Was in preskil resort on occasion of my daughter's 8th birthday. The journey was very long from my home town but it was worthy been to the place. Arriving at the resort, i was totally amazed by the location..we had to cross a pool from the main road over the sea to finally be at the entrance.. The island style decoration concept from the entrance was just "WoW".. We were nicely welcomed and accompanied to the front desk.... The view from the lobby was simply mesmarised.... Cbecking was really nice #not too long... We welcomed also by tha RESIDENT MANEGER himself....MR K.SANMUTHIYA.. Where which we felt very previlaged. ..... The roon was very cosy.... From the room the view was.....just...so beautiful...so elegant...just looking as a WOW.... DIRECT VIEW on the ocean. .... Had a connecting room... With two separated terraces .. Both same first class view..#2123 Accommodation and housekeeping was OK.. The resort had 3 restaurant...As we were in HB.... we went to only 2 of them... First night for dinner were at the buffet... Variety of food was ok Service was ok.. The indian chef at the buffet was very helpfull... The next part if the stay........ #THE SUNRISE........ # DREAMY. ....... WOULD RECOMEND JUST FOR THIS.... #AAWESOME. ... I've been lucky to have a table for breakfast with the view on the ocean... Cherry on the cake...... Was...RACHELLE.... The waiter who was looking after the table....she made the family extremely happy. ..we had our fruit platter already served on the table Hot chocolate for kids... My favorite double expresso .....she just seemed I .love for her job.... #thats the passion.. For the service we had also..#Patrice the fnb manager.... Maklein the restaurant manager. .... Am sorry if am nit writing your names correctly. ....its because your personality and professionalism.....was much more appreciated... We were lucky to meet also the 2 DUTY MANGERS on both nights of our stay...

My wife and I loved staying at La Bamboo Guesthouse - just our taste in Lonely Planet old- school backpackers accommodation. The house was quite a maze and we had one of the rooms with terrace overlooking the river. Had everything we could possibly need and Mala and her husband Vishnu couldn’t have been more helpful with simple breakfast to set us up for the day. The beautiful Blue Bay is only 15 minutes away on local bus - well worth the rs30 bus fare just for the trip. Short walk to several supermarkets and bus terminal short walking distance.

Mahebourg is the downtown of Mauritius, do not stay there unless you wanna sleep for a night so you can be closer to the airport because it is closer to the airport, otherwise the north side is the best for accommodation.

Mahebourg is not at all touristy. You get A true taste of island life. The eateries are mainly visited by locals with the odd tourist. They're cheap & always delicious. I must recommend Chez Marilyn. Blue Bay is a short drive from town & well worth a visit! We stayed for 7 nights which was a few days too long, maybe 4 or 5 nights is enough.

Mahbourg is charming.
Mahbourg is charming. I like city sounds and working people so I found it to be quite charming. Nearby restaurants were delicious and friendly and affordable. Transit is available to most destinations. The Monday market was very interesting. The people were delightful. We loved our stay.

We visited the resort from the UK in March for my Wife's...
We visited the resort from the UK in March for my Wife's 30th Birthday Celebration and honeymoon holiday. Just before the Covid-19 lockdown we were there. All the staff were super friendly and even helped me get special birthday balloons for my Wifes birthday which they searched the whole island for! Special thanks for Linda who was sooo soo caring in making sure we had a great time. Also thanks to all the other staff like Akshay and the rest who I cant remember all their names! My Wife was also surprised with dinner by the beach one evening which was lovely and romantic! She also enjoyed the Spa which was all complimentary as we were celebrating our marriage. Overall we had a great time even though the weather was not always the best and one day we had to stay in the hotel but there was many things to keep us entertained and the evening entertainment especially on Independence day was fantastic and great fun. The food was great too and had a very nice room! Thank you again all the great staff and would definitely recommend this resort to all! Joey Bajela

Mahébourg is a nice place to stay only a few days or the visit the museum of history and the market, good places to eat also good supermarkets can be found. You can take to bus to almost every place on the Island. It's nearby the most beautifull places to snorkel around Pointe 'dEsny and Blue bay. Catamaran trips can be booked a Pointe Jerome. There's no beach at Mahébourg.

Rooms were spacious, we booked a sea view room which was on ground level, so not really sea view, however it was great because we could sit outside our room & have access to bar for drinks etc. Also at the last minute we requested an extension for the day only & although we could not stay in our room they provided another room. Staff at reception were marvellous went out of way to assist us. Very impressed by hotel security at gate & front of resort, friendly while also being diligent.

Right on the shore, great views over the indian ocean from the pool, or from the breakfast room (at the time of my booking all seaview rooms were already taken). Free parking within the yard. Breakfast is not included, but it worth the extra, expcially the wonderfull views from the breakfast room in the morning. Nice inerior design in the lobby. Mahebourg town center, market, waterfront all within about 10 mins walking. Close to the main road, but quite and calm!

It's a great guesthouse in lovely Mahebourg. The staff were very friendly, and the room was great especially for the price. I really appreciated the water dispensers in the corridors, you can get filtered, cold water without buying plastic bottles. It's also easy to park outside. It's about a 10-minute walk into Mahebourg, and is just a block back from the coast (not a swimming area, it's a quiet fishing area). Nearby beaches are beautiful.

A great option for those who don't want the all inclusive resort experience, but rather a . Close to the airport, the centre of Mahebourg, the London Way supermarket, Le Bistrot restaurant & the beautiful Pointe d'Esny & Blue Bay beaches, you can still get the full Mauritius experience by staying in a guest house. Everything works perfectly in the accommodation. The owner is interested in her guests & that they enjoy their stay!

Nathalie and her entire team made our stay a really memorable one. The view was great, there was an infinity pool, the room had a bar fridge with tea/coffee making facility and breakfast was a good spread. Additionally, we went on an awesome island hopping day trip with a local fisherman Jean-Paul arranged by Nathalie. I would recommend this place in Mahebourg to my friends.

Very good price performance ratio. It is the nicest house in the area and we reached it easily by bus from the airport (first to Mahébourg central station and then the bus to blue bay). The apartment has air conditioning in the bedroom and a large fan in the living room. It is spaceous and has everything you need. There are good restaurants nearby, too.

Very Friendly and helpful Staff. Room was always clean and activities was great and free. Beautiful views and the beaches is stunning. Small corals near the hotel made it easy to go snorkeling just a few meters from the hotel beach.

This is an old hotel with old furniture, keep this in mind. The cleanliness was not very good, but the sheets on the bed were ok. We had just a night here so overall it was ok for a short stay.
