The breakfast was really great, made on the moment by the family with some products coming from the garden ! They also run a restaurant and serve good food, which is really nice if one day you don’t want to go out. The family is very nice and helping, they speak very good English.

Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat.
Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list. It will be great to hire a tour guide for the explanation and exploration around the old castle area.
Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer.
Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

Beautiful view of the mountains, interesting castle, nice walks available. Very affordable. We ate at Pizza Visi and it was fresh and tasty (and very informal). We also took a great walking tour with Lazzaro.

Berat is a beautiful city, with breathtaking views,...
Berat is a beautiful city, with breathtaking views, beautiful streets filled with life, and amazing food. Definitely worth a visit. For homemade traditional Albanian food visit Lili Homemade food, perfect experience, lovely hosts and very delicious and cheap food
Beautiful location within walking distance of every important sight in Berat. The host showed us true Albanian hospitality and made us feel like we were visiting family. The host was extremely passionate about his hotel and the guest experience, willing to help with any questions we had. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat, if we ever come back to Albania we would book this hotel again without a doubt. We will never forget the amazing time we had here during our stay!
Nice, clean, tidy hotel room. The service staff was nice to me. There was a woman there who prepared breakfast and was kind; when I checked out of the hotel she treated me to a tangerine. The best thing about this hotel is that check-out was supposed to be at 11 a.m., and the hotel owner extended it until 1 p.m., since I asked her to extend it because of my online meeting, which I was very happy about. Recommend to all tourists who visit this beautiful historical city of Berat
Unfortunately we arrived with food poisoning from our stay on the beach so we didn’t visit Berat or left our room, but Hotel Kapllani was super helpful in accommodating everything what we needed. We ordered soup and they brought it to our rooms, they prepared a breakfast package for our early departure to the airport and the room was beautiful. Very pleasant stay during a unpleasant situation.
Maybe the best accomodation during our journey in Albania! Hotel Klea is pure history and comfort: Kseno and his family are warmly welcoming, the breakfast on the terrace (and the restaurant!) is great, bed+pillow was one of the most comfortable in my entire life, the temperature in the room is always perfect, the position inside the castle of Berat is brilliant.
Without a doubt the best hotel we have been to in Albania. Alessander and his family are charming, kind and funny. They make you feel at home and in paradise. It shows that they have put all the love and passion into the hotel and they have no problem explaining its history. It also has an unforgettable breakfast wrapped in the best views of Berat.
Berat is a medieval jewel in Albania. Mira (spelling?) our host and owner runs a beautiful little guesthouse with 7 rooms that are spotless clean, comfortable with individual AC units and bathrooms. The breakfast on her terrace is sumptuous and she’s always ready to help as she did with arranging private transportation to Saranda 3 hours away.
Xho's Forest Guest house is a family run hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the common breakfast area spacious. The owners were very helpful. They helped us getting taxis. The breakfast was ample and tasty. They also had laundry services which we availed. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for those visiting Berat.
We had an amazing time at Hotel Desaret, we slept really well and were very happy with the wonderful breakfast! We even enjoyed a delicious salad in the beautiful garden on the afternoon we arrived in the hotel. If we come back to Berat, we will definitely choose this hotel again! Thank you for everything!
A museum house turned into a very warm Hotel & Restaurant! With a view of the whole city and Old Town We enjoyed our stay here very much, Warm hospitality. And a very delicious traditional food with local dishes, and very good wine. Thank you very much for making our visit to Berat enjoyable.
Such a lovely and comfortable small hotel in the heart of Berat and the UNESCO quarter. The room is traditional, comfortable, clean and the staff is also really nice. Breakfast was delicious and the best I had during my Albania trip. The old bridge and castle are close by.
Really lovely place to stay whilst you're in Berat. The host Aleksander is extremely kind and hospitable and proud of his place, and will go out of his way to make this feel like more of a home stay than a hotel stay! Would highly recommend to anyone stopping in Berat 😊
Our stay at this hotel was truly amazing! The service was excellent, the rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Plus, the balcony had a stunning view of Berat Castle.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.
The location makes this place a true gem, the old town hotel makes it for a perfect stay in Berat.
The host were very welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional.
If it wasn’t raining, I’d be having break at witb the views of berat.
We had a great 2 nights in Berat. The hotel was in the perfect location. Near the main road, the walk up to the castle and had amazing views. A large breakfast (too much food to be honest) but very good! The beds were soft.
A beautiful flat, right on the main street of the new part of Berat….but it’s walking distance to everything. This was the prettiest flat of our 9 days in Albania - we could live in a space like this. Highly recommended!
Great hotel in Berat! The staff was friendly and always helping. They made us a wonderful breakfast. The location is really good to visit the Berat old town. The room was large and luxurious.
Exceptional hotel in Berat. Extremely comfortable and welcoming, with a fantastic breakfast. Location is right in the heart of the old town’s narrow alleyways. Highly recommended.
It’s located in the heart of Berat. The hotel is new so everything was really clean. We were surprised with a very generous Albanian breakfast. We absolutely loved it.
