Anne Shirley Motel & Cottages, hotel in Cavendish

Set in Cavendish, 1.5 km from Cavendish Beach, Anne Shirley Motel & Cottages offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

The place was overbooked and we were sent to a different place for 2 nights. When we went back to our original booking it wasn’t ready. The only upside was the maintenance crew Matt and Keith were very helpful and accommodating. We will not return. Very unhappy. Location was the only good part very central

Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottage Resort, hotel in Cavendish

Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottage Resort has an outdoor salt-water swimming pool, and a playground for kids. The self-catered accommodation looks out onto the ocean and offers a fully equipped kitchen.

This suite was perfectly suited to our needs. Every convenience was there. The kitchen was well stocked. The barbeque even had a lighter and accessories included. The manager was very accommodating when we needed a suite without a lot of stair steps because my wife was in a cast. The bed was comfortable and the suite was spacious.

Gorgeous beach with a mix of white sand and beautiful views of red cliffs. The area includes the Anne of Green Gables Heritage site and the Arglye Park - both can be visited in a day trip. Cavendish beach and surrounding area is definitely worth a visit for a day or 2!

Lots of family fun attractions! We always find something new to do while visiting PEI, but also make a point of visiting our favorite attractions such as the Haunted Mansion in Kensington and the Boardwalk and Sandspit in Cavendish

Everything is very expensive, especially food, no fast food restaurants at all (a McDonald's would of been nice) ended up paying $80 for a very basic pub meal (no drinks) for two adults and one kid. For a family of three each difference experience was about $100 ( the amusement parks, tourists attractions and such) Lots to do if you have the money.

The shower stall was a show stopper.

The shower stall was a show stopper. Waaay too small..no place for toiletries..not enough outlets.tv outdated. Couch from the 80s. Needed more outlets or a surge protectors outlet strips. Bed was very comfortable. Colors of kitchen bathroom nice. Place was clean and the kitchen. Was quaint and nice. Mount a modest flat screen on the wall and put a futon w removable, washable covers. The pictures online showed well trimmed grounds and painted cute cottages. When we got there..the grounds were over grown and every building needed painting!!! Yikes. Young woman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We decided to leave after one night as we were too stressed put looking at all the work that needed to be done around the place and shower stall was too challenging to maneuver!!! Probably never get our money back for the 3 days of our reservation I paid for in advance and did not use.

There was a lot to do around this area - especially if you arrived a week or two earlier AND if there hadn’t been a hurricane bearing down on the region! By September 20 a lot of restaurants and businesses are closed for the season - but then again the Provincial Parks are no longer charging fees! (And with “the warmest ocean waters north of the Carolinas”, my husband even swam in the sea at Sally’s Beach!) A hurricane of historic proportions (Fiona) was aimed at PEI/maritime Canada, so we had two and a half days of okay weather, during which local folks were preparing for the storm. It was lovely, but as we fled to the Confederation Bridge and mainland ahead of predicted devastation we agreed out hadn’t REALLY been a fair chance to evaluate Prince Edward Island.

It's a seasonal town with plenty of activities for adults and children. If your interested in Anne of Green Gables, you can see all the attractions concerning the author in a day. Prices for the attractions are reasonable, gift shops are priced as expected, you don't feel cheated and lots to see and lots of history. A nice variety of restaurants, but only one place for a sit down breakfast.

Very clean., quaint, nice artwork on the wall by a local painter. Good location if you like Anne of Green Gables. North Rustico is not the nicest part of the island but it’s centrally located to be able to explore more. Close to the PEI National Park/ Cavendish Beach which is ok to see. Decent breakfast. Located near amusement park, and has two swimming pools; therefore good for families with kids. Not so much for romance.

These cottages were a good place to stay for our family of 4 in Cavendish for a few days. Very central location which is why we chose it. Great playground for the kids, lots of other kids/families there. My kids enjoyed the pool as well. The beds were comfortable. I'd read other reviews complaining of bugs but we didn't encounter that (although there in September so less of an issue overall).

It was a modest cottage but it had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker, toaster, tv, etc. The shower had amazing water pressure. It had a window style air conditioner. We used the laundry facilities which were close by our cabin. There was also a pool. It was close to the Cavendish beach.

Location was awesome (minutes walk to Cavendish beach) and staff was super friendly and helpful!! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Pool was sanitized between different “bubbles” using it, but unfortunately it was fully booked up by other visitors so we didn’t get to use it. Overall great spot for a weekend getaway!!

Breakfast was not included as advertised both on your site and the hotel site. We only picked this Inn for that reason because everything is closed as of Sept 15. We were very disappointed and would not return again because of this, think we should have been reimbursed for the amount of two breakfasts.

The Boardwalk is a small motel and the location is excellent. Parking is right outside the door. The room was really cute with a large fridge and microwave. The towels were nicer than towels in large hotels.
