We decided to base ourselves in Pelekas because of its vicinity both to Corfu town and to the beaches. However, the way back from the beach to the village is very steep and not convenient for children and older people. The beautiful village could be a lot nicer if traffic would be banned, since the streets are very narrow.

Our room had clearly not been renovated for the past 30+years, with broken tiles everywhere badly patched with glue/silicon (arguably a health and safety hazard), a bed with more broken springs than those still working (we slept only a few hours, if any), a shower that at peak usage time would get lukewarm at best (we called reception and they sent through a handy man at around 7pm who said it is usual for them to run out of hot water when everyone at the hotel is having showers, but it would usually come back in the next 2/3 hours). Also, our room was next to the large outdoor aircon units which were incredibly loud and they were blowing air upwards/towards our balcony (major covid risk), hence why we couldn't even make use of the one positive aspect of the hotel. Also, there was a general smell of sewage throughout the facility, including our bathroom, which became unbearable at "peak shower times". The all-inclusive package (there was no à la carte restaurant, shut due to Covid, even though the description on Booking is clearly talking of a second à la carte restaurant) was absolutely below expectations. We stayed at other 5-star hotels in Corfu a couple of nights before and after (we only experienced one dinner and one breakfast as we ran away ASAP) and the food at both was just miles ahead. To provide one simple example, the cut-up fruit provided was all canned (in syrup) fruit, as opposed to freshly cut fruit (provided at both other 5-star hotels). Also, for drinks there was only water, fizzy drinks, house wine and house beer all from a self-service tap - for anything else from a menu, you would need to prepay the tab on your room, which could only be done at reception (which is something I had never heard of/experienced before for anything above 3-stars!), which was a 10 min walk up from the restaurant.

Pelekas is not, as such, the target of a trip but if you like family beach it is totally suitable for you ; if you like family naturism the beaches are very nice at Mirtitiossa (15 mn) or Issos (40 mn) ; if you like geographic tourism Pelekas is central !

If you go to Pelekas I really recommend to rent a boat on Ermones beach, you will have an unforgettable experience, People are warm and friendly. Go to Aqualand, a great water park but make sure to go there for a whole day. 3 hours will not be enough! Go spend some cool time at Villa Myrto! If you come to this area without a car, you will be sorry. A car is a MUST have!!

    Beautiful village.

Beautiful village. We prefer somewhere less touristy and Pelekas was perfect. I am sure corona virus may have effected how busy the village was but I don’t think the charm would be lost if it was busier. Lovely selection of tavernas to enjoy dinner and we enjoyed some beautiful Greek wine and cocktails at the small little bar next to the church in the centre. Great rooftop terrace not to be missed. I would recommend a car to reach the beaches. We walked back from the beach one day and once was enough in the heat! Top top, get your sun loungers at Spyros on the beach at Pelekas/Kontogialos beach and don’t miss the calamari Or grilled octopus on the menu for lunch!! Glyfada beach wasn’t a patch on Pelekas, give it a miss. Not to be missed is watching the sunset from Kaisers Throne!! Worth the walk up the hill, grab a beer on the way!!

It's good location as base for trip around Corfu island (not the north part of island, but i think that the central and south part of island is prettier), only 20 minutes by car to the Kerkyra, a lot of beaches on west coast. We visited a lot of tavernas - for examples Staurodromi - very good meal, very kind staff.

The apartment was spacious and had a large loggia with fantastic sea view. The bathroom was nice, recently renovated, with good lightning. The apartment building was surrounded by grapes. The hosts also have a restaurant and I recommend Corfu specialties and fresh Greek salad. The way to the beach takes like 10 min. The beach was really fantastic, nice sand, very shallow entrance to the sea, clear waters and very small waves on one side of the bay and normal waves on the other side of the bay.

I do not know where to start from. The best accommodation in Corfu with the kindest hosts. Everything is so beautiful, clean and tidy, in the apartment you have everything you want, even more than you can imagine, and the view from the apartment is fantastic. A sincere recommendation for everyone to choose this accommodation. The hosts tried their best to make our vacation better and they are really wonderful! We will definitely come back here, because Anemone is better than any 5 star hotel.

Sofia is a terrific host who is always happy to help when you need anything. She even drove us to a restaurant before the kitchen closed on our first night there, which not many people would do.  The villa has a great view and is quite conveniently located. Pelekas, Glyfada beach, and Mirtiotissa beach are all a 30 minute walk from the property, so you can traverse easily enough by foot. The private pool is a good size and the garden is lovely with several seating options.

Very spacious Villa with perfect view! Basement room has gym and a 85" TV. Everything new. Pool was cleaned daily. The byway to the villa seemed a little bit steep at first. But after few days it was fun to go uphill with a car. If we managed to do it in 9 seater Mercedes van, its no problem for any other car 😁. 10min on foot to beautiful village of Pelekas going further uphill. Generous welcoming basket from the hosts! Thank you very much, Hosts! 10/10! Had perfect vacation!

    - The host was really nice and cared about us during the whole stay. - The house is really comfortable and has everything you need for your vacation. From all the kitchen amenities to the pool (a bit bigger than what it looks in the pictures!), you will not be dissapointed. - The location is quite good. Although it is not in Pélekas village, it is in a calm & nice area just a couple of minutes away from Pélekas and 10-15' from Corfu town.

Fantastic house in a lovely village with several cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The house is a perfect combination of country charm but with modern facilities including recently refitted kitchen and bathrooms. Excellent hosts with great communication in advance of the stay and on hand to answer questions during our stay. The views from the terrace are stunning. We would definitely return here on our next trip to Corfu.

We had the most wonderful vacation there. George was the most fantastic, the most hospitable, the most helpful host we have ever met. He was constantly looking for our comfort and joy. Kontogialos beach is the most beautiful part of Corfu....incredibly clear, blue water ... tranquility. The apartment satisfied all our comfort, we enjoyed the sun setting over the sea from the terrace. This is a must see! Thank you George <3

An exceptional family apartment that makes you feel like home! Maria, the host and her family are amazing people, very welcoming and helpful during the stay. I can't imagine anything missing from this apartment in terms of equipment or materials. Pelekas is a very picturesque village near Corfu Town and Glyfada beach. Would come back in the future. What a magnificent setting with superb views of both coasts of Corfu. The hotel shows signs of age but still retains its elegance. Breakfast was included and of very good quality and plenty of choice. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the sunset was spectacular, we understand that the sunrise is too but 6.30 was too early for us!

Very kind and helpful staff. Amazing location with wonderful view on the beach. The beach is sandy and has shallow, crystal clear water. It's like 5 minutes walking from the facility, and even our 4 years old son could easily make it. I would also recommend the restaurant for dinner - painted sunsets and delicious meals (Stifado is fantastic).

It's a beautiful family hotel next to the seaside. Apparently, local people believe Pelekas beach area to be one of the best in Corfu. The food was great and there was a wide variety of snacks and drinks during the day for all ages which is great. Pool and beach towels are provided for free every 2 days.

The Resort has two swimming pools with a gorgeous view of the sea, and the beach is only a 10 minute walk or less. This walk is down a steep hill, though. The homemade wine we got as a gift was wonderful and the bed is very comfortable. The host is also very helpful, he got us a car rental.
