View was incredible, location was close enough to everything while still being away from city noise. Free transfer into town was helpful, although a car would be needed for getting anywhere else.

There are lots of places to eat, easy to get to everything, just be mindful of the cost we didn't realise Queenstown/New Zealand was so expensive but didn't stop us enjoying everything we did, Gondola, Shot Over River, Onsen, TSS Earnslaw Cruise, Helicopter flight ever drove around to see other small towns and the countryside. Excellent place to visit

Queenstown is expensive for sure but a quaint town with numerous activities available in both the town and the surrounding area, therefore offers both relaxation and adventure depending on your mood. I went during May, therefore the snow hadn't set for which I believe skiing is a popular activity in the region and adds to the landscape with the snow covered mountains surrounding the city. Ensure you have enough money as there are plenty of other places around the South Island to stay which would be cheaper. I enjoyed Milford Sound but they were having a "drought" as it hadn't rained in 2 weeks therefore not as many waterfalls on display but still beautiful. I would go up top to do the luge and paragliding, but don't do the luge if you are tall (I'm 6'4") as there aren't any big enough for you. I also visited Arrowtown which is a nice village just outside to visit with a great vibe. Other activities I would recommend are also jet-boats and plenty of opportunities for bungee and possibly skydiving as this is very temperamental in Franz Josef where we booked and it was cancelled, therefore either here or Abel Tasman is a safer bet.

I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown.
I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown. It was very easy to get around and the people were quite friendly and helpful.
I ate at the "Boardwalk" and "Flame" -- both on the wharf side. I was disappointed in the food at the Flame (pork ribs), and also that the waiters didn't explain how large a portion I was ordering. In many NZ restaurants, you have a choice of ordering a "Main" or "Entree" portion. I enjoyed eating at the Boardwalk more.
The scenery is exceptionally beautiful there and the energy of the town was incredible to experience! I'm so glad I decided to visit Queenstown!

This was our fourth visit to Queenstown from Auckland, and the 3rd time staying at the Heritage Hotel. Because there are numerous road works around the town at present( May 2024) and also having to pay for parking everywhere we found it easier to go in by bus and leave the car at the Hotel which gave us more freedom to walk, sight see and get around.
There are an abundance of eateries around Queenstown. Pog Mahones Irish pub. Eriks fish and chips food truck, and of course the famous Fers burgers. A short drive by car or on the bus is the the new shopping centre at Franklin not far from the airport , which takes around 15 mins, where we had lunch at Billy`s cafe, and also lunch at the Coffee club.
In Queenstown, we took the Lunch time cruise on the Earnslaw steamboat up to Walter peak sheep station. Beautiful lunch and scenery.
walked around the Botanical gardens.
Its a lovely drive by car or bus to Arrowtown you can go one way and return via lake Hayes. While there pop into the Fork and tap pub.

The traffic management situation is problematic.
The traffic management situation is problematic. Queenstown seems to be overloved causing traffic issues which are exacerbated by road works all over the place. Don’t expect to solve the parking riddle easily.
Apart from these issues Queenstown is great place with great scenery and a good vibe.

Beautiful landscapes and scenery, lot of places to try different foods and activities to do and Queenstown is a stones throw away from the outer towns e.g. Cardrona, Wanaka, Cromwell, Arrowtown which we visited. Definitely worth a visit and the drive and scenary were spectacular. We went on two jet boat rides, to the Onsen Spas and up the Gondala for dinner at the Stratosphere Restaurant (food was great but it was very busy). Had our first Ferg Burger which was delish!! Overall, a great trip!!
The room was very well equipped and had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and shower was amazing! We also used the gym during our stay and this was great! A bit far from central Queenstown but on the other hand, pretty handy to the wineries and Arrowtown, and also convenient being close to supermarkets and the Frankton shops.
Overall, a nice hotel and everything was pretty decent considering the staffing shortages in Queenstown at the moment. We enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is 10 min from airport and 10 min from Town centre, free shuttle every our to the centre. Everything was good about the hotel, amazing view , quiet location, good breakfast, very helpful, friendly and polite staff , in our 3 bedroom apartment we’ve got washing and drying machines that really helped us. We enjoyed the terrace and sitting hall with fire place, beds are comfortable, very clean overall
This new hotel beside the Airport is a great stopover option for Queenstown. The hotel facilities themselves are great - modern, clean, comfortable apartments with everything you need (including a washer and dryer). And within close vicinity of the hotel there are shops and restaurants. The 15min walk to the airport is easy, making travel to/from Queenstown much easier than a central Queenstown stopover.
Accommodation meets the expectation as per price. It values for price. In this price you getting heated room, bathroom and free breakfast in queenstown , what else we need.
$100 for a nigh plus some bread, cereal, coffee ad toast plus wifi and free parking.
If somebody needs comfy beds, side table and luxury, this is not for them,
If you want better room facilities, book a hotel. It is motel
We liked that it was a cheaper place to stay over Christmas compared to other stays in Queenstown. The staff were excellent and very knowledgeable. The bed was quite comfy and set low on the ground. The decor was "interesting" and neither good or bad. The bathroom was alright with a shower/bath combo but the water pressure and temperature was awesome.
We've stayed here a few times, but this was our first time in the Penthouse. You can't find anything cheaper in Queenstown CBD, and it's nicer than all the other backpackers I've stayed in. The pods provide lots of privacy. The Penthouse had its own deck and kitchen, which was ideal for a wine + cheese as the sun went down over the lake. We'll be back
Our room on the 3rd floor had a lovely view.
Beds were very comfortable.
In spite of the hotel facing the main road into Queenstown, the rooms were quiet at night.
Walking into Queenstown central was about a ten minute stroll.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
We dined in our room, and room service was happy to provide plates and cutlery
Great location. Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Quality of facility, rooms, service, breakfast, cleanliness, all very good. Loved the complimentary cocktail hour every evening, great way to meet fellow guests over canapes and a glass (or two) of wine. The hotel is not cheap, but it is very good value!
Great location - walking distance into centre of Queenstown.
Delightful staff - so helpful. Special shout out to Alexandra (restaurant manager at breakfast] - so professional, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble - the hotel are lucky to have you on their staff!
Lake view room was fantastic.
the location is close to the city.it is a walking distance to all the shops, skyline gondola, queenstown garden, kiwi park and the famous fergburger.
We got a room with a good view of the city and the buffet breakfast was cheap yet many choices.
our toilet flush was faulty and it was fixed right away.
Amazing Room - Really spacious with a kitchenette included with fridge, microwave + hob. The whole building is clean, the parking out front is very useful and the sauna was an added bonus! The location is a ~10 minute walk to the centre of Queenstown, so not too bad.
Location was very central and walking distance to Queenstown city centre.
Parking directly in front of the unit was also very convenient.
Front of house staff were extremely helpful in resolving a booking error, and we were able to book another room on the spot.
Location could not have been better. A short walk to town centre but yet quiet. The Queenstown Hill hike is directly in front of the hotel beginning on Malaghan street. The staff was helpful on several occasions. The room and shower were clean.
The hotel was in a somewhat convenient location on the top of a steep hill just outside of the centre of town. The room was small and cosy with a decent shower. Breakfast was enjoyable. Overall a pleasant stay.
Great location, 5 minutes walk into Queenstown central, there is a steep hill to climb but very manageable ! Hotel room was exceptionally clean I could not fault a thing ! The view is awesome
Exactly as advertised. If you want cheap hostel accommodation in Queenstown that's clean with a comfortable bed, decent facilities and very central, this is a great option.
We liked the proximity of the hotel to Queenstown centre. There was also free parking available immediately outside the hotel. The room was very clean.
