The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka'anapali, hotel in Kahana

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka'anapali is situated between North Ka’anapali Beach and the mountains of West Maui.

It was a hopeless faulty towers experience where staff were both incredibly unhelpful, unwilling to assist, didn’t know what they were doing etc. I really would not recommend this accomodation as value for money. You expect at this price range a luxury experience and it was anything but.

Kahana was a convenient location for West Maui activities.

Kahana was a convenient location for West Maui activities. The Napili Market had exceptionally higher prices for their products than other markets. Simple bread crumbs for pork chops riveled nearly the same price as three pork chops. Products at the Ritz Carlton Market down the street were more reasonably priced.

The area is a bit away from the swimming beaches, shopping and dining, but it is very convenient location for driving to these areas, as well as other areas in Maui. There is a local bus service that runs until about 8:30 PM, so that is also handy. Very quiet area in the evenings so you can get a good nights sleep.

We had a third floor condo with a great ocean view. Turtles entertained us daily and sunsets were great. No AC was no problem with plenty of fans and ocean breeze. The pool was under construction so that's too bad but it should be great when finished.

This is the windy side of the island (Maui is the windiest island anyway) and there are lots of condos and places to stay and eat in this area. Easy to get to and a short drive to Lahina and about an hour from the main airport.

The beach across from the hotel is not for the faint at heart. Strong undertow and waves that can knock you down. There are also rocks protruding out of the sand that hurt if you get caught by a wave. I would suggest a beach at the park. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the ocean behind the Weston that is open to the public as is any beach in Hawaii. The one thing I would avoid is the Road to Hana. In my opinion it is not worth losing a day over a hairraising drive with many curves, very few places to pull over to look at the scenery and dense and tall vegetation that hides the views. Too much traffic and drivers that do not pay attention to the conditions.

The best part was the view. It was outstanding!

The best part was the view. It was outstanding! It was breath taking. Unfortunately, they were working on the ocean barriers during the day. The owners gave full notice so it was no fault of theirs. Overall, the family would stay in the same place again. It was a beautiful setting, clean accommodations and had a wonderful time.

We had exquisite sunsets every night, an exceptional condo with attention to detail by Sullivan Properties, the tranquil sounds of the ocean every day and night, and all the staff at Sands of Kahana are quick to greet you with a smile and an Aloha every time they see you! Sullivan Properties made sure to include helpful hints about local fare, map of the area, PLENTY of towels, and other info we might need. What an amazing vacation!

Location easy, walking distance to restaurants and miscellaneous shopping as well as two public beaches, and the beach in front of the facility itself. Nice clean pools and hot tubs. as well as several activities, putting green shuffleboard and lounges for sunbathing We loved the view from our third-floor balcony just like their photo overlooking the Koi pool, swimming pool, hot tub and beach.

The room was absolutely wonderful. The view from the balcony was amazing. The room was large with a full kitchen, living room and a bedroom. Sunsets were perfect from the balcony! We slept in the living room and listened to the waves crashing all night. The water was about 50 feet from the room. We stayed at 4 different places during our Hawaiian vacation. This was our favorite!

Would highly recommend this place! It is a renovated unit, amazing ocean views for breakfast, large comfortable king beds, very well stocked kitchen, nice touches throughout the unit with great attention to detail, extra linens, boogie boards and beach chairs!! Host was also very attentive and quick to respond. There is a pool and bbq in the common area downstairs.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, including surprising you with delicious chocolate treats. This gesture likely made you feel welcomed and appreciated as a guest. The balcony was well-stocked with a variety of water swimming accessories and games, providing you with plenty of entertainment options during my stay. Thank you,

Aside from the parking issue we loved the unit. Great location, nice pool, well equipped and furnished and convenient to shops, the beach, food trucks, the supermarket, etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again our next time on Maui - - and will figure out how the parking works.

We really loved staying at Napili Village. It is a cozy, modest hotel, not too large and very convenient to the beautiful Napili Bay. It was delightful with a view of the bay, a well organized kitchen, and very comfortable bed. We loved the room, and were happy to have spent time there.

Less expensive condo in the great location. Kahana Sunset has beautiful grounds and its own private beach. I’ve been to all the beaches in Napili area and this one is absolutely the best swimming beach for me - no people, clear azure water, no waves, great for kids.

Quiet relaxed apartment in small complex with sea views, great pool and nice gardens. Bonus was a small beach nearby frequented by turtles every day we were there. Close to shops but would ideally need access to a car to make the most of the area.
