It's difficult knowing where to stay in Rapa Nui and I was lucky to have a friend recommend this lodge. Im so glad we went, from the moment they picked us up at the airport, we felt welcomed and cared. It was a very special arrival. Throughout the stay, they were always willing to help, incredibly friendly and caring. It's a family owned lodge and you see the parents and their kids working all together to make it a great place. They provided conversation when we felt like talking and let us do our own thing when we felt like simply relaxing around. The breakfast is cooked by them with love. The fruits are from the trees in their garden and the jams are homemade too. You could feel the love in everything they provided.

Breakfast was a feast and delicious. Our tour with Miguel was informative and very fun. The hotel is new and very nice! It’s a quick ride to the Main Street with lots of yummy food and things to do. Juan is a stellar taxi driver, too. Everyone was friendly and would highly recommend! They even went out of the way to help my husband surf.

I was given a warm welcome with a garland of flowers. The staff oriented me of the facilities and I was given a very welcome drink. The room is very pristine. All of the amenities are of very high quality. The common areas were thoughtfully designed. The breakfast is also great. I enjoyed my breakfast with a view of the garden.

Easter Island is a very special place. The history and culture are really remarkable, and the Moai are amazing. It is a long journey to get there, but it certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The trip was unique and special, there is lots to do and see. If you like hiking there are some cool spots. The Maio's are special and worth visiting. I would suggest hiring a car to get around and a guide to see the attractions.

CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience.
CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience. Felt like we were looked at like "walking dollars".
- Over-priced EVERYTHING. I know it's a remote island, but seriously!
- Too often, the card machines were "not working", so they wanted cash. We would walk away and return a few minutes later or longer, wait until we see a local use a credit card, and then make our purchase.
- TOO MANY LOOSE DOGS!! Their excrement is everywhere, many are in poor health. One followed us from waterfront to our hotel, and we had to fend off 40+ other dogs (no exaggeration) that got aggressive. We fed and watered this skinny dog, and walked it back to the waterfront area where "it found us" when we went back out in the afternoon.
- Basically two beaches where you can swim - but in reality, one. And it's 18km away from the populated side of the island.
- Many dusty roads driven by aggressive drivers.
PROS:
- The island is beautiful!
- A few nice hikes.
- Moai

There are many great restaurants, especially if you like the fish food!
Those moais are magical and sunrise tour is must!
Some things are very expensive there in Easter Island, example
renting a bike is 25€/24h !
I understand that some things in so isolated place is more expensive, but I think they have cartel in some business. Maybe they all don't understand that even they want to avoid the competition with each other, they will still have that competition with other vacation places. If people think it's too expensive, they go somewhere else.

You need to have interest in the history of the island.
You need to have interest in the history of the island. Showing up for a "resort style vacation" would be the wrong reason to go. We did a lot of homework and it was almost emotional to be there, especially after the island was run into the ground by greed.... You do need a guide to enter the parks. Sunscreen and water is your friend. You can stamp your passport, but not open on weekends.

