This stay was purely for transfer to the airport the next day, so just needed a bed for the night and a taxi to the airport the following day
However I have stayed in Kalamata many times before, and it is a wonderful city for a short break, with a great choice of lively cafes and eateries on the seafront.
The traffic is lighter along the seafront than in most Greek cities; Kalamata feels safe to walk around at night and in the daytime there are some interesting historic areas and museums to visit.

Kalamata is a fantastic place but it does take a while to become familiar with it. We've been on many occasions and we prefer to take the bus in (from Stoupa) because we find driving in Kalamata quite stressful. This is not because of the Greek drivers who are very courteous but more because we are not too familiar with the roads.
Our favourite place to visit is the market, which is on Saturdays and Wednesdays and it is fantastic. The quality, selection and price (and especially the price) are fantastic. The bus station is just across the road from the market so not far to walk.

Kalamata is a great small city in the Peloponnes, which caters for every interest. It has a some historical places, a beautiful old town with tradtional shops, an amazing coast with beaches, super clean water, very good and afordable restaurants and bars and a great ambiance. A city which you can explore easily by foot.
Further it can be used as a base for some of the most interesting places to visit in the Peloponnes like Mani, Mystras, Koroni, ancient Messene, the Apollon Temple and a lot more.

What an absolutely amazing growing metropolis!
What an absolutely amazing growing metropolis! Safe, secure, welcoming, fashion oriented, health conscious residents and simply a pleasure being around.
Simply attending a town square on any given night will be demonstration enough to illustrate the hospitable welcoming people of Kalamata with children of all ages playing with each-other, (no phones included, LOL), laughing, talking as kids should!
Everyone is not only healthy, but fit. It was astonishing that we struggled with my wife to find any unfit person in hundreds of people, especially the kids in town!
Bravo Kalamata... you are doing things right!
The hotels is located 15minutes by car from the city center in a very beautiful mountain, in front of the beach. It has a private beach with 1 dozen sunbeds and huge amount of tables in front of the sea.
The Hotel has a large free parking and the room have a medium size (should be fine for a couple or a couple+kid). The breakfast is good, with many options of breads and international food.
I believe that having the possibility to access the swimming pool and the private beach are the really god and I really recommend the hotel
The property was absolutely Fabulous. we were met by Effie and George who were amazing. the whole feel and experience of the hotel was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was a real treat. Traditional food from Greece/Kalamata served individually to your table. A feast fit for a king.
we highly recommend this Location was perfect, in the Centre of the town and close to all shops and tavernas.
thank you for an amazing stay 😁
The location is very good in walking distance to the beach. Many shops around where you can find anything you need. Furthermore, the neighborhood is new and the pavement has access for wheel chair or baby trolley. Quite rare to find in Greece so this was an extra bonus for us since we went there with our baby. The mattress was excellent as well.
The hotel is very well located, between Kalamata down town and the most renewed beaches in the area.
The room was silent and always well cleaned.
The hotel provides well organised services, like laundry.
The staff is very supportive and attentive to the client’needs.
In particular, I have to thank Niki for her precious support.
Everything was great! Christina is very kind person and she did great job with the place design and the entire facility. Very comfortable flat. Nice quiet area with wide view on the stadium cross the street! Very nice beach 300mtr/5min walking. Coffee on the beach with friendly & kind-full employees ready to help you.
Hotel is unpretentious but well-located on the Kalamata seafront. Staff kind and friendly. PC, printer and paper available for printing the new forms required in the COVID era of travel. Staff speak very good English, breakfast was of a good standard. Street parking was not an issue, but we were off-season.
Comfy boutique is a fantastic hotel in Kalamata - great location, both beach and city center within walkable distance. Everyone working at the hotel was super nice and helpful. They helped us arrange laundry, renting a car etc. The roof top pool was really nice as well. We are coming back for sure. Thanks!
Meals were delicious, with many choices. Dinner was a good value. The view from the restaurant was suberb! Beds were very comfortable. There was lots of closet space.
We had a tour both fun and fascinating..pickup at the hotel was easy and coordinated with desk reception.
New, well thought out and ample size rooms with very comfortable beds.
Next to main square lots of restaurants and cafes. No breakfast facilities but there is a bakery attached to the property for coffee and croissants etc.
Great choice for a Kalamata stay.
We booked 2 rooms. We didn't stay at the hotel after discovering what appeared to be dead bed bugs on the sheets of room #2. We arrived at around 4pm and left at around 7pm. I booked the hotel because I have stayed there in the past and liked it.
I liked everything that the hotel offers- the amenities, the responsiveness of Petros Iliopoulos and his assistance at every moment, the location and cleanliness. I would gladly choose Kalamata Mediterranean Suites & Villas again with both hands!
10/10 all the way across. Great location in the center of Kalamata. Wifi amazing. Most comfortable bed we have found in Greece. Immaculately clean. Great service from the owner and also cafe staff down below(central cafe).
Love the stay, clean, bright and good room. Nice location, easy to park and use a car, to explore this part of Greece. The host was so nice, and helpful. Recommended us, great places to eat and it was easy to accommodate.
Clean and tidy place. With a private beach adjacent to the hotel. A room with a sea view. You can see amazing sunsets from the room. Highly recommended. Less than 15 minutes drive to the center of Kalamata.
This is always my favourite hotel in Kalamata. Lovely large clean rooms with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful views right across from the beach .The very best buffet breakfast , with something for everyone.
Staff very kind, standard room with a lovely small terrace with direct sea view. Very good position for enjoy the city and the relax of the location. We can't wait to visit again Kalamata and Flisvos hotel.
