Facilities were basic and perhaps not suitable for all eg we did not have a Tv in our room, water facilities in the kitchen were unusual (but fun) and the shower was outdoors but there was a beautiful bath, cosy sitting room, excellent air conditioning and wifi, everything worked and a great location. We were there for three nights and we loved it. By the way the host Erika paints beautifully and has a small gallery in the main street opposite the hotel.

The property has beautiful views over Prince Albert and is a short drive away for the main road and restaurants. This wasn't our first stay at the Karoo View Cottages and it won't be the last!

Prince Albert is a beautiful quaint little town that makes you slow down and just appreciate your surroundings. Slow life, no rush! Everyone greets! Lots of history that has you in awe because you are also contributing to the of the locals keeping their town going when you buy at the market, shops, restaurants and museum. It feels like "Home".

We only had one full day in Prince Albert, and took our hostess's advice to visit the fig farm about 25km out of the town ( figs were in season ).
Driving through the desolate Karoo is a wonderful experience, and a visit to the farm is highly recommended.
There are plenty of restaurants in the town - we ate at one ( The Rude Chef ) - service was excellent and our fish and salad done to perfection.
We were surprised not to see high walls or fences around the properties and don't recall even seeing burglar bars on any of the doors and windows - apparently there is very little crime in the area.

A small, charming, picturesque town with abundant sunshine, although rather hot in the summer months, situated at the foot of the impressive and very scenic Swartberg Pass. A number of quaint old buildings, a reasonable selection of restaurants, a fine hotel and a good number of excellent guest houses, a surprising range of local produce, such as wine, cheese, olive oil and lamb, and a brilliantly clear night sky, ideal for star-gazing.

Prince Albert is a small town in the Karoo which is very neat and well maintained. It is quiet and has an air of tranquility. The town is also very safe and one can walk around without and fear of harm. It has a variety of little specialty shops which are nice to browse through and also has coffee shops and restaurants. Our third visit to Prince Albert and we will be back again next year.
Charming oasis perfectly located to explore the town of Prince Albert by foot. The cottage was thoughtfully prepared and equipped with all we needed for our stay - little things such as milk, firewood & starters were made available. Comfortable bed, luxurious bath, lovely garden setting to enjoy the sunset and cosy fireplace were just some of the features that made our stay most enjoyable. The communication with host was excellent and on-going from the time we booked to our departure - thank you Elize!
Inga and Albert are attentive and friendly hosts. Albert showed us around when we arrived and also recommended a hiking trail and restaurants. They have a lovely property and we would certainly choose to stay there again! (of the 3 Prince Albert establishments we stayed in during April and June of 2022, this one is our first choice for future stays if we book for bed and breakfast and not self catering).
Inga prepared a delicious breakfast - refer to their photos for the breakfasts and view.

Absolutely charming two bed-roomed cottage very close to town and all amenities. Nice and clean, very tastefully decorated, well designed, spacious, indoor log burner, lovely kitchen with everything you would need for self catering, fabulous little entertainment area with splash pool, barbecue, deck chairs and outdoor dining table. We really enjoyed our stay at Elfen house and would highly recommend this property to any tourists visiting Prince Albert!
Hospitality at Saxe Coburg was very good. We were made to feel very comfortable
The accommodation was also very good. Comfortable and meeting all our needs and expectations.
The breakfast, while not initially booked, was very good.
The town has good restaurants. We ate at the Swartberg Hotel. Hospitality and service was good. The food was excellent.
Galleries and shops are conveniently located, all within easy walking distance.
The location is BEAUTIFUL. Prince Albert is such a special town and this property is such a gorgeous piece of it. If you haven't been to Prince Albert, you have to go! Johann is such an amazing host and the dam and pool are SO WONDERFUL. The views are really spectacular from the property. We were a group of 8 and we had the best 4 night stay. We didn't even do all there is to do in Prince Albert. Highly recommend. :-)
The cottage had everything we needed for our one night stay. There was wood, firelighters and a clean cooking grid for a braai. All the kitchen basics were provided. There were lots of small touches such as card games and milk in the fridge. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Its close to Prince Albert which is a very cute town. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.
We absolutely loved our stay at Vergeet My Niet! The property is well located close to the town center, however offers the tranquility and scenery of a country getaway. The cottage was well appointed, beautifully decorated and clean. Hosts Hans & Marina are warm & friendly, and really made us feel welcome. So glad we discovered this gem in Prince Albert. We look forward to our next stay at Vergeet My Niet 🙌
Wow what a lovely surprise
The Prince Albert suite was awesome ... top quality finishes really worth every cent we paid!
The gardens are from out of this world not even talking about the Chicken Hotel ... ye, you read correctly.
Everything was done with so much passion
The breakfast was a feast to say the least
Thank you it was amazing!!!
Comfortable, well equipped unit with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Although it was self catering there was a generous supply of breakfast items such as rusks, cereals, yogurt, juice, ground coffee plus plunger pot, tea, milk & sugar. Our overnight stay was both enjoyable and memorable.
Thank you very much to Jenny for a well kept, neat and tidy accommodation. It was easy to locate and access. Well stocked with all the necessities to make for a great stay and experience. If I make it again to Prince Albert, I know exactly where to stay.
We liked everything! Sandra's place is so clean, stylish and cozy, we didn't want to leave. Thank you for the extras, lovely muesli, yoghurt, milk, teas and coffee. Our first choice in Prince Albert - always.
Everything excellent, the accommodation is exceptional and Lynne-Marie made us feel very welcome. Location is perfect and Prince Albert really impressed us. We will be back soon!
