Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala!
Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning.
A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region.
Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.
Location is perfect!
The host is very kind and helpful.
He can guide you for the perfect local experience,so you can feel the spirit of Greece!
Owns a small coffee shop 2mins walk away.
I use to have my variety of coffee every morning with some locals that we had that special conversations.
Also Pavlos(the host) knows all the spots for the best taverns. There you can really experience the simplicity of the local taste.
I can keep going this way all day long.
The hotel was very nice, with a beautiful port and sea view, big room with new furniture, and a swimming pool on the top floor. The breakfast was very generous and tasty, and the staff was very helpful. The location was super central, close to the main street and to the old town. Definitely recommend!
ps: If you stay in Kavala, highly recommend Ammofoloi beach - less than 30 minutes away by car - crystal clear water, soft sand and great beach bars :)
Excellent choice. Kavala has one of the greatest location for leisure. Makis, if you see this, your apartment was home for us. Thank you for the hospitality! The apartment has anything you can imagine and is located near everything you want: close to the beaches, close to the city center (5-7 minutes by car). The cleanliness is the definition for this apartment, the view from the balcony is great and the host is the most thoughtful I ever seen. 10 of 10!
The house is lovely decorated and has a nice yard where you can chill. It's not in direct sunlight so it doesn't get too hot. It's in a quiet area, there's a lidl supermarket across the street. Everything was spotlessly clean. It's a great location for visiting by car nearby beaches, Kavala old center and kavala waterfall. The host is very kind and helpful, she provided great recomandations for places to visit in the area.
Everything was beyond our expectations!
House looks better in reality, and all the little things that made us feel really welcome, you can't see that in the puctures
And best host's we have ever had pleasure to meet <3
Recommendation is to explore as much of Kavala region as you can (beaches, archeological sites, nature, taverns...just listen to Christos, and enjoy)
very clean room, I was in more than 70 different accommodations in Greece last 3 decades, this was one of the cleanest. Very good sleeping, no noise during the night. Church bells wakes me each morning, what I liked a lot. Always free parking on the street. Perfect accommodation for single travelers in Kavala, especially for those who come by car.
We had a great stay at Adell Luxury Apartments. The apartment is very nice and very well equipt, also is close to city center and Kavala port. There is a supermarket close, 5 min walk, also parking near by. Adell was very prompt and helpfull with information about restaurants and beaches. Thank you Adell for a great stay.
I loved being able to have the pool at the Hotel, no sand for a change.😊 The Staff were very accomadating as I had booked a room without a balcony, back to reception 5 mins later we had a Balcony and a City View. The breakfast was lovely and had slight changes each morning.Highly recommend to stay at Lucy Hotel, Kavala

The apartment is not only comfortable, clean and has everything you will need to spend a wonderful time, but has one of the best views you are going to have in the city. The location is just priceless! And the host is adorable.
The location of the hotel is simply amazing. You are able to see the whole Kavala port and the old city. The breakfast gets server on the 7th floor of the hotel with a magnificent 360-degree view of the city. We also had a free room upgrade, which made the whole experience way better than we initially planned.
Everything perfect.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
Clean and comfortable. Really quiet neighborhood and very close to the center of the town.
The owner was friendly person. She was kind and gave us directions to the best places in Kavala.
10/10 for the owner ❤
Beautiful oriental architecture, amazing spirit and views. This is the best hotel possible you can choose in Kavala for your stay. The staff is super kind. The food is very good. The garden is majestic. And they have a lot of cats :)
The location was fantastique. The people were the best. The night from the terrace of the restaurant with a wonderful view of the bay and the whole city impressed us and I consider this city the Monte Carlo of Greece.

The hotel is great. I like everything about it. Rooms are clean, the most of the staff is polite, great location as it’s very near to the restaurants. The beaches are quite far, but if you have a car is ok.
Good location in the Kalamitsa area of Kavala, 5mins to the beach and supermarket.
Large room with very comfortable bed. Large balcony overlooking the street. Best choice for budget travelers.
the view of the room we stayed was great. The hotel is in downtown Kavala so you dont need to use your car at night to go to restaurants/bars. The lady in reception was very helpful and nice.
