish City cruises took the opportunity to run cruises the weekend we were there (only ran a cruise in eclipse Monday, and following weekend even though a lot of visitors in town this weekend for eclipse). Great indian restaurant (1000 curries) on King street, and enjoyed great sunset views from Muskie Jack Pub.

Wonderful little town.
Wonderful little town. People are friendly and the place is clean. They take great care of their corner of the world. Beautiful facilities and parks. Small downtown had plenty of shops & restaurants, Sidewalks were clear and well kept. We had a great time and will return in the summer when the season is really humming.

The breakfast was inadequate.
The breakfast was inadequate. There were NO cereals and NO fruit. Breakfast came ALL ON ONE PLATE-including the toast! Coffee came IN A MUG!. Tea was hot water in a pot with a teabag sitting on top! I had brought porridge (oatmeal) with me but I wasn't allowed to get it cooked for me, or put it myself into a microwave.

Lovely little town to explore for couple of days.
Lovely little town to explore for couple of days. Scenic location and great walks. Boat trips couple of minutes walk away. Interesting free museum to visit. We were there in mid Sept and place was very much winding down . Limited choice of boat trips , boat museum closed and many cafes/shops closed.

First and foremost, the natural beauty of Gananoque is...
First and foremost, the natural beauty of Gananoque is simply breathtaking. Nestled amidst the stunning Thousand Islands region, the charm of Gananoque extends beyond its natural wonders. The town itself is a delightful blend of historic architecture, quaint shops, and friendly locals. One of the standout experiences in Gananoque is, of course, the boat tour through the Thousand Islands. Cruising through these emerald waters while learning about the history and folklore of the area is an unforgettable adventure. In conclusion, my visit left me with cherished memories.
Robin at the front desk was wonderful, she took care of us and remembered our plans for the day. She also served is at the restaurant in the hotel. The building and grounds are gorgeous, very clean and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was phenomenal. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the brewery, the Main Street and the playhouse easily from the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would love to come again :)
We will have lovely memories of spending our anniversary here ❤️
The pool is great. I loved being just across the walkway from the pool so the kids had easy access. There are chairs right outside the room so you can sit outside and relax. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were cute. There were lots of supper options within walking distance and the Tim Hortons and McDonald’s were walking distance for morning coffees. The hotel can’t offer continental breakfast cause of Covid so they’ve made up grab and go bags of breakfast snacks for the morning which I really appreciate.
Great location, walking distance to downtown. Well maintained place. Pool was great. Sauna was a little disappointing, as it was not working properly. Room was clean. Bed was OK, typical hotel mattress. Overall a pleasant experience. Comfort inn will certainly be at the top of my list for my next trip to gananoque.
Fantastic location, thoroughly enjoyed walking around Gananoque, beautiful old homes to admire, park paths, lots of little cafes....lovely well kept up main street, good restaurants. Our room (Tara) at the Manor was super comfortable, visually very unusual and interesting - had everything you might need.
Breakfasts were excellent and tailored to your likes / dislikes.
Location is very good - short walk to waterfront and restaurants.
The hosts are well informed on the town and area in general and offered good advice.
The hosts are very accommodating - could not have done more to make you feel welcome.
The rooms have big windows let's in a lot of light and the tv were Roku so I didn't even need my fire stick which I brought to watch tv.
The beds were comfortable, not too soft which I have noticed is often the way they go in hotels.
The coffee machine in the lobby was great so many options
The location was excellent. Everything is basically within walking distance. Room was modern, very clean and well kept. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations on local spots to visit. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Won’t be disappointed.
pool was nice, shallow end is 3 feet so was perfect for my little guy. staff were friendly, our room was clean. showers were hot and strong. located a short drive from all the 1000 islands sites and close enough to all of the restaurants Gananoque has to offer.
We had a fantastic stay at Turtle Island B&B. The room was charming, as well as the whole house, Ted was very welcoming and the perfect host who gave us a lot of good tips both for the beautiful town of Gananoque and Montreal. And the breakfast was divine!
The property itself is nice, surrounded by beautiful lakeside walks and it is a quick drive to the charming centre of Gananoque. The rooms are clean and well cared for. Staff are polite and to the point. The showers and bath supplies are excellent.
Breakfast was delayed by a power failure but was very good once it arrived. The hotel is comfortably furnished and close to major points of interest in Gananoque.......also convenient to the Montreal-Toronto highway.
Very nice, large property. Different room types around the hotel and ones looking over the pool and courtyard are really nice. Clean and fresh decor. Mostly well maintained. Very nice and helpful front desk staff.
I didnt even stay, I ended up going to another hotel. The room was absolutely damp and smelled. I got there late and didnt feel like having a discussion with the front desk so I just went somewhere else
Have stayed here often and will continue to stay here for every other trip in the area in the future! Always well received by Jenny with no surprises! Older style but always well maintained and clean!
This is a beautiful inn, set in lovely grounds, minutes from downtown Gananoque. The innkeepers and staff were gracious and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the back patio.
great location. Peter and Colin were great hosts with lots of useful tips. Breakfast was wonderful! Would definitely stay there again, the next time we’re in Gananoque
Terrible Bfast. Seemed like you had inexperienced cook on staff.
I must admit that it had to be the worst Bfast we have ever experience at a hotel.
