The route did not have enough boards to clearly direct guests to the reception entrance, we got lost and it could have been prevented. This caused an unnecessary panic but the roads are currently being fixed. Gravel road, quite limiting speedwise ending up causing the distance to feel long ended up feeling like we only checked in the next day . Recommend guests to use 4x4 cars to get there. We did not have water by the time we arrived so that meant no showers after tiredness from travel. But all in all it was a great experience nonetheless. I'd go back again if roads would be fixed and maybe go to the hole in the wall beach.

The scenery & beach were outstanding.

The scenery & beach were outstanding. Very disappointed in accommodation. We do not mind primitive accommodation, but expect it to be clean. I would rate it as 1🌟 accommodation. Chalets need a lot of maintenance and tlc.

I liked the sea view, the surroundings, the grounds, the pool, the restaurant the their welcoming. I enjoyed their breakfast the most. The stay was good but the roads are soo bad ,if I knew ,I should have used the Zithulele route instead of Coffee Bay route. So next time I would use the Zithulele route.

We had not visited this resort for at least 7 years.

We had not visited this resort for at least 7 years. The pictures on your site are very deceiving - from about 10 years ago after a revamp and - its looking rather shabby at this stage, but clean so okay. Management is not existent and when we arrived our accommodation had not been cleaned. After a bit of negotiation they moved us to another chalet which suited us fine. They wanted us to pay in and we refused - not our fault that they had not prepared our chalet? Where is management?? There were several lights not working, a kitchen cabinet that had come off its one hinge and later fell, main door very difficult to open and the bedroom sliding door impossible to open due to a corroded lock. When we brought these things to the staff's attention they were immediately remedied but why did we have to do it? Ongoing maintenance should be done. We were put in a chalet right next to the backackers and during the time we were there they had two big groups in the backpackers, braaing and playing music into the late hours right next to us. We were with our over 80 y/o parents so this was a bit disruptive on their sleep. The stunning beauty of this piece of the Wild Coast made us endure the inconveniences, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating - just lacking direction from a senior manager. The internet is very unreliable and for 3 out of the five days we stayed it was non-existent in the complex but if you walked out the complex and up the hill, you had signal - so not a network problem? The pool was green...I understand that we have come through some very tough times with covid lockdowns and the rural areas have suffered more than most. The potential of this resort is huge but it definitely is lacking a guiding hand at the moment. I hope things get better because the staff are really nice people and need their jobs.

    Loved the location.

Loved the location. I got the feeling that it is more of a fishing location than a family holiday. We did try and get in at The Ocean View which I feel would have been more suitable. The cleanliness could do with a going over although the linen was clean. We were majorly disappointed at the offering as depicted on the internet and what we actually saw, very far removed from one another

    Take your time.

Take your time. Leave early to allow time to get there slowly and experience the tranquiled, scenic enviroment. Make sure to get a map as GPS's are not very helpful in this area if you don't drive a 4x4
