My husband and I had an amazing stay at Valle Escondido. It was one of the highlights of our 3 week Costa Rica trip and we wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was huge, very clean and had a great view. The property itself is just beautiful and I especially love how much they value the environment and really try to make a positive impact. I also want to give a shout out to the manager Alfredo, we went on a tour of the property with him which was just great and made our stay really special. He also gave a great recommendations for the other places we were staying in Costa Rica.

This is a fantastic place, the views and sunsets are amazing. The room and facilities are impeccable, highest standard and sparkly clean. The staff is super nice and extremely helpful. They helped us organizing a guide to the Cloud forest (who was fantastic too) and gave us a lot of other helpful information and pointers. The location is slightly outside the center of Santa Elena on a ridge overviewing the rolling hills and the Nicoya peninsula. The sun sets right in front of the rooms which have fantastic windows and terraces to enjoy the view from. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The food in the restaurant is great too.

Room was big and very clean with a direct view on some big trees that gave a forest vibe during the night :) room has canvas representing the wildlife, super nice! Food was good, we didn’t manage to have breakfast because of an early tour at the national park, but they saved some boxes for us when we came back. We tried their restaurant and was good! At the reception we were able to organize cool tours :) Most of the things are payable with card

Best view of the Arenal Volcano. We stayed 3 nights, but 2 would be enough. We visited ecological reserve and Selvatura Park. The host served delicious breakfasts. We also ate dinners at the lodge. It was a very tasty local food with great presentation. The host, Eulogio, recommended a hike to the falls on the property, and we followed his advice. It took us about 1 hour to complete the hike and see the falls.

    Such a beautiful culture and land. The cloud forest is magical and the guides are passionate about sharing what makes it unique and about preserving it. The falls at El Tigre are an absolute must, and Los Pinos Cabins offer one of the most memorable and relaxing accommodations I've experienced in recent years.

    Mo reverse was a beautiful place to visit, nice restaurants/bars/shops, it is very hilly (bring it’s up a mountain). Lots to do whilst there. We used Treetop’s a to go zip lining and high bridges walk, they were very professional and made sure your safety was top priority.

    Monteverde is a must for any trip to Costa Rica, loved the vibe in town, chilled, arty, massive choice of restaurants, galleries and shops. Tons of activities. We did Monteverde Cloud Forest with a guide, and Treetopia zip lines. So much more to see, wish we could have stayed longer.

    If you are a birder, this is paradise.

    If you are a birder, this is paradise. In just a few days we identified nearly 200 species of birds. There are lots of reserves, parks, etc. in Monteverde to explore and it would be easy to spend a couple of weeks trying to see them all. Try to find a good guide, they are invaluable.

    Monteverde was one of the highlight of our Costa Rica tour.

    Monteverde was one of the highlight of our Costa Rica tour. The forests are beautiful (though we saw more wildlife during the day in Manual Antonio and Cahuita). Do not miss the night tour with a knowledgeable local guide, you can spot a lot of animals and he also explains a lot about animals that you can see on your own during the day. Millions of potentials for different activities (we tried Selvatura package, excellent, can only recommend), coffee plant tour, hanging bridges, hiking, etc. I wish we could have had more time here ! I would return anytime (to hike El Tigre which we did not have time now, do a canopy tour again and hanging bridges). Food was also great (Sabor Tico, at the football field and Choco Café Restaurante y Cafetería).

    We really loved our stay here. The room is very comfortable, modern and clean, everything you need. Silent at night, we slept very well. Cosy garden. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Very good information about everything you can do in Monteverde. They help to organize your trip and transport so easily, they arrange a bus pick up and drop off in front of the hotel.     A dream-like hotel far from the town. Actually you dont need to be in or near the town to enjoy Mondeverde, because all the attractions are far from the town either. So make yourself a favor and stay at Burbi Lake and live this dream just in the heart of nature. Besides that, the breakfast is extra ordinary and the staff is amazing.     This place was phenomenal, and I think we ended up with the room with the best view on the mountain. We absolutely loved the morning breakfasts on the exterior deck overlooking the valley. This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and we were sampling a few different places as we went in a circuitous route. This place captured the feeling of Monte Verde: lots of things to do but no crowds or time pressure, a relaxed pace and time to enjoy the moment.

    The overall atmosphere of the hotel was nice, room was spacious and nicely decorated, hosting family was pleasant. Restaurant serves decent food quality and good portion size at considerably cheap price. Location of the hotel is a bit further away from Santa Elena center however there is a shop literally 20 meters away aswell as other restaurants nearby. There is bus stops 100m away which takes you to Cloud Forest and surrounding towns.

    Great location as it's one of the hotels closest to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve but still within walking distance of town. Individual cabins nestled in the forest where you cannot see your neighbor. Multiple hiking trails on the property with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. Rustic in a good way. Kitchen was fairly well equipped. Our spacious cabin had two rooms with gorgeous stain glass details.

    Beautiful place! The hotel grows their own food, brews their own beer, makes their own soap. We stayed in the penthouse suite and the view was amazing. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was delicious. We also got a couples massage. They were able to book it the day before and it was very relaxing. Lovely place! I wish we were able to stay longer!

    The hotel staff were very friendly. We booked a two bedroom space and it was very spacious. The nice kitchen had the necessary dishes and inspired us to to cook dinner one day. Very nice view from the patio which was common.

    The tent was truly luxurious, much more than most hotel rooms, as was the partially glassed delightfully hot shower of the Pacific Tent. The outside treehouse view was very nice. The restaurant experience was wonderful.
