Ravello is a perfect spot in the Amalfi Coast. It is away from the beach and the crowded towns of Amalfi and Positano but has easy access to them via the local bus network and ferries. Other beachside towns (Minori and Maiori) can be walked to with the local buses providing transport back. Being higher, Ravello has stunning views and gets lovely breezes. It is also close to the Valle delle Ferriere walk, hosts Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone and many excellent restaurants and shops. Really a perfect spot to holiday. My favourite restaurant was Le Cucina di Sofi in via Rome - honest simple tasty food, although the Garden Ristorante and Bella Vista sul Mare were also very good. There is a music festival in June each year and while I missed it, I can imagine how good it would be because the ‘stepped’ area of the town is a natural amphitheater.
Be prepared for stairs when visiting the Amalfi coast. The best places to stay involve stairs. Pack as light as possible as buses and ferries and streets are crowded and because of the stairs. I discourage driving the a Amalfi Coast. There is one major road, it is clogged from morning to night and was not built for the sizes of vehicle that use it today so is mayhem. Taxies are very overpriced. I recommend that you use the frequent buses and shuttle services instead.

Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town...
Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town like other Amalfi coast towns. There is a nice charm in the town itself. For those that don't rent a car, there is a bus that takes you to Amalfi. There are also paths that take you to Minori and Amalfi, just remember that the elevation of Ravello is at 1000ft, so walking to the other towns will require a walk back up the mountain or the use of a bus or taxi.

There are stairs everywhere, but I knew this. Two beautiful gardens to visit. You need to be fit to stay in Ravello. There are walks around the hills. Good restaurants and a very good small supermarket/deli

Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible.
Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible. The town itself is small but there are a handful of great restaurants and shops to see. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, this is the place.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. When the day-tourists arrive it becomes a bit crowded. In general it is a tourist place. Souvenir shops with overpriced ceramics and other useless items. There are some nice restaurants.
It is very difficult to get to and from Ravello with public transportation. Taxis in Amalfi charged 100 euro to go to Ravello, pure robbery. The bus takes 1½ hours from Amalfi and doesn't go often. You can walk down to Minori and Amalfi. Takes 45-60 minutes depending on fitness level. Walking up is also possible, but quite hard for the average person.

Villa Barluzzi is located close to the square with amazing...
Villa Barluzzi is located close to the square with amazing views, stunning grounds and beautiful rooms. More like a bed and breakfast, Salvatore the manager is the absolute best! He contacted us before we arrived to give some details and welcome us, took the information of our car service and was in touch with the driver while we were on route. He saw that we had everything we could possibly need. Showed us around the Villa property, brought us up to the square, to show us around and just made us feel like family. I highly recommend this beautiful place! We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying here again.
The views from the hotel were magical, and are what made the hotel so special alongside the very friendly staff. The pool area was also lovely and there was generally a really relaxed laid back atmosphere at the hotel. Food in the restaurant was also good! The bus stop outside the hotel was also very handy. We had travelled from Sorrento to Amalfi by Ferry and then bus to Ravello. Very straight forward but hot so it was great the hotel was right next to the Ravello stop!
The most amazing view of any hotel we have ever stayed in and the best in Ravello. Gorgeous gardens with lemon groves feels like you have an entire villa to yourself. Clean room and short walk into Ravello. Martina was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We arrived early as we wanted to avoid the traffic and Martina arranged for a place for us to park and offered us some fresh breakfast. Will definitely be coming back
This hotel was our favorite stay in Italy on our honeymoon. The room is very nice and clean and the private balcony with seating had an absolutely amazing view! The complimentary water daily was also greatly appreciated. Pool and lounge area are so beautiful and relaxing. Everyone was also super kind and helpful with check in and suggestions on where to go in the area. Would highly recommend staying here!
We chose to spend our honeymoon in Ravello and this accommodation is extraordinary. The pictures cannot capture the wonderful landscape that can be seen directly from the balcony. The room is coquettish, cheerful and very clean, and the brothers who were our hosts were top notch people. Full breakfast served on our balcony in the morning and a delicious cappuccino. We will definitely come back!
This location was beautiful
We stayed in room #20 and we had views for days
We got greeted by the owner who was so helpful , he gave us a map of ravello , gave us bus tickets & booked us reservation for dinner . 10/10 service !!!!
We had dinner one of the nights at their location & their risotto was to die for , delicious… definitely recommend this hotel for stay at ravello
it was beautifully crafted room and the lady owner is very kind , helpful and available . we requested her an early breakfast and she was available at 7:30 am for us whereas we went to kitchen at 9 am and she kept waiting. she is best rooms in Ravello , provincia si Salerno and Italia. having lived in many hotels I think she is the best !
5 stars !!
The most beautiful private terrace with the most amazing view we ever had, the best location in the town straight on the bus and taxi stops. Room was just exeptional....I couldnt believe to have all this for this price....if I ever come back to Ravello which is just amazing definitely it will be this hotel! 5 stars from me!
Such a stunning location, and wonderful staff who were so accomodating. This was our second last night in Italy and we stayed at some amazing places but this just took the cake. Ravello was wonderful and a 10-12 min walk away, and this accom had views like no other. Look no further for accom in Ravello!
Very nice location, just outside of the most crowded part of Ravello yet easily accessible by bus. A couple of steps, yes, but if you don't like stairs you're in the wrong part of Italy. Clean, modern rooms, nice little balcony, everything working properly. Antonella was very nice and helpful!
Best stay in all of Italy. The hotel was so clean, staff so wonderful and service outstanding. We wish the rest of Italy was the same as this jewel
The family even offered free transfer to and from dinner in Scala, the bed and the room was stunning. Quiet comfortable and just heaven
The location of this property is perfect for quick access to the town square and the main entrance of Ravello. We were blown away with how nice the room was and the steam shower was amazing. The room was great... one of our best during our entire trip to Switzerland and Italy.
The host sent a film which well described how to get to the property and how to get in. There was some extras like water, coffee and tea. Location is extraordinary. Views probably among the best in Ravello. All practical things, like beds, kitchen and bathroom were top class.
The scenery and landscape was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is located very close by to one of the most beautiful places in Ravello which is Villa Cimbrone. The hotel itself is quite lovely, the room was beautiful and comfortable.
Property is brand new and in the best location. Easy access to parking, piazza and all the restaurants, etc. The apartment is only a few stairs to access which is hard to find in Ravello. Host Danielle is also wonderful.
This hotel was beautiful, clean and the view was outstanding…staff were the best we had in Italy…women there were exceptional…will recommend and will return in future
Beautiful views, pool, and beautiful midcentury common spaces of the hotel. Very convenient location to central Ravello (with no stairs to get to the town square)
