Our host picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry which was extremely helpful. The property was clean, great aircon (vital as it was super hot) and was clean. It was in a good location for the main beaches.

Hibiscus house was a great place to stay on the island. The room was great and the bed comfortable. Air conditioning was good. We had a TV and access to Netflix and other programs. The breakfast was great. Both Nicola and Allen were great hosts. When we asked about anything, they were very helpful in answering our questions. They picked us up from the ferry and took us back to the ferry. Our room was cleaned everyday.

The house was beautiful. It had 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, so it was absolutely brilliant. The location is perfect. We would totally recommend it. The people who looks after it was brilliant and so willing to help at any time during the day.

Secluded, private, comfortable villa with excellent facilities, hot water, wifi and Netflix. Beautiful island . Perfect for family time and relaxing.
Beautiful island . Perfect for family time and relaxing. Gorgeous, pristine beaches with soft sand and warm water. We mostly ate at our hotel but the food at Pimienta y Sal was really good too. Pimienta y Sal is right on Playa Larga which was my favorite beach of the three we visited. You can rent a golf cart at your hotel to get around the island, which is also very walkable too. Going to contadora next time, I would take one of the small planes that come in daily several times a day, especially if you’re pressed for time to get back to Panama City. The ferri ride is ok but I takes 2 hours each direction. The plane ride is only $20 more and it’s a lot faster. I would have really liked to have had the time to stay a couple days longer. We had a wonderful time!!!

Contadora Island made an easy get away from Panama City over a weekend during a two week work trip. The ferry to the island was affordable, easy and we even saw humpback whales and dolphins on the way. The beaches I visited on Contadora were clean with beautiful warm water. If I return to Panama City for work again, I am likely to book a trip to Contadora Island again.

Ferry ride from Panama City was easy, comfortable and safe.
Ferry ride from Panama City was easy, comfortable and safe. Island is also very safe, with friendly people and beautiful beaches. Renting a golf cart was the right thing to do as it allowed us to explore everything. The tap/shower water smells a bit funky, and there are not a lot of restaurants/food choices, but otherwise great for a few days for our family of three - we came for the gorgeous beaches! The town is very quiet, this is not a party place.

Contadora Island is beautiful and very safe.
Contadora Island is beautiful and very safe. The whitish, sandy beaches, and transparent to turquoise water are splendid. The disadvantages are the relatively high ratio of the cost of hotels relative to facilities. Food is very expensive. Restaurants charge European type food prices. In most of the US you would pay less for the meals served on Contadora. Fresh fruit is relatively hard to get on Contadora. If we return to Contadora we will bring fresh fruit and other food from Panama City.

The onsite dining facility (stunning view of the beach and nearby islands) and good food) and complementary breakfast were fabulous. Pleased to have an early morning gratus coffee before breakfast was being served. We ate at a couple nearby restaurants a few blocks away....easy walking distance.
Casa Tortuga (Italian) is a dining experience not to be passed up!
We walked everywhere but golf cart rentals looked like fun too.
White sand beach was perfect 'front yard.'

The Island is a beautiful paradise.
The Island is a beautiful paradise. Full of wildlife in land and sea. Great place to go inshore and offshore fishing, diving, snorkeling and whale watching. Its a fairly small island with main roads in good conditions which makes moving around fairly easy. Given the chance to rent a golf cart, do it. (Its worth it if you plan to visit all the beaches because "taxi" service could cost between $5-$10 per trip which is ridiculous considering the size of the island). There are 3 supermarkets in the island, although the goods are expensive. Most restaurants are expensive too. Expect to pay city prices or more in some restaurants. I would recommend to visit playa la ejecutiva and playa sueca. The best restaurant quality/price is pimienta y sal (for seafood, ceviche and fried fish).
Isla contadora is a great place, so small we tour it in an hour, in the little buggy we rented. All beaches are beautiful, and we discovered some untouched by men when cruising with David around the islands. Avoid Gianluca’s restaurant, overrated and much too expensive.
Sit on the patio, look at the animals grazing, enjoy the small planes landing, have a good drink and relax. Gerald’s staff is so warm and welcoming, we laughed and had a wonderful start of the holidays thanks to them.
I was there in low season (June). The location is super good - very close to ferry. I did not meet the owner or the manager but Archie was there who is in charge. He and Carlos was super nice, kind and helpful to make my stay easy and comfortable. The room was very comfortable with a big comfortable bed, and there was a big screen with Netflix. The hotel is old but very clean. There was construction at the hotel since it is low season to make it ready for the new season.
Had a fantastic stay at Hibiscus House. Nicola is a consummate hostess and a wealth of information on what to do and see on the island. The location of the house is ideal - within walking distance to two superb beaches on either side of the island. The house itself is very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the breakfast was equally ample and delicious. Would return in a heartbeat.
Great hosts! Bryan and Cristina were full of helpful information and incredibly nice, pleasant people. We traveled midweek and during the rainy season...the tranquility and lack of crowds was perfect for a relaxing retreat. The beach right next to the hotel was empty and picturesque, except for the plastic trash that washed ashore! Stop being so lazy and gross, humans!! :))
The room with terrace overlooking the beach and other islands. The staff...very hospitable and accommodating. The vibe:
relaxed and welcoming. The location: with a golf cart we were able to easily tour the entire island and visit all of the beaches. The beach at Mar y Oro (Playa Cacique) was as pretty as any, easily accessible, and far cleaner than most.
It’s a nice house. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need. Nice terrace in the back part of the house. We got lemon from a tree in the patio. The owner was very kind and pay us the transportation to the port. Good value compared to other places in Contadora. I can recommend it and might stay here next time.
Located on Pearl island which speaks for itself. The whole island is a dream for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing
+ Great staff (greeted by the owner and taken to short island introductory tour, awsome welcome drink)
+ the cat and wildlife in the garden
+ outstanding breakfast
The island is nice with 3-4 cool beaches and there are other islands in the archipelago worth visiting.
Andres did the welcome very well and was available throughout the stay in case we needed. The house is quite nice but doesn't get beyond the minimum level of service.
Absolutely fantascic ! We had a a great stay !
Strongly recommned the Loft. Clean and cosy. The caretaker Elena was very helpful.
Contadora has stunning beaches and cool restaurants.
We were sorry not to have more time to stay.
The property was really good value for the price. The best thing was the excellent service from Paul, he was right on time to pick us up from the ferry arrival, he have us tips to of places to go and beaches to explore. Great guy!
Good location, especially close to airstrip.
Convenient Restaurant and market on site.
Close to other local businesses.
Great ac.
TV with many channels
Golf cart is necessary to get around the beautiful island.
The room was clean and very comfortable, the breakfast delicious. The restaurant lady (Karla) is very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Playa Galeon is very close to the hotel, probably a 4 minute walk ;)
The staff was warm and friendly especially after the negative experience at Mar y Oro. The room we had was in exceptional condition and everything worked
The value outwayed what we paid
Tony is a great host, a very kind and helpful guide who supported us with useful info and tips throughout our stay on the island. The inn is located in a very quiet place.
The staff at the inn was great. Gabriela picked us up from the ferry and showed us around the island. The inn was clean, the internet was good, the bed was comfortable.
Daniel was very nice, he did everything that make us feel comfortable. The location of the Hotel is very good, you can walk to several beaches in a few minutes.
