This hotel is on the outskirts of Puerto Madryn but close to the beach and the room had wonderful views over the gulf. The breakfast options are very good and we enjoyed dinner there a couple of times. Loved design of the hotel and the spacious lounge area was well appointed.

Puerto Madryn was the end point of our Antarctica Shackleton...
Puerto Madryn was the end point of our Antarctica Shackleton Cruise with Intrepid Travel on the Ocean Endeavour. We decided to stay 4 days to visit Peninsula Valdez and look around this area of Patagonia I’m Chubut Province.
We were pleasantly surprised and were glad we took the opportunity to visit this small Argentinian city and its surrounds. Peninsula Valdez is well worthy of a visit in a rental car for the day even if not participating in a whale watch cruise. Punta Norte and Punta Piramide along with the visitor centre Istmo Carlos Ameghino are certainly worthy of a visit. Whereas Caleta Valdez at Punta Cantor we found to be most disappointing since it was filled with loud American cruise passengers and buses with little to see.
For Geologists the rock platform at Punta Piramide is made of mudstone absolutely full of fossil molluscs from the late Miocene Age of around 10 million years ago.

The main draw is the trips to see wildlife.
The main draw is the trips to see wildlife. I would recommend a visit to Punta Tombo to anyone although this is quite a distance away.
A walk along the beach and the small souvenir and craft market is nice. It wasn’t really a beach for swimming when we visited though (March).
There are some decent seafood restaurants too. We spent some time trying to locate a place to change currency and were not successful.

We drove in PM, which was horrible if you’re not used to driving without street lights or stop signs, and heavy traffic. We had a lovely supper and breakfast in the beach, then left for Peninsula Valdez and chose not to return to the city due to the stressful driving situation

Nice town. But limited tourist attractions.
Nice town. But limited tourist attractions. Went on an expensive whale watching trip. It took 2 hrs to get around the bay. We were in an uncomfortable boat for 1 hour and had a glimpse of 1 whale and her calf. Did not even get a photo of it. The sighting was so brief.

Península Valdes is a must and so are Gaiman, only An hour drive, and Punta Tombo, 2 hour drive, the biggest colony of Penguins in the world. So staying for two nights would be ok.
The beaches at Pto Madryn are lovely and so is the the wall along the warerfront.
Seafood dishes are available at all restaurants at a very good price and the quality is excellent

Its a small town with great sight seeing for southern right whales, magenallic penguins and sea lions.
Personally I did a day tour of whale sight seeing in the Valdes peninsula and snorkelling with the sea lions on the other day. Both were amazing. On the evening I walked by the sea coast and main market area which is pleasing. Great for a 2-3 day stay!
Honestly, this place is the best deal in Puerto Madryn! The staff were super friendly and helpful, good (simple) communal kitchen and common area, rooms were clean and comfortable, and it's the cheapest place in town! (that I could find) And although the breakfast is very basic, I wouldn't even expect to get it included for this price so it was a nice bonus. Also, it's a short walk into town for restaurants and groceries.
The staff were all wonderful in giving us a full tour of the property, offering to help book activities, and even teaching us some more Spanish! Breakfast included was wonderful, with tasty cakes every day. The hostel was clean, welcoming, and had a homely vibe. Special thanks to Eduardo for letting us stay after checkout whilst we waited for our bus.
We had an absolutely amazing stay with our host quick to meeting us at the place to provide the keys and also share recommendations for restaurants. We loved waking up to the morning with an ocean view while enjoying the close proximity of the place to all of the major attractions in Puerto Madryn; would highly recommend staying here!
Awesome hotel right across from the beach. All rooms have beautiful ocean views with patios. We ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant which was very good with an excellent staff. We walked the beach every day to see the pink flamingos and even a few penguins. A very relaxing few days in a modern hotel. I would stay again.
The staff were great.
Breakfast good.
Kitchens very good.
Room sizable and clean (we had a double with bathroom).
You can stay after you checkout and use the garden and kitchen etc until your late bus.
They can organise trips to the peninsula which are very good.
Possibly the best hostel we have used in Argentina.
We felt so at home in the hotel - the staff were so kind and accommodating. The room was cleaned daily and the breakfast was the best we’ve had for 5 months travelling. If we ever return we’d stay again:)
Amazing host and people kind and helping, place was lovely and in a perfect position to explore the city and to go to the peninsula tours. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
Hope to visit again very soon!