I read on the internet:-
1.
I read on the internet:-
1. You could buy your ticket (USD80) for the National park at the airport. This is no longer the case. You have to buy your entry ticket in town.
2. Also, you could get your passport stamped with an Easter Island stamp at the post office. This is no longer the case. Go to the tourist information in town (sea front).
The view, location and value for money were excellent, but if I have to highlight one thing it would be the atmosphere and energy of the place because of the people who work there, you are at home. Jimena, her owner, is someone very special and I learned a lot from her, about the Rapa Nui culture and life in general. Jimena also facilitates a total immersion experience at the most competitive prices with the people she works with; I can highly recommend an island tour with Patricio and a relaxing/healing massage with Jenny.
This hotel is amazing, the property is very nice, it is very well situated and most of all the people that work there are really helpful and nice. It's very close to the ocean, actually I had a partial view of it from my bed, the breakfast is one of the most complete, the pool is very nice also. But you simply don't need to spend time at the hotel on this small, but amazing island so as I comment below I believe the pricing was unreasonably high. Otherwise everything is just perfect.
+ Room had a nice view over the garden down to the sea.
+ Garden area is like being in paradise: lots of flowers, chickens free roaming the garden and small geckos.
+ Lovely pool though small.
+ Staff very friendly.
+ Food offered by the restaurant is good.
+ Breakfast buffet above Chilean standard incl. nice cheese board; custom egg dishes available on demand.
+ Room has air conditioning.
+ Transfer from and to the hotel is included.
The staff are amazing, so helpful, kind and flexible organising the tours. Tour guide speaks perfect English and they tell you all the rapa nui history! I would highly recommend this hotel! The room is huge and very comfy. The sea view is perfect to wake up to in the morning. Only a 5 minute walk to town, but the hotel has wonderful barbecues in the evening. Its a great place to meet and mingle with the locals and other guests at the hotel.
We loved our stay here! Ximena was so helpful and went out of her way to make our visit comfortable. The unit was lovely, the bed was comfy, the gardens are beautiful, and it was about a 15 minute stroll into downtown Hanga Roa. There's a little minimarket right next door to get groceries, or a coffee or ice cream, which are great when you're swinging on the hammocks in the garden. Strong wi-fi too.
Host was friendly and helpful with sharing local information on arrival.
The location is close to the main street and restaurants but it is on a side street with 5 min walking. At night it is quite dark (no street lights) and all streets are full of stray dogs. It makes the walk unpleasant.
It has a nice small garden in the front with flowers. With some work, hotel could be much better.
Very friendly staff could find no fault with them at all. Great location very central. Lots to do around and about . Great atmosphere. Loved the overall aesthetic
Cleaned every day , fresh towels and bedding.
Loved the lush greenery of the garden .pool area was nice .
The hotel also organised our trips and transfers.
Chatted to others at the breakfast every morning. Nice assortment.
Rene was great, he picked us up from the airport, got a rental car for us, provided us with a single day tour and at the end of it all drove us back to the airport. I also happened to have lost my camera when in Hanga Roa, people from town and Rene worked quickly to assist in finding it, and we did! House was wonderful, as well as the tour he gave us.
Spacious room, very comfortable big bed, with nice pillows. Okay breakfast. Good location, close to the airport (10 mins walk) and also ~10-15 min walk to good restaurants. The service was excellent, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They have booked all the tours for us, also reserved and brought bicycles.
The owners are the nicest people! They care so much about the experience each guest has while at their place. They were so helpful and organized our tours, suggested things to do, and places to eat. The breakfast was great each morning and the gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. Wonderfully relaxing after a warm day of touring!
Staff ( bilingual) service and location. included Breakfast was one of best we have ever had. Staff was friendly warm and concerned that you had what you needed. courtyard garden made for lovely outdoor reading, playing cards, and relaxing. Booked tours though hotel all excellent
I'ta, who runs the place , is a great guy. He knows a lot about pretty much everything Rapa Nui. He was always helpful and available to guests to deal with any issue or help make arrangements for tours, rentals, etc.
Nice quiet location just a block or two from main street.
Beautiful, friendly hotel right in the heart of Hanga Roa. Fantastic guide who knew all the best spots to go and knew when they would be free of other tourists. He was the very best! Plus, the ceviche restaurant across the street was delicious. We ate there several times.
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabana was spotless and had all the extras you need to make your stay comfortable. Conveniently located to markets and a short walk into Hanga Roa. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home!
Magdalena was a wonderful host. she picked us up from the airport with a flower garland each and a hug. she made us feel like her guests the entire weekend rather than customers.
the location is really great for the main area of Hanga Roa.
It was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in, very clean and the view is amazing! Sleeping with the waves sound is incredible, also the owner is so kind I’ll definitely be back when I return to Easter island!
it’s in a wonderful location close to the airport and easily walkable into the centre of Hanga Roa. Benjamin was a wonderful host and so so helpful to an idiot traveller who hadn’t planned ahead!
host is very nice and helpful, he patiently wait me even the flight was delayed. Hostel is nice and well equipped, though a bit old. price is excellent. I enjoyed my 4days stay at easter island!
