The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The rangers were good fun and all very knowledgeable. We successfully managed to see all the big 5, down to the commitment of our ranger. We really enjoyed the evening meal switching location each night and we were lucky enough to sample fine dining and river bbq under the night sky. Overall, a wonderful and an unforgettable stay.

It is an awesome camp within Kruger, unfenced so open to all the wildlife around. The tents are beautiful with a large deck & gas braai for outdoor cooking. The staff went above & beyond to give us a fantastic experience.
We really would have liked to have the elephants walk past ;) but had to make do with Buffalo, Leopard, Baboons & bush buck, & roaring lions at night - such a cool experience.

Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience. This being said, it is not a zoo! Don't expect to see all the existing animals in the parc! Some are easy to spot and other not so much, this is real animal kingdom and it's difficult to say who is watching who! Sun sets are also amazing with beautiful colors. Vegetation is small but dense(bushes). According to our guide it is easier to spot the animal during winter / dry season. Bushes hve less leaves making easier spotting animals and the animals gather around the water spot. During summer it is the opposite. Bushes are more dense and r'there is water everywhere making animal spotting more difficult. So an advice: winter is great for animals but of course temperature are lower so be prepared for low temperature and bring some warm clothes.

Very good upmarket hotel with well equipped luxury rooms and facilities. Dinner and breakfast included in the rate and both were exquisite. Friendly and helpful staff to assist from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. I can highly recommend a planned holiday to this hotel which is situated only a few hundred metres away from the Kruger Gate leading to Skukuza. Great vacation.

If you’re thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking and do it. The accommodations were absolutely incredible. The staff was so friendly & helpful. We took 1 game drive with them and it was a 200/10. Our guide, Elvis, did everything in his power to help us find the Big Five & I’ll never forget him & his knowledge. Let me just say I thank God for nature, I love how the environment of Skukuza is so clean. I enjoyed the game drive with our amazing driver Lucky from Buschbuckridge lodge. There was some delay in the pick up from the airport which we had requested. Apart from that the stay was well beyond expectations. The staff was ever smiling, polite and eager to please. Skukuza in the Kruger park is amazing, as is the whole park...
Skukuza in the Kruger park is amazing, as is the whole park really! We saw the big 5 in 3 days of self driving with kids (8&9) and stayed in Berg-en-dal rest camp for 2 nights and the Kruger Gate Hotel for 2 nights as well, to see a different part of the park. The restaurant at the hotel and Skakuza rest camp we’re both lovely. As a tourist though, in SA, you should always be vigilant when travelling especially with all your stuff.

The quality of the rooms is amazing (I stayed in a room off the train and inside it was actually even better than the carriages - only missed out on the view and novelty). Food was also fantastic and service very friendly. The pool/bar area is a breathtaking place with constant hippo views while we were there and fantastic bar service. The best thing was the game drives - Sizwe was the best, charismatic and took time to show us stuff he knew we'd be interested in.

It had beautiful interior, it was super clean, barely any insects, the host was reachable and responsive all the time - without a doubt I would come there again! The place looks almost better than in the pictures and cleaning was done every day. Also, this place is within a protected space from the Kruger Gate Hotel and you can use their pool and restaurant if you consume something there. Thanks again for having us, it was amazing!

From the moment you arrive, you feel like home. They spend a lot of thoughts on the details, as you will have 2-3 people, that will be responsible for specific room numbers and who know your preferences, names and take personal care of you. The location, the venue, the rooms, the view (hippos) are amazing. This was such a unique and wonderful experience

It is also great that guests can use facilities of the Kruger Gate Hotel. What makes a real difference though is the staff - Clint and his helper who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable in very extreme conditions (we stayed on the week of flooding).
