It's a beautiful place, the kitchen isn't crowded, I was able to cook and relax as well. It's a quiet place, close to everything. The person who helped us was very friendly and kind. We arrived a bit earlier then check in time and she had already prepared our room, made me very happy. Both Susan and Samantha are awesome. Susan asked me a day before what time I'd arrive, after our check out, she let us leave our things in the office, weal we waited for our bus to arrive.
There is a mini fridge in the room, where we were able to store a lot of things in it. They clean the room everyday. It's located in the middle of the town, walking distance from a bac bank, grocery stores, restaurants, bars.
We were able to see monkeys. It's a beautiful place. It's an expensive town, i eat out a lot but I also cooked. I didn't mind eating out but if you're on a budget, its best to cook. It's an average of 25 000 colones for two per meal including possibly 2 drinks, depending on what you get. Roughly 20$ to 30$ a meal, excluding drinks. Just a little tip I wanted to add.

Very nice small town feel. Really enjoyed the restaurants.
Very nice small town feel. Really enjoyed the restaurants. It was very hot in early April when we visited. End of the dry season so but lush at all. Everything is within walking distance. Go check out the zoo there. If you can get a car go visit Lola's which is a 40 min drive away. No one there on that beach.
Massages on the beach are inexpensive and worth it. Renting beach loungers are cheap with unbrella. Some restaurants on the beach have them too. Lots of restaurants along the beach.

Great small surf town, with everything you need within short walking distance. Variety of cuisine with Happy Hour offers (take them as food is pricey here). We mostly ate at "Soda" restaurant (any spot with Soda means it's local food). Fire throwers perform nightly around center of the beach. Tip them, it is amazing what they can do. River Boat tour showed us mangrove vegetation, crocodiles and iguanas. Blue Dolphin sunset sailing was super fun, check the wind report before booking. Horseback riding available at the beach, I'd recommend morning time when tide is low. Sand is pack then and beach is wide for them to walk on. Sun is sneaky here and you can burn easily, so be careful.

I love love love Tamarindo!
I love love love Tamarindo! I've actually been looking non-stop at properties to see if there is a place I'd like to live. It's unlikely that I will move there permanently, but I'd love to have a little place to be able to visit once in awhile!

