If you want to visit here during the off-season like we did,...
If you want to visit here during the off-season like we did, understand that most of the restaurants close after lunch during this time of year. We came in mid-January. Obviously, it will be too cold to enjoy swimming in the beach. But walking around the historic centre was very nice. It was nice that there were so few people in the town during our time there. I would recommend it, if you are into that sort of thing. It was a great chance to take some nice pictures and videos without a lot of people, and/or crowds. There was only one restaurant open for dinner, that our Hotel recommended to us. We tried to find other options, but there were none. Also, the Villa of Tiberius is closed on Monday and Tuesdays.

We were looking for a beach stay not far from Rome.
We were looking for a beach stay not far from Rome. Sperlonga is 2 hours south of Rome. I highly recommend this beautiful beach community. It’s quiet, with a lovely street of shops and restaurants. But it’s all about relaxing on the beach.

If you like to travel and immerse yourself in the culture of a country, Villa Epi is the place to stay. Marco, the host speaks English, the vacationers are local people from surrounding areas in Italy. We ate a local restaurants. Getting around Sperlonga was challenging because Villa Epi is on the outskirts of the town, however Marco is at your service. He will bring you to the town, pick you up, free of charge.

Sperlonga is such a gem, filled with nice restaurants, cafes and small shops during summer season. Lovely boat excursions and interesting history with excavation of Tiberius villa. Plenty of beach options nearby, also if you would like more secluded places. Renting a boat must be ideal to reach these places.
Not so easy to move around to nearby villages without a car or taxi. Bus routes not so developed.

The village of Sperlonga is beautiful, so many gorgeous little walk ways and paths to explore. The restaurants were amazing, with really good seafood. The beach was lovely, it was too cold to sit on, but to walk along and collect shells with my daughter was lovely. It was beautiful and would recommend.
We had an amazing host who was extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring that our stay in his beach house was enjoyable. The apartment itself is situated right on the beach and comes with the added perk of two complimentary umbrellas at a nearby beach club. This club also offers refreshing drinks and delicious lunches. The large terrace provides a breathtaking view of the sea. Although the walk to the center of Sperlonga is a bit lengthy, it is pleasant and well worth it.
Not top luxury, but the right value for the price. Very nice hosts. Considering Sperlonga being so nice, you'll spend more time outside anyway. This place is for sleeping and for that it is great. The main bed being reachable via relatively steep stairs. Therefore you may avoid if you have backpain.
There is a parking right in front of the place, which is of great value in Sperlonga, mainly during the season. Small shops' restaurants, pharmacy and beach very close by. Few minutes walk from stunning Sperlonga old town.
A perfect and relaxing vacation on the beach. Marco is such a wonderful and thoughtful host. This is a very newly built villa with three bedrooms (two face directly on the beach and one on the garden). we enjoyed watching the sea from our comfortable bed! Everything was spotless clean and very comfortable. Highest marks to host, facilities and location. We enjoyed a winter getaway and celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in style. We highly recommend. It deserves 8 stars!
one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever been in. large, comfortable room with strong shutters. room is pitch black in the morning. huge bathroom. everything you need for a beach vacation, even a little beach bag and a drying rack outside. the breakfast was incredible. fresh fruit, cheese, meats, fresh espressos, etc etc! I could sit and eat for an hour in their beautiful garden. Beach is across the street, but you do need to rent an umbrella.
Location is out of town of Sperlonga and it takes another 10 min drive to get there. For 200 euros I would expect a better place Europe.Place had fundamentals but only one AC in the kitchen area not in the bedrooms. Place is a little run down if you ask me. Could use some upgrades. No trashcans either in the place, had to ask> The pictures are nicer than the place actually is. Owners are nice but place was underwhelming
The location is lovely, 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes to centre of Sperlonga. Peaceful with stunning views. The breakfast was fantastic, great variety and all home made. Coffees made to order. Towels for the pool/beach supplied and the staff in the restaurant LaVeranda couldn’t be more attentive and friendly.
Such a wonderful location high up above the sea, with views from my room of the local mountains. This is a small mom-and-pop hotel and the family were extremely kind and warm. Room was very basic but had a nice French-style door looking out over a little patio and the scenery. The price wasn't bad.
This hotel is perfectly located next to the beach. As it is a private beach you just give your room number to the man down at the beach and you pick where you want to sit.Did not eat here. Not expensive and rooms are very clean.lovely balcony to sit and watch the sun go down
The location is very convenient, directly across the road from the beach. The lovely staff can arrange for sun bed hire and you pay through the hotel. Approx 12min walk up to the old town. Parking directly onsite. Very clean large room and we had a large terrace.
Right on the beach--our room overlooked the ocean and was just stunning. Very peaceful property if you are looking to unwind as we were. Our hosts were SO friendly and helpful with everything! Breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choices.
Exceptional experience, the rooms were nice and clean with a spectacular view. The staff were very attentive to detail and professional. I will never forget the time I have spent in this hotel and I will definitely be back.
Location is amazing, right in front of the beach and with direct access to the old town. The staff was very friendly and honest, and the beach is beautiful- you also have a private pass to it if you stay at the hotel!
Casa di Mari has been clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the terrace and the balconies were just perfect to enjoy the sun and it was close to the beach and the center of Sperlonga. We just loved it here!
High standard modem hotel with friendly and helpful staff and a most enjoyable breakfast. Short walk or shuttle to the beach where the facilities are good
The restaurant food was also very good
The location of the hotel was great and the free shuttle to the hotels private beach area was very good. The room was nicely furnished but tired and not well maintained.
Wonderful place to stay! This hotel is gorgeous, very friendly and sweet hostess, I loved Sperlonga and I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to return one day!
Loved Tamara's kind and warm hospitality. The apartment is easy walk to the beach. Discounts at local restaurants and sunbeds included on the beach. Fabulous.
