We had a fantastic 2 night stay at this beautiful lodge. It’s a very well run place that manages to blend high class service with a friendly atmosphere, the staff were fantastic. The food was of a very high standard and a very reasonably priced bar also. The room was large, elegant and very peaceful. The absolute highlight for us are the animals, we were living amongst them with Rhinos wandering past our hut and a whole range of animals at the waterhole all day. Sitting on the verandah watching the animals just 30 feet from us leaves us with an enduring memory of our trip in Namibia in this very special lodge.

We had excellent very enjoyable dinner. Asked for take-away breakfast as we had to leave early, this was also marvelous. Our room was very spacious, clean and smart/tasteful, perfect stay!

Great stay in the desert. The lodge offers everything you wish for - nice and friendly staff, really good food (the dinner is just wow) and a great view. We booked a tour into sossuvlei at the lodge - that was a great choice. The guide was highly motivated, took us to the best places (also the ones that are not the tourist hotspots) and explained a lot of things about the landscape. Would definitely come back to desert homestead lodge if I will ever be in the area again.

I was at one of the private campsites. Beautifully designed and built with everything an overlander could want. Absolutely superb! Sites well spaced with about 400m between sites. Highly recommended.