We were disappoined in Tamarindo ~ it felt like a tourist...
We were disappoined in Tamarindo ~ it felt like a tourist trap with all the sidewalk tour booths. We went snorkeling with one of the booths by the beach which was definitely NOT worth it as there was absoluately nothing to see. We discovered Native Way & booked a tour to the Estuary which was excellent compared to another guest who booked from the booths by the beaches. I also heard many of them are scams as they want a deposit which will be the last you'll hear ofthem. We would recommend Native Way if you want to book any tours. We were disappointed becaue Tarmarindo was more expensive than we expected. There were only a few "shops" that were not filled with "souvenirs" that were probably not even made there. Go to the Night Market on Thursday or Farmer's Market on Saturday for unique gifts made by local artisans. Food at Restaurants were good but not the prices. We recommend Tabu & Pico Bistro. Pangas is over rated... food was so so but atmosopshere was out of this world.
Really nice small hotel in such a noisy and active place as Tamarindo is. The hotel sits in 3 mins driving (or 10 mins walk) from the main streets, shops, restaurants. The internal territory is nice and colorful. There's a common kitchen and place for your surfboard. Parking is in front of the building and it is safe. The room was quite big with everything needed for life here. Big bathroom and all facilities in good conditions. Staff was nice and friendly. You can easily reach main city area and stay quiet inside the hotel. Recommend.
I travel a lot and I don't think I've met friendlier or more helpful hosts at this hotel. Due to a shortage of rental cars throughout Costa Rica, I was without transportation when I arrived at the hotel. Jeffrey and Shirley gave me a ride to downtown Tamarindo and even took time from their busy schedule to provide a personal tour of the town. Shirley even arranged an Uber taxi for me to travel to my next stop at Coco Beach. They are renovating the hotel and it is now modern, clean and reasonably priced.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, and offered suggestions for our trip often. The pool and room were perfect. They communicated well with cleaning the rooms and changing beach towels. Finally, the location is perfect as it’s within walking distance (5-15 minutes depending where you are going) to all main attractions. It’s lovely and quiet though for when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. Don’t think about it, just book.
What was not to like from the moment we arrived!? This was an absolute winner on our road trip around Costa Rica. We did not want to leave! The food was absolutely incredible, we had the best massage and last not but least their amazing staff :) we could have not been made to feel more welcome and looked after. They really went above and beyond! A special mention for Alison and Nancy, who bid us farewell on our last day. We hope to see you again soon!
The staff is very kind and helping
It is located perfectly at the center of Tamarindo, yet, very calm and quiet
Very close to the beach, shops and restaurants
Very clean
Has a complete kitchen with all you need to cook
I would recommend this place anytime and return as well with friends and family
The other people renting also were quiet and respectful, it is not a party hotel but a quiet place to find rest and that I really appreciate a lot.
It was a beautiful place. On the beach, and everything we could need in Tamarindo was within walking distance. The hotel was clean, peaceful, and had massages offered on the beach for only $35 an hour. The staff was very kind and one of the best tour agencies in Tamarindo (Natives Way) was a 2 minute walk down the street. There were monkeys in the palms, butterfies in the air, and iguanas on the ground.
Everything was perfect! This was the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week stay in Costa Rica. The rooms are super comfortable with all necessary amenities (AC, hairdryer, soap, shampoo etc). Breakfast is included and is totally delicious. The pool is lovely- we also had a massage which was great. Johanna is a wonderful host- so friendly and helpful. 10/10 I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Amazing B&B just outside of Tamarindo, you can rest in the quiet property but get to all of the local beaches and restaurants really easily. Their homemade breakfast was fantastic and they brought it to our front porch, and they were incredibly attentive and helpful during our stay. When, not if, we come back to Costa Rica, we will definitely stop by again.
Beautiful, chilled out hotel. Great location. Spacious, clean room and bed really comfortable. Relaxing pool area and tasty, varied breakfast. Even seen howler monkeys and raccoons outside back of hotel in the trees. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend as a base to explore Tamarindo.
Beautiful hotel rich of character just in the centre of Tamarindo. Staff super nice and available to accomodate every request. Rooms are very well decored in ethnic sytle and they are very comfortable.
Breakfast super super good!
Just the perfect place where to stay while in Tamarindo!
amazing location. Very few hotels in Tamarindo right on the water. The staff was really great and accommodating. Every room having a kitchen was huge. kayaks/surfboards available to rent. I stayed in probably 10 different hotels in Tamarindo and this one was top 2.
I LOVED it all!! The staff were amazing and made us feel like family! The breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious, especially the smoothies and the fresh fruit! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, we had an amazing time in Tamarindo!
Everything: the food, the atmosphere, the pool, the room, the design. The hotel is brand new and you can really sense the effort and hard work that was put into it. This is the place we will stay at next time we are in Costa Rica
Excellent location. The room was spacious and clean. Private parking is available. There is a nice garden at the Hotel and everything is decorated with typical Costa Rican ornaments. Good value for money.
Hotel was new and clean, pool was lovely. Breakfast was amazing, the best hotel breakfast we had in the whole of our stay in Costa Rica. Owner of the hotel was also lovely and helpful too. Highly recommend
Best included breakfast we have had in Costa Rica. Rooms were spacious, bathroom was very new and fancy. Pool and dining area were great. Fun, quiet atmosphere away from the clubs and noise of main street
Great little boutique hotel in the heart of Tamarindo. Friendly staff and a very comfortable and cozy experience. Made for a great first trip to Costa Rica and would definitely come back. Thanks!
It was quaint, small, and right on the beach. Staff always around and helpful! We aren’t all inclusive type of travelers. I heard the banana bread was spectacular!
