Shutters on the Bank was very clean, quiet, and relaxing. I will definitely be booking again with my family! We've found our go to spot whenever we travel to OBX! The front desk staff were friendly and the room service staff were friendly!

This place is for families not for a 75 year old with back issues. Getting in and out of the motel using the handicap access very inconvient, obviously put in place after the motel was built. When we finally made it to the hallway it was very narrow, the carpet was stained, giving the place a really old and dingy look. The room had a direct view of the house next door. The bathroom was really strange, it had been updated, new floor tile, stand up shower but the shower leaked and had removed the white paint around door frame, bare black wood, mold maybe? There was a small couch, think old style fainting couch. My husband and I were there to bird and spent little time in our old, dated, claustrophobic room. No coffee in the room but a continental breakfast was included, there was a large choice of breakfast items including breakfast sandwiches. The good reviews were certainly not where we stayed. Would never stay here again.

Location of hotel was good. Exactly how advertised
We loved our stay at the Wright Stuff. There's so much to do; the beach, but also the Wright Memorial, the Teaching Gardens, Nags Head Wood Preserve, the wild horses, Manteo and Wanchese all very close by. We paddle boarded in the Sound and took a dolphin tour that was worth every penny. Couldn't believe how many dolphins were playing by our boat. Good golf courses nearby too. But the condo was so fun to stay at and was well supplied with everything to make vacationing fun and relaxing at the same time.

The beach was great.
The beach was great. Several great restaurants nearby but nothing within realistic walking distance from our place. Our accommodations were great for the price. We made our trip fun and memorable so overall it was grand!!

The Outer Banks of NC is a must see.
The Outer Banks of NC is a must see. We did it all in the time frame we had and the weather that didn't always cooperate. The Sand Dunes at Jockey State Park, The Wright Brothers Memorial, Jeanette's Pier, Pea Island, The Graveyard Memorial, The Elizabethan Gardens, and the Wild Horses Tour in the Hummer was all so exciting and amazing!! The restaurants we are at were just ok or not ok.....Sam Omies and The Crab House.

First time in OBX, loved it.
First time in OBX, loved it. We stayed here since it was pretty central to go both directions up and down the coast easily. There is plenty to do, weather pending. We came in shoulder season so it was quiet and a little chilly. I hear it gets incredibly busy in the summer. Beautiful part of the coast and will come again.

This hotel is beach front and although it was foggy and rainy, we could still see the ocean.
We liked the fact that there as a little cafe run by Dave who made us up a shrimp and salad supper so we didn’t have to navigate in the fog!
Most of all, the staff at the hotel are great and super helpful. We had a problem with payment which has been sorted out by the Manager, Lynnsey.

Ya get what you pay for. Cheap price for a cheap room. A/C did not work well, whole building and room needed updated, you deal with a kiosk at lobby, there is a live person but they don't do anything, had to put$100 cash into kiosk for security deposit, didn't want to give a credit card, we booked with booking.com so they didn't have my info, it wad all paid for ahead, then go back to kiosk in am and go thru all the crap to get my $100 back, I like cheaper rooms but I think I will scratch this hotel off my list
The location of the property is good. They are right next to the beach so you can walk to the beach. A small hut on the dunes gives a nice view of the beach. We had takeaway dinner there one night. Quite nice! The outdoor pool is small but good enough for a quick dip. You will find a beachwear shop right next to the hotel!
There are a few restaurants nearby, but be prepared to drive.
Breakfast is a traditional American motel breakfast, but it gets you started.
Location is perfect. The room was good enough gor an Inn but I still ecpect to see more. I am on a road trip tje lsdt 6wkd and have stayed at a different place almost every night for 6 wks. Sll motels hotels inns are very expensive since Covid. I wish these places could be updated on a regular basis there is too much wear and tear. Comfort inn sre good across the statef I have traveled.
The breakfast however at this one is quite miserable.
We stayed in the double suite, it was very roomy, it's been updated. It has a small bar with a mini fridge and microwave and single coffee pot. Lots of space. It was a double room so it also had a love seat in the living area. Was clean and right on the beach. They have grills and picnic tables outside so we cooked out for our Easter dinner which was very nice. They are pet friendly also. I enjoyed staying there and would stay again.
Great location, right on the beach. Good brewery and dining close by. Room was large and they cleaned it every day. You don’t get that anywhere anymore. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a hotel, better than the last Embassy Suites I stayed at. Rent a Jeep and go driving on the beach. You won’t regret it.
This hotel was centrally located and made it easy to get to shopping, food, any of the beaches, and attractions. It was easy to find and the price was excellent. I would recommend going in the off season. It was also quiet and right on the beach. I walked right out the door onto the beach and loved it.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay.Close to everything. The cleanliness far exceeded my expectations.I have stayed at many hotels across a few states including big chains and this was tha cleanest by far!Not a speck of dust anywhere.I will stay here EVERY time I visit the Outer Banks
Although the main areas of the hotel itself are a little tired, the rooms look refreshed and more modern and it all seemed very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It is a great location and from our room we had a view of the ocean, what more could you want?!?
Location is the best feature of this hotel-right on the beach and central to everything in the town.
Breakfast bar was good, standard for free/included breakfast.
Staff was friendly, front desk staff efficient.
Room offered the basic amenities and beds were comfortable.
Fantastic experience. Beautiful hotel, well designed and very quiet room. Receptionist fulfilled our request for a top floor room away from other guests because we wanted to go to sleep early and not be disturbed.
The Oceanfront Room on the second floor was awesome. It was only 17 steps to reach the room. The room was big enough and enjoyed it. The hotel even had 24 hour coffee/tea available.
The location of the hotel was nice. It was a very short walk to the beach. Being able to walk out in the morning to see that sunrise was very nice. The breakfast was also good.
