Make sure you find the actual "Dripping Springs" for which the town is named. It's next to Clara's cabin on Mercer Street. Very cool. We enjoyed the shops on Mercer and Pedernales Falls State Park. We ate at Homespun Kitchen, which was good but quite pricey. We stayed at The Alexander at Creek Road, which was incredible.

I was expecting a small town, but it is a suburb of Austin. But the Mercer dance Hall was excellent. The Salt Lick Barbecue restaurant was an iconic setting, food was good, not great. The main road has heavy traffic,

Dripping Springs is an up and coming neighborhood with beautiful fields and clear skies. But the weather can change in a few hours, as it did for us and then there were thunderstorms and flooding. Roads were briefly closed to let the waters subside. Good amount of shopping centers to get your groceries, medications, fuel and car washed. Fast food places like McDonalds, Whataburger, etc. The roads are nice and smooth!
