++parking, spacious room, comfy bed -sound from street at roadside rooms even in night loud,no shops close and no kettle/minibar available - for this 50Euros for a single without breakfast is in my eyes rather ambitious

Stopped here as part of a motorcycle tour. No secure parking but bikes were OK out front. Although the hotel looked dated from the outside it was clean and rooms where a good size with a nice bathroom. Rooms overlooked the Danube too which helped

I loved Severin's Fortress, it was such an amazing find and I could have stayed all day. The city itself is pedestrian friendly with a lot of options for eating. The weather wasn't great and the fountains weren't on but that's about the only bad thing I could say about the stay.

It is a border town with all the problems that come with that. I cycled from Serbia and there was a shocking amount of dead dogs on the road. Then, terribly, there were young girls working as sex workers on the first off ramp. Just shocking. The Romanian Government has to help these people. It was so sad to see them.

The room was very basic but perfect for a one night stay.
The room was very basic but perfect for a one night stay. There was a restaurant on location in the inner yard of the building, in a beautiful garden setting. The food was delicious! Because of the restaurant, the garden may get noisy in the summer months but it was pretty quiet at the beginning of October. There were many cars parked on the street so it may get tricky to park in peak season. The city is easy to get around in and the city center is a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

It's a good location for using as homebase and then doing roadtrips every day in the surrounding area.
City center also looks very nice with quite renovated buildings. A walk near the Danube river during the day is also great.

A city worth visiting due to the abundance of historical places and monuments. Also, on the shore of Danube close to the Serbian border.
A chic and quiet city with a welcoming positive energy, definitely we will be back!

After two vacations in Romania and staying at 8 different places, this might be the best place we've been at. The apartment is close to the city center, and has easily available parking spots. There are plenty of stores, restaurants and bars nearby.
The place is nicely furnished and clean, feels homely, and has all necessary comforts for one to enjoy their stay. The hostess was extremely nice and welcoming, and she even took time to write in our own language when needed. We'll gladly stay there again.
Due to that, it was an intermedia stop on our trip, and we need just rest on our long way. The hotel is in a great location in the city center. Also, the room for 4 people was huge enough, with comfortable beds, clean, so you have everything you need for simple rest. Because we were traveling in transit through Romania we didn't have Romanian currency, so the problem was that they couldn't accept payment by credit card, so as a solution we paid by cash in euros, big respect for reception flexibility.
We made a one night tranzit in Romania and the hotel was on the perfect location to our route to Timisoara. It has its own parking so it's very convenient. The food in the restaurant was super delicious. The breakfast was not in a block table but we requested what we want. This is way better food saving solution. Coffe was good. The suite was big and the bed was very comfortable.
Best apartment we ever stayed in in Romania
Great view, amazing host
Amazing location, right in the center, seeing the Danube from the window and the theatre on the other side of the strest
Full apartment with everything you need and more
We had free mini-bar with quite some options and coffee machine with pods for all the tastes in coffee
A traditional hotel of the era. 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Now looking a bit dated but dont let that put you off. Helpful and friendly reception, late night bar and excellent breakfast. The rooms are looking dated but very clean and well equipped. Fantastic views of the Danube and into Serbia on the other side. Recommended
First positive impression was the staff's attitude towards the visitors. No matter we planned to do both the check-in and check-out outside of their work hours the process was well-described and smooth for us. The next pleasant feeling was the interior and the nice smell of the hotel premises. There are also parking lots outside.
+Everything in the apartment was brand new.
+ Everything is clean.
+The design and overall feel of the apartment is really good.
+ Authentic Romanian urban feel.
+ Several supermarkets within walking distance.
+ 24 hour well stocked supermarket within walking distance.
+ The feel and look of the area is clean and safe.
Pretty good location, easily accessible with big free parking. The room was fitted with everything you may need plus it had a big balcony. Generally good place to stay for a night when you travel between Serbia and Romania.
Location ok, close to the center. Close to some eating places. They have their own restaurant, the food was ok.
Some parking spaces on the street, in front of the hotel.
Refrigerator in the room, not mini bar.
We appreciated the fact that our triple room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. It is very convenient that there is a 24 hour supermarket close to the hotel.
Great place for one night stay. The room was clean, with a large and very comfortable bed. We had a good breakfast with coffee in the hotel's restaurant.
