Salmon Arm is a good stop between Revelstoke and Vancouver.
Salmon Arm is a good stop between Revelstoke and Vancouver. The Hilltop Inn is a decent property located on a hill on its own. We had dinner at Mr Mike's Steakhouse which serves good food. You can hike, bike, boat and fish in Salmon Arm. Great natural settings.

it was heavy smoke from the fires, so I am not sure if I can answer. we had to go back home to Vancouver as soon as possible. My lesson from it: better to visit Salmon Arm late June-beginning of July, in order to avoid fires.

Room was spotlessly clean.
Room was spotlessly clean. Very big room with two queen beds. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was spotlessly clean. When looking for somewhere to eat the lady on the reception was really helpful and called a couple of restaurants for me to speak to.

This is a lovely town right on the lake with lots of nature and cute downtown shops to explore. There are activities for families like go-karting and mini golf. There aren't many restaurant chains if you're looking for something familiar except Boston Pizza. There seem to be a lot of local cafes and restaurants that I wish we had time to explore. The walkways near the wharf are lovely although we didn't have time this trip to go there. There's lots of opportunity for boating, and golfing.
Downtown we really enjoyed the pet store Critters, some gift shops, including The Heavenly Outhouse (!), a large game store Sanctuary Games, and a music store, Acorn Music.
Awful service and food at Wendy's. PJs has ok breakfast but slow service, and flavorless coffee. We left our reservation at Travelodge yuck, and went to the Fairfield Marriott for about $10 more. So much nicer and cleaner. Great continental breakfast buffet included.

Salmon Arm has many music events including the Roots and Blues Festival, Celebrate Shuswap dances, and Jazz music bi-monthly. The hotel is located just off the #1 Highway beside the Waterslides, Starbucks, Mr. MIKES, a Casino, and Crown and Anchor Restaurant and Bar. Lots to see and do in Salmon Arm! Hotel pool and hot tub are being renovated at this time.

Reserved online with credit card. Said no deposit required.
Reserved online with credit card. Said no deposit required. Then when I paid with debit they charged me a deposit eventhough my card was on file. And then failed to return my deposit to my debit, after 30 minutes or so and 3 employees later they managed to refund my deposit to my credit card, and told me it was a problem with my debit card! They even tried to get me to leave and they would take care of it later!! They had no problem taking my money.. will never stay here or recommend this place. Was told when checking in that breakfast is at 730. When I showed up for breakfast at 740 there was only a basket of apples and some cheap yogurt. The only good thing about this place was it was not overly expensive, But still could have been cheaper. Place is in dire need of renovations and general upkeep seems minimal on staffs part..
Awful, filthy, dangerous, gross! First room he gave me already had a guest staying there. Second room, no towels, grime and filth, dirty sheets with fresh blood, garbage, broken window. We should have know when we arrived and their was spit on the entrance door of the hotel, had to use a grimey phone to rouse the guy in the room behind the desk at 6pm to check in. I can not articulate just how awful this was. Read the other reviews, and book elsewhere!!!
Stay at room 116 for one night while driving from Banff back to Vancouver. The room is spacious, fairly standard and generally clean. The complementary breakfast is your usual stuff, highlight being the waffle machine. The hotel has a pool and hot tub although we didn't use them. There is a Vietnamese Pho place right next to the hotel, and a Walmart close by.
The hotel was conveniently located on the TransCanada with good restaurants and the wharf close by. Staff were pleasant and helpful and our room was spacious and very clean. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge were neatly placed in a cupboard. We chuckled at ourselves as we had to look for it!
The view was worth a million dollars! The lady that was working the front desk when we arrived was such a pleasure and the room was very clean. The continental breakfast was also amazing for the price ;) Thanks Comfort Inn!! So nice to have all of this for the price we payed!
Pool was great and outside area in general really clean and well taken care of.. Slept very comfortably and the air conditioner in the room was very quiet unlike some other hotels when you jump in your sleep when it starts. nothing bad to say at all.
The breakfast was DIVINE!! Emily is a complete gem and we will be telling everyone to visit her when travelling through Salmon Arm. She went above and beyond to ensure we were safe and comfortable and had great suggestions for things to do and see.
Sorry have mixed up answers. Nowhere did I see ‘motel’ in description of ‘Best Western Hotels and Resorts’. Dust on under shelf was thick. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was well cared for and much enjoyed.
Great hotel. We booked it because our boys love waterslides. They had a great time. A little disappointed that the hot tub was not working but at least the waterslide was working. Breakfast was good.
I have to say, this was the nicest hotel I have stayed at. Very clean. The girl (sorry I didn't get her name) was very curtious,
she new her stuff. and she made sure I was happy with my room.
Classic "feel and culture" of the BC Interior as I remember it from many past vacations. Hotel quite new inside and extremely clean. Staff NOT overbearing or a nuisance........this I like.
The view is excellent. The room was very comfortable. The restaurants provided good service, nice menus and great view from patios. The hotel staff were very accommodating to our needs.
