The whole accommodation is amazing! Clean, spacious and beautiful. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and generous and provided travel cards, for use on the buses and trains, as part of the stay. The hotel/restaurant across the road provided amazing local dishes, we ate there twice. Excellent, would recommend and stay again.

both the food and the breakfast were very good. The service very friendly. Fortunately there is a busstop directly opposite from the hotel, because it rained a lot and we were on a hiking trip..

We booked quite late in the day and arrived mid dinner service and despite being very busy the lady welcomed us and got us a table for dinner right away and got us checked in and breakfast preordered. The service was good and food very nice. We went for a walk to local waterfalls after which was very lovely.

Peaceful and relaxing base to tour around Black Forest area.
Peaceful and relaxing base to tour around Black Forest area. Lovely to hear the river flowing in the peace at night. Serviced by an hourly train to take you throughout the area. We ate in Renchtalhutte which was up steep hill from Bad Peterstal, with excellent views over countryside.

Beautiful, small town. Clean.
Beautiful, small town. Clean. Gorgous picture-postcard-worthy houses everywhere and amazing views from the hillsides all around. Pretty remote, but also relatively easy to access cities such as Baden-Baden, Freudenstadt and Freiburg. Hotel-Garni Café Räpple was wonderful - service with a smile, great local cakes and delicious schnitzel. Kids loved it.
Be prepared for Sundays where pretty much everything is closed, though. Also check yourself, your kids and your animals for ticks as they are around this area (I got one, as did my dog).
The only gripe we had was that quite a few of the roads to the south were closed, without any obvious notices anywhere and the GPS didn't know, so we had a few much longer journeys to get back to the town than we would have had if this had been better advertised (perhaps the tourist office could inform local hoteliers to tell their guests, for example).

Hotel Schauinsland is a real gem, located at the top of the village, with the forest on one side, and a beautiful view over the valley on the other. Just waking up there puts you in a good mood! The staff is really friendly, and try to accomodate you as much as they can. We very much enjoyed the sauna as well as a dip in the pool. The rooms might look a bit old-fashioned, but they were comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the black forest!

The hotel is located at the top of the village with great view over the forest. There are hiking trails starting from the same street. The staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful. The style of the room is old if you like this type, but very well preserved, nicely designed wood work and quite clean.
The apartment had everything we needed - it is fairly small but fully equipped with new furniture and kitchen equipment, clean, and quiet. The owners were particularly friendly. The flowers and view on the balcony. The quiet location in the middle of Schwarzwald.
Beautiful room with a large bed and a clean and modern bathroom. The room had even a balcony. The breakfast was excellent and delicious, the diner that we had twice was also delicious. There is parking in front of the hotel. Super friendly staff!

The hotel itself is very nice, the view from the balcony is really good we enjoyed it every time. Also the swimming pool was good, but to me it was little bit cold. And stuff was really friendly, we loved the place.
The town is a very small and nice one. The decor of Hotel Kimming was really very nice. The cleanliness was very good. The staff at the break-fast were highly co-operative and couteous.
